I would not recommend this practice. I rarely feel the need to leave a negative review, but felt compelled to pass on my experience because I personally would have appreciated knowing these things before I made the appointment and waited two months to be seen. Be prepared to: 1) Fill out numerous forms online ahead of time 2) When you arrive, you will be handed an IPAD to review the information you previously entered, deal with their technical difficulties, and add more, including your credit card information. YOU will be taking photos of your driver's license and insurance cards and will also have a paper copy of the HIPPA form to complete. 3) If you balk at the "unusual" amount of duplicitous, weighty information you have to provide, you might be asked, "Ma'am, have you ever been to a specialist before?" Well, it just so happens that I have! And FYI - I did not encounter even 1/2 of this red tape before either of the two outpatient procedures I had at the hospital, BOTH under general anesthesia!! 5) Once in the exam room, I was told that one of the small areas that I wanted to be evaluated was considered to be a "rash" and might need a separate appointment to which I replied that I mentioned that the "rash" area needed to be evaluated when I made the appointment. To the provider's credit, the area was reviewed, and treatment was provided (without antiseptic applied first?) and I was told to go to the checkout. 6) At the checkout, I paid for the procedure but was NOT given an itemized receipt. Apparently, the doctor has to review that and it would be sent the following day. I received a receipt for only the $$ amount only when I requested it. 7) Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to Stone Ridge Dermatology. read more

This is by far the best dermatology practice I've ever been to. The staff is warm and professional, and the dermatologist is outstanding. Her laser hair removal services are unmatched--she has the best equipment in the area, which makes all the difference, especially for women with darker skin tones. I also loved my HydroFacial. We stopped going to this practice years ago. Recently I needed to make another appointment for my daughter. When I asked if she wanted to come back to this practice because it's close to where we live. My daughter said "no, because the doctor lady made me feel very bad about myself." My daughter is 12 now. She was only 7 or 8 back then. I should have addressed with the doctor about her tone and attitude during our appointment but often when we face an authority figure we hesitate doing so out of respect. "people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." I hope Dr. Chaudhry has improved her bedside manner over these years. It's sad that now we have to go to Ashburn/Leesburg for skin issues. I felt the need to share our experience here when I was searching for dermatologists recently and saw there are still mixed reviews about this dermatologist. read more

Called to make an appt regarding a referral from stone springs emergency room for a puzzling spot on my arm. The ER dr said that the dermatologist would get me in right away if i explained that i was seen in the ER. The receptionist at this drs office was abrupt, and told me that the dr is booked until July. I asked to speak to the office manager Christine, who was rushing me to tell her what the problem is. I explained everything all over again and asked could I come in to be seen. Christine told me, "first what is your insurance to pay"? Then she said that i as the patient need to call the hospital and have them fax "the records". And then she said that after she gets the records, she will need to discuss with the dr to see if and when the dr wants to see me. What Dr in 2025 needs to get faxed notes from another dr re a spot on the arm that could be Lyme? When I responded that that was a bizarre way of handling an ER referral, Christine then rudely said she was with a patient and to hold on. After 5 minutes of holding, I hung up. The people employed by the practice are a reflection on the Dr. The Dr is not committed to caring for patients and wants sick patients to run around doing administrative work BEFORE THEY EVEN TELL YOU IF THEY WILL SEE YOU FOR AN APPT. the practice is extremely unprofessional. Her manager acted like I was calling to get VIP access to a club vs being respectful toward an emergency medical need. If you choose to try this lady Dr don't be surprised if they devalue you and your condition. It's a joke over there. Look at all of the bad reviews and low rating. A couple of years ago, I went to Dr. Chaudhry because I kept getting weird skin lesions on my face. I was at my lowest point and desperate for help! Dr. Chaudhry was the 4th doctor I'd seen for this issue and came highly recommended by another doctor. Rather than listen to me, Dr. Chaudhry walked into the room and declared that this was "something you're doing to yourself". She claimed that I was skin picking and causing these lesions. She sent me home with an antibiotic ointment and no hope. Fast forward a few months, the lesions had now spread to my chest area. I went in for a routine mammogram. The nurse at the center took one look at me and said "I've seen this one time before. We'll get it cleared up." Many mammograms, biopsies and appointments later, I found out I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Inflammatory Breast Cancer. The breast cancer was causing the lesions all over my body! We could cure the lesions, but not the breast cancer itself. And, the lesions did clear. Finally! Although at the cost of living with a Stage 4 disease. It discusses how doctor's should biopsy strange skin lesions in patients where the lesions are not clearing up and that this can be an indicator of breast cancer. I can't help but wonder how my diagnosis would be different; how my life would be different if Dr. Choudhry had just listened and done a skin biopsy. I'm not blaming her for my cancer, but I am calling her out on kicking me while I was down. If you want a doctor who is interested in solving skin issues (and not just hyping the latest injectables), I sincerely plead with you to look elsewhere! read more

I've been dealing with a painful skin condition for years that flares up from time to time. I saw 3 dermatologists about treatment and ended up going with a specialist in DC with a study program u can participate in. These flare ups have little notice and are debilitating and sometime require a quick 1 min injection by an RN or DR. The treatment plan is fairly standard and there isn't much difference between patients who suffer this condition. My DC Dr said it should be no issue going to another, closer, Dermatologist for a quick injection if things get out of hand and I'm in pain. I called Dr Chaudhrys office and they were able to take me but unfortunately I had a family emergency in Florida and was due to fly out the next day. 2 weeks later I call back for another painful flare up and this time they refused to see me citing a combo "no availability to squeeze me in over the next few weeks" and "The Dr did not put you on the treatment plan." I absolutely loved this woman when I first met her. I felt like she understood my condition, the pain associated with it and how difficult it is to live with random flare ups because not many people do and it's hard to explain. But I was clearly mistaken. On the verge of tears on the call with the nurse, knowing the days to come are going to keep me holed up in my apartment because of the pain and the possible risk of cellulitis. Right after I hung up, I gave Renewal Dermatology a call and they are able to take me first thing tomorrow morning before they start seeing patients as they've done many times in the past. I stopped going here because I moved pretty far out from Reston but I appreciate that even though I was not put on a treatment plan from them, they understand, and are willing to do exactly what it is they are experts in regardless of if they are my primary or not. I'll never ever make another phone call to Stone Ridge Dermatology and Dr Chaudhry ever again in my life. read more

I wish there was an exceptional rating . I'm from the Winchester VA area. I had been going to a dermatologist in this area for 3 years and had a place on my face. The Dr. here kept saying "We will keep an eye on it" . After 3 years I decided to get a second opinion and came to see Dr. Chaudhry. I was with her for 5 minutes and she had scheduled me with a plastic surgeon. it was melanoma. 6 cuts in 6 months and it was finally gone. I think Dr Chaudhry is knowledgeable, compassionate, professional and I respect her. Shes an expert in her field and I would recommend her HIGHLY. Everyone was very professional, friendly, and courteous.They diagnosed the cancer and then recommended me for Mohs surgery and provided two different options for me. Unsure how they received 3.5/5 stars. Received a call that I had an appointment this morning due to an 'auto generated ' appointment. Stated I did not make this appt (because of previous visit), but was informed I confirmed appt last week. Assume I confirmed dermatologist appt I had with another provider the same day. Female employee said I will be charged $50 for a no show and hung up on me! Really!? Not only are they extremely unprofessional, they will attempt to claim removal of any skin issues as cosmetic and NOT covered under insurance. The odd thing is - I've had these same issues removed by dermatologists in Houston, Austin, Chantilly, Fairfax, S riding and more for over 25 years. It's all about the almighty dollar at Stone Ridge. Dr. Chaudhry is the best. She's kind, patient, and so thorough. At this practice you pay to see a board certified dermatologist for their expert opinion and that's exactly what you get. Her leadership really sets the tone for the rest of her staff. I don't know all of their titles but they are all courteous and professional. Her office is beautiful and spotless. Easy to get to and with ample parking. I've meet with Dr. Chaudhry 5 times in person and once during a virtual visit. My last visit included a skin biopsy I was very nervous about but she and her staff put me as ease. She even called me that evening to make sure I was comfortable. I've also taken both of my kids to be seen by her. She's also great with kids and really talks TO them. You can tell she really loves taking care of her patients and I appreciate that. read more

Dr. Chaudhry has the worst bedside manner of any physician I have ever seen. Every word she spoke to us seemed like she thought she belonged on a pedestal and was speaking down at us. I went with my wife for some issues she was having and I was in shock how she treated my wife AND I (was just there for support). She was rude, arrogant, and derisive when speaking to both of us. The entire time I was there I was amazed that we were going to actually have a bill from this arrogant "person" and the whole time we were wishing we were somewhere else." Condescending and Rude...Those words define this "person" to a tee!! Do not visit this practice! Any physician who is so narcissistic that she feels entitled to speak to any patient with such contempt and attitude, has no business treating anyone or staying in business!! Dr. Chaudhry has the worst bedside manner of any physician I have ever seen. I took my 14-year-old son to see her for persistent acne that we have not been able to improve, despite our best efforts. She was rude, arrogant, and derisive when speaking to my child, and blamed his acne on his own "lack of concern" for his skin. She actually said to him, "What would you expect if you didn't brush your teeth twice a day?" He said he felt humiliated and stated, "The entire time I was getting in trouble, I was wishing I was somewhere else." Do not visit this practice! Any physician who is so narcissistic that she feels entitled to speak to your child with contempt, has no business treating adults, let alone children. I took my 11 years old daughter to see Josette McMichael for acne. And it was the worst experience I ever had. She glanced at my daughter's face and gave a disgusted reaction. She looks at her back and shrugged again. That made me and my 11 years old super uncomfortable. I feel so bad that I brought my daughter into the office. We were rushed and when I asked about a question regarding possible flare up on her hands, I was told that I have to make another appointment for that as she can only look at her face. They don't bill the insurance first and insisted we pay because of high deductible. They are adamant and asked us to deal with insurance later. I requested them many times to bill the insurance first and they refuse to oblige. They insisted we need to pay before we leave the Dr. office. My son was a patient with Asmaa. He had a virtual appt a month ago and I left work (new job), went to his school like I have before and we did the appt in the car which I have also done before. I had to get back to work, I had to get my son lunch so since he was speaking with her on the phone, I drove to get him lunch, when she asked if I was driving, I said yes, she immediately became nasty and said we will reschedule. I responded and informed her that I would be pulling over in a moment and I was not the patient, he was. She then accused me of abusing her because I told her I could not stop in the middle of the road. I then told her I had pulled over and she continued to say she would not accept my abuse. I then said to her, lady, my son is your patient, as a single mom, I am trying to get back to work, get him lunch and do his appointment. I am also facing eviction and I am an emotional wreck so I apologize, she says, that is your problem not mine in front of my son-IDIOT! read more
