Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Another huge plus is that there is plenty of parking, which always makes the experience even better. The prices are excellent for the quality and portions you receive. I enjoyed it so much that I literally went back the very next day! Aaaaand back to where we started. Came in, ordered scallops fra diavolo and eggplant rollatini - and a couple drinks. Bartender appeared TOTALLY un-interested in actually...you know...bartending. I ordered a titos on the rocks with lime - got a titos and soda. Whatever, it happens, no big deal - making his own life harder by adding extra ingredients. Food arrives. Eggplant tastes like it was made a week ago - is more cheese than anything else - and the broccoli rabe...oy. I know it's bitter. I LIKE broccoli rabe that's bitter. This broccoli rabe tastes like it just had a conversation with it's ex wife that lasted 3 hours bitter. Awful. Scallop fra diavolo - I mean...it was alright I guess? Scallops had virtually no flavor. Sauce was alright but "fra diavolo" it was certainly not - no spice at all. I would have asked for red pepper, but again, bar tender was not terribly interested in following up. We've now given the place several tries. Don't order the steak - it's under quality and overpriced. Don't order the scallops or eggplant - they stink. The pizza - is a solid 4 on a scale of 1-10, but probably the best item on the menu. Pricing is ridiculous. For a place that was SO long in coming, they seem determined to be real quick in leaving. My wife and I came here on a Saturday evening around 6pm. We were seated right away, which was not surprising given that the restaurant was only about a third full for what would normally be a busy dinner hour. Whether that's a sign of slow business or just an off night, I'm not sure. She had the eggplant rollatini, which is stuffed with ricotta and served with broccoli rabe. She enjoyed everything about the eggplant except the mozzarella on top. That's not a reflection on the restaurant. My wife just doesn't like mozzarella on top of a lot of dishes (e.g., chicken parm). I went with the Tavern Burger (cheddar, bacon, red onion, horseradish sauce), cooked medium. It seemed more medium-well but was still juicy. The horseradish sauce was subtle. The fries were crisp. We ended with coffee for me and a cappuccino for my wife. Our waitress was very friendly and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time - not too soon and not an obnoxious wait time. My wife's cappuccino though did take longer than expected. I had finished my coffee before her cappuccino arrived. My coffee came in a glass mug whereas her cappuccino came in a metal mug which held the heat. The menu has a lot of range -- wood-fired steaks, Italian specialties, pizza, pasta, burgers -- so there's something for everyone. Prices are reasonable for a sit-down dinner. The layout is different than the last time we were in the building 17 years prior when it was Houlihan's. The bar had been moved from the left side of the building to the right side which is where everyone was seated. They have a long bench style seat along the north-side of the building with regular chairs everywhere else. They had several sports games on the TVs that surronded the space, including the Kentucky Derby and the Somerset Patriots game on YES. read more

Came here yesterday for dinner. Lots of parking in the lot. Inside very clean and modern. Good amount of tables and an area for private space if you want to have a party, large bar area. Our server Gabriella was very nice. Owner Steve was also very nice and friendly. He recommended the cheesesteak and normally I wouldn't order it- but I said let's give it a shot. It was the best one I've ever had. Nice pieces of filet tips- cheese,onions, and peppers with a garlic bread. Fantastic! It was the star of the show. Loved the coconut shrimp appetizer, we really liked the sesame cauliflower because they weren't fried. And we liked our pepperoni pizza with ricotta and hot honey. Went at a perfect time to eat and watch the soccer game. Our server Brielle was amazing. Attentive friendly and great service. The food was amazing. I could not complain from the appetizer to main dish. Food temp is everything. Everything came out hot from the calamari to the steak and lamb chops. Cesear salad was perfect. Jist the right amount of dressing and croutons. The terimissu was fantastic. Im very particular about that. But the flavor and texture was spot on. This is 3 great experiences at the Stone Tavern. My bad, no pics, sorry. St. Patrick's day I must ha at least one Guinness. The local pubs are wildly packed and Stone Tavern pours a lovely pint. The server was great. We picked the table I could see the entire bar and several televisions. Back against the front windows. Best seat, I think. Had ribs on the brain but needed to eat a little more healthy. A Guinness. Small Caesar salad. Salmon - excellent, served with the Stuffed Mushrooms appetizer. And a 2nd Guinness. The meal was amazing, felt healthy, flavors were dancing. My downfall was the Carrot cake & coffee. Get the carrot cake but split it with your table. My sugar levels shot to Mars. Definitely a once and done kind of place. We were excited to try it, despite the fact that there are other great taverns and similar restaurants in the area. Server was great, but the food was really middle of the road. The wings were deep-fried almost to the point of incineration, the meat was really dry, and they had very little taste. The coconut shrimp was bland, but the dipping sauce was very good. And the burger was not exceptional, just OK. I'm glad we tried it, but don't think we'll be back. read more

Was excited to try a new restaurant for my husband's birthday... We visited on a Thursday evening and it was pretty busy. It's a casual atmosphere with a nice bar and plenty of tables. We were in the process of getting seated by the manager who then stopped seating us to seat someone else who walked up with more people. After he returned, he sat us in the corner (likely never told a server) and we waited over 20 minutes before anyone came by to our table as if we were forgotten about. The kitchen butchered our order numerous times from cook temps to forgotten items. I will say the food itself was really delicious and I appreciate all of the clearly marked gluten free options. Our server, Christina, truly saved the entire evening!! She was the only one who noticed us and immediately took care of us. Despite none of the mishaps being her fault, she still went above and beyond to change the narrative of our evening. She's super personable, kindly confirmed menu ingredients due to some dietary restrictions, and even brought out a lovely birthday dessert for my husband. They have a pretty extensive menu, similar to a Tommy's Tavern & Tap. I didn't really enjoy my dry rubbed ribs, which really emphasized the 'dry' aspect. The pizza was mediocre as well. That said id, I did come here within the first few months after opening; so I imagine they have some things to work out. I hope they get better. read more

First time here and I ordered chicken parmesan with spaghetti and a Stacy mom beer. The chicken Parmesan was good the chicken wasn't under or overcooked which is something that happens a lot to me when ordering the dish. The sauce was a bit too watery for me but it wasn't a deal breaker. The service was ok I had to flag down the waiter a few times and the place wasn't busy at all. The music they were playing had heavy base and it was sorter hard to talk. Overall it's not a bad place but it's not doing anything different compared to every other restaurant on that strip of route 22. So it's pretty much if I'm driving on rt22 and it's the first restaurant I see I might pull in but if I miss it there's four more down the route doing the same thing. read more

We tried appetizers and they were not appetizing at all. We tried Chicken Fingers, Yuca Bites, Coconut Shrimp and an Onion Soup. The only half decent item was the Onion soup. If this spot is trying to compete with Tommy's Tavern, it's not lasting long at all. They have to figure something out. The tables next to me, looks like they weren't enjoying their dinners also. Stone Tavern is new in Bridgewater and we were looking forward to eating here. It did not disappoint us. The place is loud but in a good way. Plenty of families and friends catching up. We were seated right away and the waitress stopped by a little later for our order. We started with Yucca Fritte and Shrimp in Garlic sauce (Portuguese style). The yucca fritte were delicious, i just wished they didn't have cheese inside (my personal preference) but really good otherwise; they come on a bed of greens and mojo sauce to dip. The shrimp in garlic sauce tasted as if you were eating at a Spanish restaurant, so good!!! The shrimp comes with bread on the side to dip in the yummy garlic sauce. For entrees we chose a hamburger and cheesesteak sandwich. The hubs said it was the best hamburger he had eaten in a very long time. I had the cheesesteak and it was very good, it had sirloin tips, onions and peppers. Both entrees come with steak fries. Looking forward in returning with the kids. read more

We came on a Sunday afternoon. Based on previous reviews, I knew it would be loud so I asked for a quieter table and they brought us to the side room. We were seated immediately, and our server came over right away and took our orders. The food came out very quickly. We ordered The Burger and The Stone Salad. The fries came out hot and the burger was delicious, done just the way I asked. The salad was large and tasty as well. They seem to have gotten some of the kinks out from being a new restaurant. The food is wonderful! The ambiance is pub perfect! The service is ok, it's a pub,it's not a five star restaurant! We had a cheese burger, which was absolutely perfect with melted cheese, not a lump sitting on top of the burger! With the perfect amount of tomato, lettuce and onion. And the burger flavor was absolutely delicious and done exactly as requested! We ordered it with onion rings and there were plenty of them and they were fantastic and were served with the classic dipping sauce! We also had a grilled chicken Caesar Salad. The chicken was actually grilled (as it so often is not) with that grilled flavor. And the Caesar dressing was great. This is a minimum 4.5 star pub style restaurant. French Onion soup was AMAZING (my favorite), the steaks were DELICIOUS (our family ordered different ones and we tried each others, they were all AMAZING and very juicy. The pretzels were OK but the cheese sauces that came along with it were cold. - the arugula pizza "thin crust" was like one big round crunchy nacho with a bag of arugula dumped on top of it. Obviously we were seated quickly in the big bar room. No ambience at all. One big room with a bunch of tables. Did someone design this space? The room felt like a warehouse with a bar. The highlight was the food. Burgers and a cheesesteak were very good and served exactly was asked. Hot fresh fries! The food was better than the room. Maybe on a busy night it would seem better. I'm so excited Stone Tavern is finally open! My friend and I went here on a whim and are so glad we did. We sat at the bar and Jami was our primary bartender. She is super friendly and attentive and made fantastic drinks! We weren't sure what to get to start, and she recommended an espresso martini. She said she made a great one and she was so right! She added a hint of chocolate bitters to go with the freshly brewed espresso. It was excellent! I then had the blackberry bourbon smash next-sooo delish!! We shared the arugula salad and Tuscany flatbread for food. We loved them both. Everything was fresh and perfectly paired together. We also saw someone order the nachos and thin crust Margherita pizza - they looked really good! I also heard someone say the vodka flatbread with mushrooms was excellent. I am an Octopus guy and I always try the meatballs when they have them as part of the appetizer it sorta tells me a lot about the care for food. Both were awesome and then steak was great. And of course the service was great. Carlos made sure I was taken care of by myself and my laptop. Very cool guy and very friendly. Go Carlos. He also makes the most awesome drinks. My date and I went to the Stone Tavern on 12/20/25 for dinner Our disappointment was palpable. We started with the Calamari Appetizer. The cost was $16. We counted 16 rings on the plate. A dollar a ring is outrageously expensive. For Dinner I had the ribs and my date had the linguine with blackened chicken. The ribs were served with a rub and had supposed BBQ sauce on the side. The sauce was ketchup with no flavors of any BBQ sauce I have ever eaten. They gave me a new BBQ sauce but again, ketchup. The linguine was overpowered with fresh garlic. I am Italian and am used to my garlic but the dish was inedible. The cost with a tip was $110.00. Overpriced and not the quality of food we expected to be served. Service was fine. Table layout had 2 other tables within earshot of our quiet conversation. This place is a BIG NO! My hard earned money went to waste, especially difficult during the holiday season. Ribs were good and tender, burger was good and cooked as ordered (medium rare). Veal parm was tough, the side of pasta was not good. I expected better from a restaurant that said it had an Italian menu. There was an extensive wine list but the beer menu should be written down and not just shown on a flashing sign too far away to see. read more
