As much as they have good interiors , they packed all crowd in the same large room even though there was so much space in the other area and hence the ambience was very average . Too noisy too. Service was top notch .. lots of parking available . Location wise it was super good . I just love the food here . Eggplant parm was top notch . Quantity was so much .2 persons can easily eat one plate of eggplant parm. Loved the cheese garlic bread . It was different . Their marinara sauce is the best ! Salad was also tooooooooooooo good ! Loved the flavor and aroma ! Cheese ziti was mid . It was ok .. they brought a small bday cookie with a candle and it was super awesome to see the service . We came to Maggiano's Little Italy in Bridgewater to celebrate a birthday with a group of about 15-20 people. We called ahead, and the restaurant gave us a quote and helped us set up a prix fixe family-style menu with several options for each course, which made everything easy for a large group. The service was excellent, especially considering the size of our party. The food came out smoothly, and the staff was attentive throughout the meal. On to the food - The bread was incredible warm, soft, and so good that I ended up taking some home. Food highlights: - The calamari was crispy, tender, and one of the best appetizers we had. - The salmon was another winner. - The chicken parmesan was soft, steak, and other entrees were all solid and everyone at the table seemed happy with their meals. The biggest surprise was dessert. I expected the tiramisu to be my favorite, and it was very good, but the standout was the warm apple crostata (apple dessert) served with vanilla ice cream. I totally ate more of that than i should. It was absolutely delicious and ended up being my favorite dessert of the night. I went specifically for the chicken Parmesan, however I was stuffed by the time it came because the bread was so filling and for an appetizer I ordered the calamari. My overall bill with taxes and tip was approximately $65. I would definitely go again and try another dish. I was there at 11:30 in the morning just when they open for lunch so the ambience was very quiet and calm. It wasn't too many people at the restaurant. read more

The place is beautiful and love tge old classic music. Its a great place for groups or a romantic date night. The server Hilary was very patient and friendly. She gave great service. But ut still tasted well. She did say tgat had a special meme for tgat time for select appetizers. We ordered tge calamari. The breading was nice and light and it tasted very good. I have been to a few Italian places in my time and sayy they are a bit pricey for what was ordered. I have no issue paying alot for good food but it was nothing that blew my mind. This was our first time back in many years and for the most part, we were happy. The restaurant is currently decorated nicely for the holiday season and they were occasionally playing some festive music as well (although it would play for a little...and then stop). We were seated quickly with a reservation and had no issues with that. Once we got seated we started talking about how they used to bring out bread, and noticed no other tables had bread. Because of this we assumed that they stopped bringing our bread, but after reading the reviews it seems like we got jipped! For appetizers we got the zucchini fritte. These are still delicious and we loved them! They are so yummy and one of our favorite appetizers here. While the price for them has nearly doubled, they are still worth it. For entrees we got the vodka rigatoni, eggplant parm, mushroom ravioli, and rigatoni D. What is nice about the rigatoni D is that they can make it without chicken. Our waiter asked us if I wanted to add veggies to the vodka rigatoni, but failed to mention that there is an additional charge for that. We were surprised by that in the bill and it would have been nice to know that before hand. For all of the pastas the portion was huge! We had tons of leftovers. The eggplant parm was delicious and we were glad to see it back. The rigatoni D was also delicious. The mushroom ravioli was pretty good, but the vodka rigatoni was a little disappointing. It tasted less like vodka sauce and more like a marinara sauce with a hint of vodka sauce. I would not get that pasta again, but the rest I would. For dessert we got the tiramisu, and as it was my parents anniversary, a little dessert was brought out for them too. The tiramisu was delicious and the little lemon cookies were a nice treat. My only other complaint is that the service itself was ok. This place is huge and caters to all kinds of birthday parties, business parties/meetings and just regular dining. Besides the main dining room, there are four or five individual rooms holding five or more tables Gregory our server was very experienced of 8 years. He might be the only server that I have met that has a PhD. There were 12 people in our birthday party. It's hard to say who had what and how was their experience, though it appeared that everyone fared well. The appetizers were abundant and good. My branzino was excellent with roasted asparagus and mashed potatoes. I felt the fish portion could have been larger for the price. The individual rooms were nicely decorated. I came here yesterday at the behest of my old friend, who I haven't really seen in a while (we used to get together once a week to dine out; my birth mother used to laughingly refer to it as our "date night"). Burdened by a multitude of personal problems, as well as a belatedly budding "acting career," (he's actually got talent, in my humble opinion, but after shaving his head and beard for a role in an independent film, his son told him he looked like Mr. Potato Head, and 1 unkind soul referred to him as looking "like a testicle with eyes." I'm not putting my friend down; he was the 1 who told me about it, and he was laughing out loud as he did), my friend wanted to unburden himself to someone sympathetic to his plight (although you would think the acting career would be more an enjoyable hobby than a stress-inducing plight). I would have preferred staying home and going to bed early, but because I'm a friend, and a long-suffering and good-hearted one at that, I agreed to accompany him to a restaurant, and we (he) decided on Maggiano's. It was Black Friday, and the parking lot at the Bridgewater Commons was crowded to such a maddening degree that, had I been driving, I might have given in full bore to an embarrassingly hysterical melt-down. Thankfully, I wasn't driving, and the Black Friday shoppers were spared that pitiful spectacle. My friend, in spite of his troubled mood, calmly found the 1 remaining spot, parked, and we ventured inside, the cold night air whipping around us. It's a big, big place, with very low lighting. So low, in fact, that I nearly, with my cataract-compromised eyesight, tripped over a slight rise in the dark-wood floor as we were escorted to our table against the wall. Thankfully, I didn't trip. The shoppers outside were spared an embarrassingly hysterical meltdown, and the diners inside were spared having to witness me crashing face first into the table, or onto the floor, and wailing away like a wounded wildebeest. We calmly sat and were presented with large menus. As anyone who has read 1 of my many reviews of Italian restaurants perhaps knows, I usually order lasagna with pasta fagioli when I'm unfamiliar with the restaurant in question. In this case, soup...of any kind...is no longer on the menu. In any event (maybe because of a brutal morning migraine I had had and the heavy-duty medication I had taken to combat it), I was feeling in the mood for something different and decided on the spaghetti with meat sauce and a Wagyu beef meatball. I had no idea what a Wagyu beef meatball is and had to look it up later on-line; evidently, it's a meatball made, according to what I read, from a "Japanese cow." (Which reminds me...here I go wandering off-topic again...of when I backpacked across Europe with my oldest friend a million years ago. He had relatives in Italy, and in Naples, his younger cousin...Stefano...spoke some English, and so was enlisted to act as our guide. As Stefano escorted us through the area near the red-light district, he pointed hesitantly towards the "working girls," and said, "Those are...uh...how you say...Italian cows." My friend answered, "You mean putanas?" Stefano, delighted that my friend knew even 1 word of Italian, beamed and replied, "Yeah, yeah...putana!" Anyway...) My friend ordered linguini with white clam sauce. He ordered a water (without lemon); I ordered a Coke. We were served hot bread with the meals. I haven't had spaghetti of any kind in a while, and I really enjoyed it, although I probably should have ordered it with marinara sauce instead of the meat sauce that I did order. Between that Putana Meatball...sorry, I mean between that Wagyu Meatball and the meat sauce itself, it was a very heavy meal, but I'd have to admit I enjoyed it thoroughly, even without the soup (which, realistically, I hardly needed). My friend seemed to enjoy his meal as well and was able to get some of his issues off his chest, although all I could do really was lend a sympathetic ear, and give him leeway to vent. Hopefully, that proved at least somewhat helpful. Service was friendly and accommodating. Prices here are far from cheap, but you do get a lot of food for what you pay for. I could see some unkind souls calling this place a "glorified Olive Garden," but I liked what I had, and I'd be willing to eat here again. Even without the pasta fagioli. We both passed on the dessert. And alcoholic drinks are available, if 1 is inclined to order in that direction. Constructive criticism? Turn up the lights a little. read more

We were here for a baptism luncheon on a Sunday. Standard ambiance to all the others. Wait staff was super nice. The apps for the table were the crab cakes, fried zucchini and a salad. The crab cakes were good but very salty. The zucchini was the best thing I ate all day and the dipping sauce was good too. For dinner we had chicken parm, steak medallions and blackened salmon. I'm pretty sure the salmon and crab cakes had the same salty seasoning. They were both good but it was too much and overpowering. The steak was very rare so I didn't eat it. We had 4:00 reservations for a party of 25 it was a 90th birthday celeberation and did not get seated until 5:05. When the food came everything was cold. Then we were rushed because the next reservation was waiting for our table. This is my second time at this location and I will not be back. We placed an order, online, we arrived on-time to retrieve our order, and we parked in one of the spots designated for pickup. Via the app, we notified the staff of our arrival. No response. Ten minutes later, when nobody had come out with our order, we used the app again to notify them that we were there. Again... nothing. So, after another 10 minutes, we entered the restaurant, and the staff member who "assisted" us looked--in vain--for our order. Finally, he emerged from the kitchen and handed the bag to us, with no explanation or apology. In total, it took 35 minutes after our on-time arrival for us to receive our order. Needless to say, our food was ice-cold when we arrived home with it. A couple of days later, I got an email asking me to rate my recent experience. I replied--in detail--with the facts related above. What response did I get? ZERO response! No explanation, no apology, no offer to give us a... let's say... $5 discount on our next meal. Nothing, nada, in response to our polite recitation of their very poor service. It is doubtful that I will return to Maggiano's, and my two word review is... NOT impressed! read more

So I attended Juliet's 70th Birthday celebration in this place today. Probably experienced one of the worse table servers I have ever encountered in my life. This lady was just grumpy the whole event. Did not crack one smile, just a scowl on her face. You say thank you, no response back. Heaven forbid you ask for something. One of the girls in our table made the mistake of asking for raspberry iced tea - NO ONLY REGULAR!!! She was so rude, she was borderline throwing food and utensils on the table. My favorite Italian Chain restaurant. The food is always good and the service is spot on, even when it gets crowded and busy. The motiff is your typical Italian family restaurant. OK, so the wedding bridal shower was absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious. Delicious delicious delicious delicious the starter items for appetizers were crabcakes. The bread with tomato on top and we had the Maggiano salad with the blue she's minus the smoked bacon now I'm not even a eater of blue cheese, but I ate the blue cheese on the salad and it was absolutely delicious so I will be ordering this in the near future. The crab cakes were absolutely delicious for the second course she had salmon with shrimp and the stuffed shells with beef and she had a delicious chicken Marcella absolutely out of this world chicken so tender seems like it's been marinated for days. Maggiano's has always been one of my favorite restaurant, but this particular location was absolutely phenomenal. They even gave us to go bags now for the dessert. She had like a apple turnover type of caramel thingy with ice cream, and it was phenomenal. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone in the whole wide world and when you go there and make sure you go see Lily because I love Lily and Lily was good to me and Lily is one of the reasons why I will be back to this restaurant plus the phenomenal food. Everything was A1 top-tier service if you're looking for a place to throw up gathering any type of event, I would suggest this particular Maggiano's in Bridgewater. First time back after over 14 years and not much has changed. They still bring out bread and pour some oil on a plate for dipping. I still don't understand why they don't leave the bottle of oil or why they sprinkle parmesan cheese into the oil. I had the chicken piccata which came with spaghetti aglio e olio (garlic and oil). It was delicious though I would've preferred linguine instead of spaghetti. Our waitress was very friendly. It took 2.5 hours for our meal (no appetizer but did have dessert afterwards). It was appropriately noisy considering it was half full for a Sunday afternoon. In the end, Maggiano's is a safe bet if you're visiting an area and in the mood for Italian, but don't know about any other restaurants nearby. I still consider it only slightly above Olive Garden, and maybe on the same level as Carraba's (only been to one once about 10 years ago). Around the Bridgewater area, there are much better options for Italian - Jozanna's (Middlesex), Girasole (Bound Brook), Espo's (Raritan). read more

I came here for the first time for my birthday. It was PACKED! I highly suggest a reservation which, luckily, I made. They have a huge space for dining and it was really nice in there. They brought out bread and oil for starters which was super fresh. I mean straight out of the oven fresh! For our entrees, my husband had the 'Shrimp Fra Diavolo" which was Pan-Seared Shrimp, Garlic, Diavolo Cream Sauce with Linguine. He loved it and was very happy with his choice. I got the 'Parmesan-Crusted Cod with Calabrian Honey' which was Spinach, Stewed Tomatoes, Calabrian Honey Glaze, Angel Hair. This was absolutely delicious. The honey glaze was sweet and honestly.. never had Cod before but I really enjoyed it. We also had dessert. My husband got the 'Butter Cake' which he loved and also came with whip cream which was super thick, it almost looked like ice cream and it was definitely homemade. I had the Tiramisu. The tiramisu was super soft with a lot of coffee flavor. I did bring a coupon with me for $10 off for my birthday. The waitress saw the coupon and brought out a candle with 3 lemon cookies. The calamari were not as good as I remember because of the breading. There was too much of it this time. The stuffed mushrooms were good. They were big with a suitable amount of stuffing present. The flatbread was also tasty. There was a slight crunch with plenty of cheese and tomatoes. It appeared very light too. For an entrée, I had the Italian tossed salad with grilled chicken. It came with kalamata olives, red onions, tomatoes, pepperoncini, garlic croutons, and an Italian vinaigrette. This was okay. The vinaigrette was too oily without not enough seasoning I thought. My wife and I went to Maggiano's last night for a drink and dinner, we sat at the bar ordered our drinks with the bartender my wife ordered a juice and I ordered a mixed drink. We waited 15 min and still never got our drinks. The bartender was in the service station the entire time after taking our order. We were the only people sitting at the bar and he had 1 table. I had the best birthday dinner thanks to my Server's Manny and Greg. They were both very attentive and provided excellent customer service. They paid very close attention to details and made adjustments whenever deemed necessary. The food was great! Better than I remembered. They also made me a birthday hat and even sang for me. (Nice touch) For each time I return to Maggiano's I will only request Manny and/or Greg. Manny's personality is a stellar fit to what it means to work with people and in this case, at a restaurant.
