The space is so beautiful and the people are so incredibly welcoming, students of all ages, bodies, and backgrounds come there and everyone is welcome! There is no judgement from anyone there, so even as a beginner I always felt safe. The space is always clean and the skylights in the studio space are so unique and beautiful! I've taken classes with a few teachers and they've all been great, but my personal favorite is Andrea so I will speak more so about her classes. I take Andrea's morning classes on Tuesdays and Fridays and I always have the BEST time! She is so knowledgeable and such a talented teacher, you can tell she really loves the practice of yoga. Andrea is thorough, patient, kind, and makes class both challenging and super fun! No matter if you're a beginner or more advanced, she is the teacher for you. She knows how to make adjustments and modifications for every pose based on your skill level, so everyone can thrive even if there's many different student levels in the same class. She's so uplifting and encouraging to everyone, it's definitely always the type of class that you always leave feeling great about. 10/10 I recommend grassroots. Roberta's Hot 26 classes are challenging but very supportive; I adore her, and I'm completely addicted. MaryRose will make every muscle in your body burn, and you'll feel like a superhero when you survive her class. Tara is the velvet hammer, and Marilyn does a great job of explaining the poses. (I'd recommend Marilyn's class if you're new to hot yoga, although she also challenges experienced yogis.) Mary plays the best music; if you want to jam out during your asana practice, go to her Friday night class. I honestly couldn't love this place more. I have nothing negative to say. Show up early to get a parking spot, because classes are often packed, for good reason.

We arrived exactly as brunch was being served, and within minutes we were being ushered into a circle of hand-holding, chanting practitioners saying blessings over the food. My daughter looked like she might run for the hills, but we opened our minds and found a truly meditative and even enlightening environment tucked away in a quiet corner of the Catskills. For the uninitiated, some tips: --we brought some healthy snacks, like fruit and nuts, and they were very welcome in between the two meals served --beware: after about 8 minutes, sitting crosslegged on the floor with a cushion under your behind becomes its own special form of torture; consider a seat on the bench along the wall, or prepare for your mind, body and spirit to be consumed by the pain you are in --while many different and delicious varieties of tea are served throughout the day, there is no coffee provided; if you need your morning caffeine to prevent a headache, best to bring instant and a mug - there is a hot water pot provided in the room --don't pack anything other than your most comfortable sweatpants, yoga pants, cozy socks, etc. - even jeans look out of place here --prepare to feel a little self-conscious as you try something new, and to be rewarded for it!
