It felt like a venue from Tuscany. You can tell they take pride in their landscaping as it's beautiful all the way around from front to back. Greenery everywhere, flowers, water running-everything you'd want for a wedding. They have two places where your ceremony can take place-outside back by the forested area or in the courtyard. Both beautiful areas but the wooded area was a DREAM. The sun shining through the trees and the long pathway down to the altar made it stunning. There was plenty of seating for everyone too. We did use the courtyard for cocktail hour, and it was such a good space for chatting, relaxing, and photos!! The inside was also Beauuutiful! A very large room surrounded by big glass windows. They set everything up for us and made each table look so elegant and beautiful. The staff did a wonderful job. The bride's suite was also Unreal!!! The most gorgeous getting ready space with plenty of mirrors and outlets. It has your own personal bathroom, kitchen area, and lounging area. It made the day even that more special! The groom's suite was smaller but still nice with a nice TV as well. Our experience with staff was also great from start to finish as well. Overall, this space is absolutely incredible. Pam and Scott are excellent hosts and will make your stay enjoyable. The Inn is a historic building and as such has a lot of charm, the grounds are well kept with the back of the property bordering the Paluxy river. Also at the back of the property overlooking the Paluxy is Snyder's Tavern where lunch, dinner and drinks are served. In the morning you'll get to enjoy breakfast in the dining room which is included in the cost of your stay. One thing to note is that the rooms do not feature TV's which was not a big deal to us. A comfortable bed and private bathroom should be mentioned. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

You can tell a lot of care went into making it both beautiful and livable. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the setting. Waking up to open fields, wildflowers, and animals nearby, and then winding down under a sky full of stars--it felt peaceful in a way that's hard to find. It was the kind of place that gently pushes you out of your comfort zone in a safe and meaningful way, and those are the experiences that stick. There were also a few thoughtful touches and moments during our stay that made it feel even more special and memorable. It created some true core memories for my kids--those little unexpected experiences that you don't forget. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and took extra time to make sure we were comfortable. You can feel how much they care about the space, the animals, and the people who visit. The carriage house we stayed in wasn't as clean as the pictures on the site when you book it. Seems a little more run down. The inside is fine, obviously small but has amenities you need. The grill they have was very rusted and in my opinion not safe at all. If you have it on your site to have to use then maybe one that isn't rusted through and spill's charcoal all over the ground. This house also is in the hub of the area with animals and the food barn- we had a number of people try to open the door so I wish they had a sign on the front stoop stating it's a cabin! My other issue is with this cabin that isn't told is that a worker or people on the property will open the side (right side pictured) and there is laundry I assume or something they use as storage- it was NOT ok on a Saturday when we are sleeping for someone to start going in there and banging around at 6:30 in the morning!! Like come on! It should've been an appropriate time after 8 or at least a text from them letting us know! Woke my kiddo up and you can hear everything since the house is old! Overall the experience was fine but definitely wish they would be more honest on pictures and site. The other properties on the grounds look more well kept so maybe we would try those.

We totally lucked out and felt like we won the Lottery when we walked in. The proprietor met us on the little road heading down (while she was feeding the chickens, with a longhorn standing ominously behind her). Then - a huge fireplace with burning logs to welcome us in. We arrived late afternoon and just took a brief walk around the grounds on a few of the many trails. The Prayer chapel has a custom made cross with a stained glass dragonfly. The serenity of the scenic landscape is really something. This would be a perfect getaway for a group or spiritual retreat. Truly an amazing feeling - like you've just come home! Can't wait to return when the seasons change.

We got so lucky to have a bunch of rain before our stay and the kids played in the creek all weekend, chasing frogs and crayfish. Waterfall was incredible. Cabin was super clean, with great amenities we didn't expect - just perfect. The owners were over the top sweet and even texted us pics of the kids playing in the creek. Of course we did the Fossil Rim trip and Dinosaur Valley stop while we were here. We will 100% make this an annual visit.
