Remodeling my small oceanside Condominium, it was time for granite. I prefer to seek out small family owned local businesses whenever I look to hire a service. Family Rocks showed great promise with their reviews and website. I called and was told to pop into the shop anytime. I arrived during normal Business hours, and entered an empty office and show room. Empty as in no one there. I could hear activity in the back, Power tools etc. I poked my face through the "employees only" door, and observed several gentlemen clouded in white dust working away on various granite pieces. I decided to go outside and enter the shop from the rear which was wide open. I got a gentleman's attention, I felt bad for interrupting his work, he asked if he could help. I said I was looking for granite installation for a small condo kitchen, with a level one granite. He walked over to the small farm of granite slabs and asked me to pick one out. He was super polite but I could tell I was distracting him from work, so I didn't want to leisurely take my time snooping around each granite slab. Therefore I asked him to show me the level one granite section which he did, and I picked out the darkest, most neutral slab I saw. It was agreed to flip him my kitchen photos and measurements and they would call to send someone out to measure. Got the call, a nice gentleman came out and took measurements, said it would be a week or so, call the office to schedule installation. Called the office and schedule installation around a week out, cool. Day before installation day I was called and notified I would be pushed back several more days due to a job they had to go back and finish. They said it was a very large job and it ran over a bit because of being a little shorthanded and ran into some unexpected issues. Bummer, I worked hard by myself to power out the old countertops and get them ready to be hauled away, undo the plumbing and move the appliances, and provide a clean working area for them when they arrived. The old hurry up and wait. So, no kitchen appliances or running water until they show up. Had to do a lot of eating out, well in the car because many places we're still not open to indoor dining. Meanwhile I called to make sure we understood how many holes would be drilled for plumbing, what kind of sink came with the countertop and the dimensions. I never received a briefing on any of the "process, or inclusions" so if you are new at this make sure you ask plenty of questions if they don't offer to explain how the entire process works. When they arrived, I observed a friendly crew of young man who worked together like a well oiled machine, installing the heavy granite Via one flight of stairs. They cut the hole for the faucet outside, and polished the granite once it was in place. I tipped them and off they went. I love the granite. About 1800 bucks when all said and done, $300 more if I had not removed the countertops myself and hauled the way. You can see the video of the process on my YouTube channel 'Gene's Therapy'. After a Coastal rep came out and gave me an estimate, I added on resurfacing of the top of my vanity as well. Everyone from the business was friendly and professional. Will, my technician, was respectful, answered all my many questions, and sought my input when there were choices. His many years of experience in this field were evident in the finished product. The quality of his work exceeded my expectations. It was completed today, so I can't comment on how it will wear over time, but Will asked me to call if I had any issues. I complimented Will on his good work ethic and asked what motivated him. He said that he worked for a really good boss, and didn't want to disappoint him. The owner and office staff were very nice , until I had a problem…read more The person who came to resurface my bathtub did not use any sort of air ventilation during the whole process until the very end they used some sort of contraption for like 20 minutes to ventilate the chemicals outside. My special-needs son was there and my cat was there. They never said anything about you us leaving the house for a while or anything like that. They never gave me any instructions on what to do before, during or after the process and they did not leave any sort of instructions on what to expect. I walked in the door at 8:30pm at night and got blasted with this extreme chemical smell which I had a huge reaction to. I called them the next day and they said oh it should be gone in 24 hours. No it was not gone. I had to open up my whole house go buy some air purifiers and fans and still a week later I had horrible chemical fumes. I had a quality air guy come in and test the air and do an air scrub on it and I also had to go rent an air scrubber machine at Home Depot to try and get the fumes out of my house, now it's two weeks after and I still have the fumes in my house that he says are not toxic in any way , I requested SDS sheets that are required by law and they have yet to get them to me and now they are not responding. If you are sensitive to chemicals in any way, do not get this process done without getting all the chemical information before they do it! Lesson learned with a lot of pain!

I sent this email almost a week ago and did not receive a response. I'm not thrilled that I paid $5,334.00 and have a drive way with an ugly patch. THE LETTER Dear AMVet, I am extremely disappointed with your driveway coating service. The finish on my driveway does not resemble any of the coated driveways I personally inspected at your previous customers' homes. The coating was applied on June 11, 2025. When it didn't look right initially, you returned and reapplied another coat in a few areas. Then, on January 21, 2026, you came back to repair a fine crack, but the repair left a visible patch across my driveway. Now, just a few months later in April, another fine line is already appearing in another area. I am not requesting another repair, as my driveway is beginning to look like a patchwork quilt. I was told the first repair was free, but any future repairs would cost $170 each. This is not right. It hasn't even been a full year since the original application, and these issues should not be occurring. You should have known that my driveway would not hold up well to your coating. I can only assume you were aware of this and chose to proceed anyway. I would appreciate a serious response to this matter.

They did a truly spectacular job and the work looked great. This June (2026), we noticed that 2x 2' sections of the concrete facia pulled away from the wall and fell to the ground. At first I was thinking that this was the result of poor work from 2022. I called Jim at Quality Stucco and he came out to take a look. As it turns out, the work his team performed in 2022 was NOT the problem. The underlying concrete blocks on the surface of the cinderblock wall was not attached well by the original builder allowing the fasteners to rust through causing the concrete blocks to fall. I looked and he was correct. Not the fault of the 2022 work. To my surprise, Jim offered to rebuild the facia section at no charge. I was very surprised and grateful. The new facia installed by Quality Stucco is perfect and hung correctly. I will sing the praises of Jim and his crew to anyone who will listen. These guys are fair, honest and reasonably priced.
