So I ended up moving due to health reasons but wanted to update my experiences because after the initial issue I had with staff who's no longer working I really loved living here. I moved because I needed to be closer to family, doctors and downsize a little bit. Aaron assisted me with the process and made it so easy. I was so stressed out and was nervous I would be penalized. We communicated through the process and it was actually quite painless which is very much appreciated. While I never really had problems with my appliances or home features if anything arose maintenance was there in no time to help. One time I couldn't pull the cover off the lighting in the laundry so he came and changed the light for me. This community is very quiet, clean and as long as you communicate with staff they're happy to accommodate you if you're facing one of these many difficulties in life. Cars get broken into, loud trashy tenants, dog shit everywhere. Brenda sent me the wrong lease renewal (supposed to be month to month) she sent me a year lease and I signed it thinking it was month to month. I immediately notified them of the error because I have been actively looking for a home for the past year and needed to be month to month. I ended up moving out and they won't make an addendum to my lease renewal. Now they are charging me for breaking the lease and up to $36,000 for the year or until they fill the apartment. They never answer phones or emails and that number for costumer service they keep giving on these reviews... they are just as bad as the office staff. AND my AC went out in July and took a week to repair, Stephanie told me I'd get a temp AC unit in. That never happened. Good Job Stone creek staff. read more

Living at Stonecreek Apartments for almost 5 years now and my wife and I just love it here. The surroundings are well taken care of and the leasing office is always available to help. Our water heater and shower needed some attention and Aaron helped me out. The next day the plumber arrived and I had my water heater changed out and shower working properly. Not only is Stone Creek the best location in Valencia, but also offering beautiful well kept landscaping and the amenities, pool gym, etc., are always clean and well kept. I was so impressed by his professionalism, from the moment I first contacted him to the final follow-up. They raise the rent every year 100 200 $300 which is way too much for this shit hole. The only people that like it here are the critters in the bushes. Perfect spot for an apartment in the heart of Valencia. It feels more like a home and you have neighborhoods around you with families and people walking their dogs. The paseos are a rock throw away and the shopping center across the street has every amenity. The maintenance guy Jared promptly takes care of any work requests put into the portal. He always resolves the problem and is happy to help. I have been very satisfied the first year living here. read more

Moved in about a month ago and so far no issues, except my washing machine quit working Tuesday night but I emailed Stephanie and by 9:00am Wednesday someone had come to look at it and by 4:00 it was replaced with a brand new one! Also spoke to Stephanie about doing some power washing of the sidewalks and walk ways she said she would get right on that. Have a unit facing McBean- yes the Traffic is loud but the neighbors are great. Location location location! I walk every day on the many many paseos. I also walk across the street to Ralph's or CVS at least 4 times a week. Parking isn't the greatest but it was the same way owning a house lol read more

Why pay extra when you can move down the street with nicer amenities that actually work in the gym, bbq been broken for 4 years that we lived here what a joke. Dealing with the office is a nightmare and they need to get it together. Never received my renewal for my lease and kept playing phone tag for 3-4 weeks trying to resolve the issue. You'd think it's an easy job but must be rocket science to take care of residents and call them back. Urgent *DONT RENT HERE* I stayed here for a few months and had to break my lease due to certain conditions in my life. Now mind you their contract states you have to pay 3k to terminate the contract or pay for each month till someone moves in....very weird. Now i was calling to the office to see about when i would get my final bill of how much i owe, The front desk lady Stephanie Galbraith has a BIG BAD attitude each time i call she belittles me, and yells at me. I sent stonecreek a small check to start paying the amount i owe and MS. Stephanie told me my money meant nothing and that it was such a small amount of money even though i was giving what i had to start paying the balance! They need to fire Stephanie ASAP she has the worse customer service and is bringing down the companies name. She never reached out to me to let me know anything i had to call her! She doesn't deserve to work a customer service job if she is going to have a BIG attitude . And let me not forget about Aaron...he is supposed to be the manager but he never answers his emails and he is never in the office (why r u even working this job if you can't do the job duties) . Im giving stonecreek 5 stars Ive lived here for the past year and honestly its he only apartments i have ever rented that i have no complaints Staff is friendly When i put in a work order it gets fixed right away. , apartments are in a great location near school stores and parks. We enjoyed walking across the street to the park. Lots of places to ride bikes job no crime nothing never had a issue cars are safe here My amazon packages never got stolen lol Great place to live ! Im changing my review they are claiming they need to paint and replace carpet. I cleaned my carpet on a weekly basis they claim it has some red spots wow 3 small spots in my kids room. Is that worth $900 ??? They want to scam me out of half my deposit just cuz they think they can. They keep anything more then $300 they will see me in court I dont let people scam me out of no money period read more

Whenever I have had a question, concern, or needed a repair in the apartment, Stephanie has responded expeditiously. She is always polite, patience, and professional, especially at a time when great service is not so readily available any more. The maintenance staff is exceptional as well; always courteous, friendly, and helpful. The grounds are well-kept and I have always felt safe here. This whole place is a facade. It may look nice, but do not be fooled. Everything in the apartment will break within a week, and don't expect maintenance to do anything about it. We had mice for 3 months, and nothing was done after countless requests from us. Completely overpriced for what you get. The walls are so thin, we heard our neighbors having sex and singing karaoke at 8am every morning. Tons of free range children running around and screaming at all hours of the day. But hey, if you like living in a trash apartment with trash management, this place is for you. read more

I have a family member currently renting from StoneCreek Apartments and I can say I feel for them. The reason I provided two stars is due to the location, solely. You are in the heart of Santa Clarita: the mall, restaurants, freeway, and if you die from the horrible service of these apartments, Henry Mayo Hospital is just an ambulance blare away. But really, if Santa Clarita had a prime area, these apartments are definitely within it. And that's about all I have to say about that. To begin, management is very poor. My family member lives on the lower level and while we understand the woes that come with that, the tenant above dropping bricks could provide some mutual understanding as well. When contacting management regarding this, the outcome was a whole lotta nothing. When he told management that his life is becoming difficult because of it and he would like to view another unit, they gave him the FULL price.. not even a little love for the fact that his and his family's life has become inhabitable due to the neighbors. Also, this was probably the 6th time he has complained and so has the surrounding neighbors. Nothing has been done besides "they will speak to them." No follow up has been seen since and when you contact them on all forms of contact (phone, email, in person) there is little to no response. They are very unresponsive in all things, including maintenance. My poor family member had an electrical issue with his light switch and was using anything but his hand to turn on/off the lights, as it took several days for them to respond. Once they did, well we think they did, as nothing was left to ensure the issue was actually corrected. So we took a chance and believe it or not, we're still here. If you are not physically there then you roll the dice with knowing if they actually fixed your issues. But hey, there are those notes stamped to the door to let you know they will be doing something on the grounds and to be ready because you got it on a Thursday and they will be starting Friday at 8am. We actually began collecting them and after a year, there's a strong stump of a tree here. The water pressure hasn't been much of a concern for my family as I've stayed over plenty of times and showers are fine, but there are days where washing dishes would be awesome if the water came out a wee bit stronger. So all these reviews talk about management, maintenance, and noisy neighbors and I can attest those are all true. It's unfortunate because I can't imagine renting at these prices and receiving this treatment. Water pressure is really to each their own, grounds are fairly clean, and convenience is there. We lived here for 3 years and overall it was a great experience. It's a really nice complex and people are super friendly. Management is great. Rick and both Stephanie's were really friendly and accommodating. They'll go above and beyond for you. For the most part the maintenance staff was great - repairs were made quickly and we never had any serious issues. The location is excellent and there's a lot (restaurants, shopping, schools, etc.)within a short walking distance. I'd definitely recommend this place! This place sucks!!!!!!! It really does. . . I was living here for more than 6 years. The apartment manager and the staff are a complete idiot!! The service is horrible and they always seem to forget to send maintenance and also noisy, run down, and filled with problem neighbors. I would highly suggest looking elsewhere to live. Management is unresponsive! The grounds look alright, but the appliances are out of date and the water pressure is very low which makes showering difficult. Believe me; you would be happier living anywhere else. I have had to complain several times about noisy neighbors and management has done nothing as far as I can tell. Two stars for the environment. It's very serene and looks good on the outside. However, I went to go look at the loft apartments and they post it up on Craig's List that it's available. So I go in to look at the apartment and they say it's not ready to look at. Well ok when is it? Not til the end of September (more than a month away) ok maybe Ill come back. We rent them out before they are available..... Who would rent an apartment before looking at it? Well not me for one. Ok so this is whatever there are pictures online. Weird but not too much of a big deal, manager said he would give me a tour of the grounds. But what's the point if I cant see the actual apartment? What they tell you is that it's pet friendly (cats and dogs) YES I WANT TO GET A GERMAN SHEPHERD FROM A RESCUE!! What they don't tell you until you go in to the leasing office (it's not on their website) that there is a 35lb weight restriction and at least half the breeds known to man are restricted and German Shepherds are one of them. Not to mention the rent for a one bedroom with a small loft area is 1600 dollars, if you want a pet thats an extra $500 PET DEPOSIT (ok thats normal and feasible the human deposit is only $400) OH yea and on top of that you have to pay an extra $50 a month for PET RENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF?????????/ So if I want to live here Id be paying 1600+500+400 = 2500 for first month and 1650 each month after. I moved. Maintenance is ignored, but rent increases aren't. I lived at Stonecreek for a few years. The first year was happy, but then management changed and everyone I had grown accustomed to seeing moved. Why was soon answered when new management gave me a 10% rent increase after my first year. Despite all the maintenance issues being ignored, I signed a new lease. ALL of the neighbors I liked and had grown accustomed to moved. I understood that management ignored maintenance issues and said that the tenants were the issue, but that didn't explain it. Stonecreek was a wonderful community years ago despite being a very OLD property. When my lease was about to expire I was given 5 days to decide if I would sign a new lease with a 15% increase. Of course, I decided to move. The vast majority of tenants move after their lease is up, new management must be paid based on how much they increase rent. They defer maintenance, disregard tenant concerns and only care about profit, which is fine, but they change the terms of the lease and only give you a few days to review it, despite having had months to have their lawyers create the new lease. I'm happy I left. I rented a privately owned condo for less than I would have been paying at Stonecreek Apartments. I also have a garage under my condo and it's bigger. Issues with this property: Rent increases are unrealistic, tenants leave due to rent increases, property is nor maintained well, managers come into your apartment almost daily, ambulances are constantly screaming by on McBean, neighbors are noisy, and management ignores any issue claiming it's your fault, but they are only too happy to raise rents, while the property is pretty fit for South Central LA, Canyon Country, the AV or Pacoima. read more

I just moved in a month ago and I love the location. It is centrally located in town near eateries, market, and stores. However, that's it! I'm so disappointed about my home and inside of it that I'm sad I left my prior home. I had nothing but issues upon moving in. Maintenance was quick to respond, but still... As of today, I have fleas I'm sure, spiders, and other bugs that I'm scared to say. The cabinets are old until I can see the floor. The workman ship is terrible and the paint is just rolled over rolled over old paint. The electrical is questionable, because I can't use the sockets because they won't hold my plugs. I have several extension cords to try and make it work, they don't. I'm calling for service once again hoping that I learn to like where I am because of the amenities and amenities only! It's a shame that I feel this way after one month. I think every apartment should be vetted and upgraded to meet basic standards. read more

The staff here doesn't seem to realize that their tenants are actual human beings and as a result finds all sorts of new ways to passive aggressively manipulate them! For instance, their idea of "sufficient notice" for major construction at the complex is a note stuck to a tenant's door a couple of days in advance of the construction. As a result, if tenants leave town for several days at a time or if the note gets torn down by kids then they will never know that their vehicle will be expensively towed if not moved by the construction date. They basically do the "legal" minimum necessary to cover their asses and proceed to screw over all their residents as a result. It takes them upwards of 5 days to do even basic repairs like change a lightbulb. However, the maintenance guys are generally friendly but seem horribly overworked. A roommate is also fairly convinced that we have a mold problem that we were never informed about and has had severe allergy problems in the last few months as a result. They also conveniently screwed up the final month to month payment for the last month of my living here. The apartments here are fairly nice physically and we luckily had decent neighbors but the overall organization and attitude of the staff is far from pleasant and the repeated bad experiences with them has left a foul taste in our mouth. For the price of rent/utilities, a lot more work/attention and general humanity is really needed from the management. read more

NOT WORTH EVEN ONE STAR, BUT I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO PUT ZERO STARS...Just tried to go to Stone Creek apartments on McBean. We set up an appointment between 4:30 and 5pm and said we would be closer to 5. When we got there we were told we couldn't see the apartment because it was after dark. We were not told that on the phone. I am so furious because I was not told that on the phone yesterday. I made room in my schedule for this appointment and then when I got there they were rude about it. This is not the first time I have had problems with this place. The management doesn't care that they will be blasted on social media. I told the manager and she didn't seem to care. When I asked the manager what she was going to do for me to get me to rent there she didn't have anything. She only said that if I couldn't make it during the hours they would show the apartment, there wasn't anything further. DO NOT RENT THERE!!! I couldn't imagine giving this complex any less than 5 stars. I saw there were some pretty nasty reviews on here, but I had some friends living in the complex prior and they loved it, so I decided to ignore the reviews for once and give it a shot. Given, I was living in a horrible complex in Newhall prior to moving here, so this is a huge upgrade to what I am used to. First of all, it's quiet. VERY quiet. And in the good way, not the creepy way. There are nice residents walking around, but I hardly see anyone and when I do, they are always friendly. I dog sit my mom's dog on occasion and she barks at EVERYTHING so luckily, she doesn't hear much around our unit. It's always clean and I've never had any issues with my car being broken into as some have mentioned (not discrediting anyone who has had those issues, I'm sorry for that) but I am in the back of the complex near a trail. Lovely people ride bikes and walk their dogs and never cause any issues. The trail itself is beautiful and serene to walk to a small park nearby, even has a bridge to the mall area. I know it's scary moving somewhere that has some bad reviews but I can personally assure you that my experience has been nothing short of incredible so far. The apartment itself is also spacious for the price and location. Also, the staff has always been helpful and efficient to me. I hope this helps! read more

Great location it's so close to everything, love that Starbucks in across the street. Now for the cons... the apartments are a little dated I would have given five stars if they had hardwood floors and included a fridge. I'm currently having an issue with parking. The guy in the spot next to me keeps parking over the line making it impossible for me to park in my assigned space. I email management every time this happens but they have stopped responding and refuse to assign me a new space. The next step is to contact an attorney to get out of my lease. All for a new space.
