I was very happy with the customer service I received from Kevin Pace. As long as I have been dealing with Stonegate no one had taken the time to talk to me as a person like he did. He actually explain my medication took the time to research my insurance. Never made me feel like I was taking up his time. No stars. They are AWFUL. 2 months in a row, they could not fill a compounded medication in 5 business days. Try 2 weeks! No calls to the customer on when to expect and when you do call they don't call you back or they say it will be ready Monday COB and on Friday your still waiting. A truly reputable company would not OVER MARKET their capabilities to the point of non-delivery. A truly reputable company would manage customer expectations and call them at least to give a definite date when it will be ready instead of stating one and then blowing it and not saying anything. These are medications. They are 30 day prescriptions. What good is it if you can't get them for half the month? read more

Locked the doors at 6:29pm, pretended like they didn't see me at the door. Poor, poor customer service

I had a horrible experience with this compounding pharmacy. My prescription was transferred to them because my usual compounding pharmacy was closed briefly, and this pharmacy gave me the run-around. First, they didn't have my prescription order. Then, they had it but couldn't fill it until the following week because they only compound that medicine once a week and I had called them too late that day for them to compound it, despite that fact that I had actually called them for the prescription the day before. Next, they filled it two days late (after the week long wait), which I only found out because I called them make sure it was ready for me to pick up before I drove there. The next day, they called me at 5pm and said prescription was ready to be picked up, but that they closed at 6:30pm. And lastly, they only gave me half of the prescription I needed, not the full prescription. "BUYER BEWARE" STONEGATE Pharmacy was contacted by my Doctor at 10:15 a.m. + or - 10 min on Wednesday. Stonegate proudly advertises " If you call us by 3:00 pm we will call you "The same day"! NOPE! NOT FOR ME!! I got a return call at.. 3:37 pm the following day asking for insurance info. Then at 4:12 pm I was told my insurance did not cover there medicine, no problem. I asked how much for me to pay for the prescription? It's $60, I'll give you card number but.. Now, the problem we can't guarantee we will fill it tomorrow! It might be Monday and we would then ship it to you on Tuesday. That is about one week for a simple prescription! What is their business model and what are they trying to do?? If this was my hart medication, I would be dead. I Guess they will send me a memo a day late after closing . Your promise to the Doctor was call us before 3:00 p.m. and we will call the patent the "SAME DAY" or words to that effect!!!' My Doctor closes at 4:00 p.m., Like most doctors. Calling me a day late and after my Dr.s hours is "HORRIFIC" I could have taken two prescriptions at Walgreens and I would never have been referred to Stonegate! Well, BUYERS MIGHT SUFFER LIKE ME... I agreed to auto refill and notification by email. (text and phone is available) Reliable, clean, and prompt. The staff was pleasantly courteous, clear and informed me of everything I needed to know. Answered all my questions. Pricing for my rx was excellent! Minor con, open only on weekdays to 6:30pm. They have an app. I do not know if other medications are expensive. I know mine are unusually low priced compared to everywhere else. I make the time to go. It is worth it. read more

Stonegate delivers medicine to my elderly mom in a group home. The accuracy of medication delivery is fine, but their billing practices STINK. When caring for an elderly parent, there are countless small administrative tasks to take care of. Having auto-payment for bills is a great time saver. They just couldn't get it right when my Visa account number changed for auto payment. No less than FIVE phone calls in FIVE billing cycles and they still haven't updated their records. I really tried to like this pharmacy. I wanted to support an independently-owned pharmacy rather than a national chain; but I cannot deal with the incompetence of this pharmacy any longer. If you call in a prescription, be aware that it'll likely be at least 5-6 hours before it is refilled IF they even fill it at all. On at least three occasions, I was told that they didn't receive my refill request. If this is true (and not just a convenient excuse), then they need to get a better-functioning call-in system. Last month, when my prescription was not filled AGAIN, they mentioned they could put my prescription on auto-fill. Brilliant! Of course, that makes the most sense. So, believe it or not, I show up a few days ago and not only did they NOT have my prescription filled -- they didn't even have my medication in stock AND it'd be three days before they could get it! Are you kidding me!? Luckily for me, this medication wasn't for any serious medical condition; but all I could think about is what if it was? So needless to say, I am no longer supporting this pharmacy...a decision I should have made months ago. read more

Rene F. Garza, I hope you are reading. I started using Stonegate Pharmacy several years back. I found it on a poster hung at Austin Pain Associates. They advertised a 20 minute wait. I found it to be a great place to do business. Heck, the employees actually cared about your needs. As the months went by, it got busier and the employees changed. When I left the pharmacy today, I was very angry. I have found that the employees don't care, the wait time has increased to a minimum of 1 hour (in my last 3 or so visits), and they just won't listen to you. I get 7 prescriptions a month. The doctor sends them over in different ways. Each time, I tell the clerk how the prescriptions are coming in. Don't much matter. They usually leave one out and it just makes the wait even longer. All this aside, I was not going to review them on Yelp. I tried to contact the owner through their Email portal. I wrote a lengthy explanation of my experience and entered the coded security words. Gosh, I got the security word wrong so instead of allowing me to reenter it, the commentary was wiped out. I decided that maybe this was the right place to go after all. I switched to Stonegate after a severe problem with my previous pharmacy. They were giving me the wrong doses of medicine which caused me to have severe depression for several weeks. I needed a pharmacy that was accurate and delivered. I must admit that they filled my prescription within 3 days even when my doctor had to do an exception with insurance. My concern is that they did not coordinate my care. One person would say one thing while another said the opposite. I told them that I had Narcolepsy and could not go back to work until I got my prescription. They put on my profile that I did not work and could take late deliveries. Even after I asked for delivery before 2 because I had to be to work by 3. The delivery driver even had the audacity to question me about it as if I were lying ! All in all I think we have it straightened out now and I hope they get coordinated enough to meet mine and everyone else's needs. read more

Ok, so my Doc here in San Antonio wants me to have this med. She wants it to be given sublingual rather than oral and it's not available sublingual. What to do? Enter the compounding pharmacy. So, she uses this pharmacy out of Austin and I'm like no way I'm driving to Austin. Pick one here in SA. She says no problem they deliver. I'm thinking sure and I get stuck with a $25 med and a $50 delivery charge. NOPE. Delivery is FREE. No I couldn't believe it either. When I start getting low I simply call and leave a voice mail and wallah! 2-3 days later a small package is where I told then to leave it at my house. I give them 3 stars for ease of service and billing. Won't rate them higher as mine is an "off site" transaction and I don't interact with the humans that run the joint. Face to face customer service needs to be taken into account for a higher rating in my opinion. But great experience in my particular circumstance! read more

I don't know why Alexis told me that they deliver between 6 a.m. And 2 p.m. On a certain day but I was told that is not true the very next day. Then I was told that the driver would call me an hour before they arrived which they never did. I was repeatedly given the runaround. These people are very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I called a few times about my medication, and had an extremely positive experience. The staff and pharmacists were super-friendly and they thoroughly answered all of the questions I had about my medication (e.g., how to take it, side-effects, how to travel with it, etc.). My order was delivered quickly and was packaged well to prevent if from losing potency in the heat. Wow! My parents recently relocated to the Austin Texas areas from Flint Michigan, and needless to say the good folks at Stonegate made what could be a difficult process easier than could be imagined. My parents had long used Linden pharmacy (in Michigan) and were were more than happy to find a customer driven independent pharmacy that reminded them of home. And to mention free delivery!! What a great concept. My parents are certainly satisfied and as a son whose parents moved cross country it was nice to have one less thing to worry about when it came to their health care. Several times they have taken a refill order and completely dropped the ball. Both in person and on the designated line/voicemail for refilling prescriptions. In addition I called February 9th requesting a report of my 2015 expenses at the pharmacy for my taxes. The male I spoke with was anxious about wasting a stamp on sending it to me and anxious to send it with my next prescription. I told him I was not ready for a refill and they probably couldnt fill it techically due to that and I needed the report and asked him since I have been a long time client and had to continue to be could he please just send it. He looked up my script and stated it could be sent out that week. I said fine then if it is this week then please send both. 11 days later NOTHING. Over $.43.... way to be stingy and now I really do need my prescription I have to do shots daily and I am pregnant. Not only are they lazy and stingy, they are messing with me and my baby's health. I have called and left multiple messages it better get fixed today. Just are they going to pay me for doing all this hassle, over and over? No. Oh and auto fill is a freaking joke... I was suppose to be on that as a back up so I didn't have this to deal with. read more

Stonegate was very helpful when I had to order some medication for my mother while I was out of town. We were not in their system, but that was not a problem, and they were able to deliver the medicine. Horrible experiences with this pharmacy...their delivery personnel cannot take credit cards or checks, when I asked why, they could not explain. Took three days of on or off delivery until I finally went over and picked up prescription. I will never use them again, as many other pharmacies now offer compounded prescriptions. read more

I have never written a yelp review but this pharmacy has done a very poor job. On one occasion a few months ago, they provided my cream prescription in syringes with so many air bubbles, I didn't get approx 1/3 of the medicine. The assistant who provided the med. said there were a lot of air holes he could see and to count the number of doses missed. I did that and when I went for a refill, they refused to credit me until weeks later when I had spoken to a helpful employee who advocated for me. Two other times I have requested a refill and they didn't send the request to the lab until after I had run out of medicine. This last time, I called in on Thur 10-1-15 to request a refill. I called back on Sat 10-3 to see when I would get the med cause I was running out on Wed 10-7. I was told it would be ready Wed or Thur. When I returned a call from a staff member on Tuesday 10-6, she said my request had not been sent to the lab yet! And it takes 5 business days! I told her I had requested the refill on 10-1 and needed the med. by 10-7. She said the refill would be ready 5 working days from now, by Mon. 10-12 and that sometimes the lab expedites the refill. I said would they? She said "probably not". Needless to say, I am switching pharmacies. read more
