Stopped by on this warm, beautiful Thursday afternoon with the goal to have a cold beer on the outdoor seating area. The ice cold F5 IPA mi not disappoint. My eye wandered over the menu and I settled on a Chicken BBQ pizza. Amazingly good. Mission accomplished.

I visited Stonehorse Cafe for the first time on a random Wednesday afternoon. I'd say that I had a nice experience considering it being my first visit. My server was great and the atmosphere was nice and calm. Everything I ate was amazing, my favorite was the BURRATA and Focaccia, I'd come back just for that (I did)!

The food is amazing. We started with the crab cakes. They were amazing. I did not like the mango ketchup (the dipping sauce) but it grew on me. Then we shared the halibut (the special of the night), spicy shrimp risotto (absolute fave), and the blue salad. The service was fast. Our waitress was knowledgeable, funny, and amazing! The ambience is nice. You can sit inside or out. I have done both and it honestly just depends on your mood.

Totally unacceptable and scummy hidden surcharge added to our bill. Food was not good enough to warrant having to pay the kitchen extra money for no reason. Pay your cooks an appropriate wage if you appreciate them so much.

This location is in Utica Square on the corner, there are lots of options for parking. We were able to get a table quickly. It is a smaller restaurant but they use the space well. There is some fun decor. The service was great, our waitress was excellent. She stayed on top of drinks, was great with checking in and recommending items. The food was really good. The group tried a variety of items, I loved the salmon - it was light the broth was yummy. The truffle fries were so good and it was a huge order even sharing with the table, it has to be taken to go. It is definitely worth a try, if you have some shopping to do and want to grab a bite.

This is my first impression of Stonehorse Cafe. So far, it is my favorite place to eat in Utica Square. Once in a while, creativity leads to great innovation. Most of the time, this is not the case. Fortunately, the kosher chicken ravioli is awesome. Stonehorse Cafe has a daily Tim's pick that changes from day to day. On this particular day, I am so happy I took risk and tried the kosher chicken ravioli which is the most unique ravioli you'll ever have. It's kosher chicken (chicken tenders) and stuffed ricotta ravioli in chicken broth. It truly is a soup and as a Vietnamese American, I love it. I feel like this brings out the flavor of the ricotta cheese. So many things about Stonehorse Cafe that make me want to come back. Good food, cute waitress, and Utica Square are just a few reasons. To be continued...

I love the restaurant, but a super fan of their market! It's not big but the selection is wonderful. I am obsessed with their southwest avocado wrap...it's so good. I typically eat half and save the other half for another meal. I bought their everything crosswind recently and put their egg salad on it and it was so delicious! It his staff is always friendly and help too. It's a grate place to stop for to go sandwich or items for dinner or entertaining. The crab cakes, Caesar salad, chocolates, and bakery items do not disappoint!

We went to Stonehorse for dinner and were both stunned and disgusted when our meal was interrupted by BUGS scurrying across our table between us! Management couldn't have handled the situation any worse than they did, and then (to add insult to injury) the food was sob-par. Tip: Even without the insect problem, the prices here are WAY too high when you consider the poor quality of their cuisine I'd suggest that you skip this place and eat anywhere else!

I didn't know what to expect from Stonehorse Cafe, but it wasn't this! Delectable. Will absolutely return. The bartender was so sweet and attentive. You could tell she had relationships with all of the regulars that came in. It was so lovely to see! Fresh bread, caprese salad (could have been my lunch!), and the chicken and spinach ravioli were all so wonderful!

Please note: There are a lot of unethical and legal issues concerning this restaurant at this time. Final Score: 62/100; Average Intro: Stonehorse Cafe in Tulsa's Utica Square epitomizes the Oklahoma dining trend where quantity often overshadows quality. Owned by Chef Tim Inman, this well-known establishment has been a Tulsa institution for years. I decided to revisit Stonehorse after almost a decade to see if anything had changed. Let's eat. Atmosphere: The ambiance at Stonehorse Cafe was confusing and slightly uncomfortable. Upon entering, I was greeted by a mix of seafood aroma, char, and an unidentifiable scent. The dark decor, close-set tables, and loud environment detracted from the dining experience. The restaurant was cold enough to give me goosebumps that lingered throughout much of the meal. The vibe felt confusing, with dark tones, a dark carpeted floor, black walls, and some off-white accents. Average service. While the initial enthusiasm was notable, service gaps became evident as the evening progressed. Our party felt neglected at times, despite the restaurant being less than half full. Some dishes were explained in detail, while others were not. One of our party wanted another drink, but was never asked if she wanted one (We acknowledge that we could have spoken up, yet the restaurant was at less than half capacity and high caliber service at a fine dining restaurant has certain standards and expectations. Food: Stonehorse's extensive menu includes nearly 50 offerings. We opted for a blind tasting: Italian Cheese Bread: Massive with good texture contrast, served with refreshing pesto and butter. The bread is massive, with cheese baked into the center. It has a good textural contrast between the crust and the center. Jump Gulf Shrimp: Well-cooked shrimp with a tangy, sweet cocktail sauce featuring diced cucumber for added freshness. The shrimp were cooked well, and the cocktail sauce had a tangy, sweet flavor profile. The sauce featured diced cucumber at the bottom, adding a crisp freshness to each bite. Wood-Roasted Medjool Dates: Sweet dates with smoky chorizo and undercooked bacon, resulting in a chewy texture. The dish features significantly sweet initial notes from the date that can overpower the other components. The sauce had a smoky cumin flavor profile that added some heat to the back of your throat. However, the bacon was undercooked in some areas, resulting in a chewy texture in some bites. Spicy Lobster Bisque: Velvety with rich, salty seafood notes, butter, cream, and sweet sherry. The bisque had a velvety texture with small chunks of lobster throughout. The flavor profile featured initial notes of rich, salty seafood fading to middle notes of butter and cream, with lingering end notes of lobster and sweet sherry. It is a well-composed bisque with a coherent and elegant flavor profile. 50/50 Pizza (BBQ Chicken and Chicken Basil Pesto):** Crust had good crunch, but the pizza was topping-heavy and soggy in the middle. The crust had a good crunch at the back end with a nice char. There are some critiques of the pizza. First, the ratio of crust-to-topping is topping-heavy, causing the toppings to fall off each slice. Second, the pizza's texture was soggy and wet in the middle, caused by the serving dish and the pocket of air that formed, allowing the juices to soak into the crust. Scottish King Salmon: Beautifully cooked with fingerling potatoes, lump crab, and tangy béarnaise sauce. This is a well-composed, beautiful dish. The salmon is cooked to perfection with an excellent sear, as are the fingerling potatoes. Creekstone Beef Tenderloin: Rare beef with roasted goat cheese that overpowered the delicate flavor. Bland vegetables and decent potatoes. The beef tenderloin was cooked to a beautiful rare and rested upon chunky grilled red onion. The roasted goat cheese is tangy and can overpower the delicate flavor of the beef. Maple-Glazed Carrots and Pecans: Fork-tender carrots with a nutty, sweet flavor, though the syrup ratio drowned out the carrot taste. One critique is that a considerable amount of syrup formed at the bottom of the dish. When it congealed, the ratio of sauce-to-carrot drowned out the carrot flavor. Mexican Sweet Corn: Al dente corn with smoky chipotle and cotija, though the chipotle flavor dominated. The corn was cooked al dente and had a crisp texture. Overall: Stonehorse Cafe remains true to its roots, prioritizing quantity over quality. While nothing was particularly bad, dishes like shrimp cocktail and bread were merely average. The extensive menu aims to please a broad audience but lacks mastery. Stonehorse is akin to an upscale Charleston's or Chili's, catering to those who prefer portion size over culinary finesse. It will likely remain a staple in Utica Square, appealing to the tastes of many Oklahomans.

8 ounce beef tenderloin with goat cheese

I like to make it to Stone horse Café about once a quarter. Good lunch or dinner spot for higher end food in Utica square. Great date night spot if you don't might medium noise level as the tables are in rather close proximity. If you love dates you must try the wood roasted medjool dates. The beef tenderloin tartar with white truffle is also a treat. On this specific outing we got the house focaccia. If you like warm bread, this is very tasty. It's served a healthy size of burrata, pesto & olive oil. Great appetizer for four people to try or two people if you're hungry and absolutely love incredible fresh warm bread as it's cut into four pieces. I almost always get the beef tenderloin steak, which is served with goat cheese on top. (Must try if you're obsessed w steak like myself) I don't think I've ever tried a dessert here, but I can imagine that they are very good. For cocktails they make a good espresso martini and if you're looking for something refreshing the "in good spirits" always hits the spot for me. It is a reposado tequila cocktail with muddled rosemary, grapefruit, st Germaine & egg whites. (I'm typically not a grapefruit in the drink person. But they know what they're doing with this) I think it has some other ingredient as well but it's escaping me. This is a popular Tulsa restaurant so it tends to fill up quickly. Sometimes it seems like the servers are a little short staffed or overwhelmed. I would say I've never had a "bad experience" here, but some servers are better than others. It's fairly priced and the food is consistent so I will continue coming back and recommending stonehorse.

Service was spot on throughout the entire night. We started with the deviled eggs, half plain and half Chef's Choice. The Chef's Choice were the best, drizzled with chili crisp (or pickled Szechuan peppercorns) and topped with a tiny gherkin and fresh dill. The soup of the day was a cabbage and radish soup. It was interesting and very homey but I wish I had ordered the salad. I had the Novarro Farm sweet Potato Gnocchi (kale and pecan pesto, Birch Bottom Farm Georgia candy roaster, fresh chevre). I was a little hesitant about the kale pesto but should NOT have been. This dish was delicious--great garlic flavor. Would order again. The burger looked amazing and while The Hubs said it was good, he also said it needed some more spice. They had a couple of rotating beers from Heirloom--a Mexican Lager and an Italian Pilsner. I had the Water Lily cocktail, their take on an Aviation. Order it just because it's beautiful (and refreshing). The photo does not depict the deep color of it. I asked what other gin based cocktails they had on their menu. They didn't but the server/bartender offered to make me a Bee's Knees for the second round. It was delicious! The atmosphere here is casual but the food is elevated. I kept thinking this is what a French bistro would be like inside. I want to come back and shop the market. Oh, and the apple pie was excellent as well!

They definitely have their own twist on things. The sweet potatoes were good but a little heavy on the nutmeg. They tasted like a mix of apple and pumpkin pie. The mac and cheese was really creamy. I really liked the horseradish coleslaw. I'm not a big fan of collard greens but I still tried them and actually thought they were pretty good. For our mains, two of us had the brisket and one had ribs. Both were super good. There were 4 different sauces. I recommend trying them all. I wanted to try the sausage but they were sold out. I guess you need to get there earlier than an hour before they closed. We finished with a couple desserts. The banana pudding was probably the best I've had. Their seasonal cobbler was blueberry and very tasty! I was hoping for peach. Maybe next time. Yes there will definitely be a next time. It was a lot of food so we had plenty left over that ate for lunch the next day. The atmosphere is super friendly and really clean. Like most barbecue places I've been to there is no table service. You order and pay at the counter. Then depending on how busy they are they will bring your food to your table or have you pick up at the counter. For me the cherry on top is their pay it forward meal. For $15 you can buy a meal for someone in need. They hand you a receipt that you pin to a board. Then when someone needs a meal they can go in and grab one off the board. They offer them their lunch special. While I was there I saw a very grateful individual come in and get a meal. The staff were super nice and treated them just like any other customer. Great food! Great service! Great value! Do yourself a favor and try this place!

With a squeeze of grilled lemon and some malt vinegar it was pretty close to perfection. It may take a trip to Jolly Old England to beat it, and I've had F&C in England and Ireland so I can at least compare it to the good stuff.

Topped with two perfectly poached eggs, and brunch potatoes on the side with a nice crisp salad and fresh bread. The lamb was seasoned to perfection, and melted in my mouth. The biggest surprise for me were the potatoes. Brunch potatoes are usually overly greasy and bland. These were fresh, salted, and had the perfect crispness.
