Elit Tile's return policy is meaningless if they can simply invent new restrictions after taking your money. My experience with Elit Tile began with them failing to deliver the order I paid for. I purchased 8 pieces of tile, but their vendor only shipped 6 pieces. I had to discover their mistake myself. Had I not counted the order, I would have left with an incomplete purchase. Later, they actually tried to use the cost of correcting their own shipping mistake as a reason to deny my return. After bringing the completed order home, I realized the tile did not match my existing flooring. I immediately contacted Joy Lee and requested a return while the tile was completely unused. Here's the problem: at no point before my purchase did Joy Lee tell me that returns supposedly depended on vendor approval or that orders under four boxes could not be returned. That alleged restriction was never disclosed in the store and does not appear anywhere in my sales paperwork. Only after I requested a return did Joy Lee suddenly claim that the vendor would not approve it because the order was under four boxes. That completely defeats the purpose of having a return policy. If customers are never told about these restrictions until after they pay, then they don't have the information necessary to make an informed purchasing decision. Instead of standing behind what was represented at the time of sale, Elit Tile relied on an undisclosed vendor policy that was never communicated beforehand and refused to accept responsibility. My tile was unused, my return request was made promptly, and yet I was simply told the matter was "closed." If you're considering purchasing from Elit Tile, ask for every return restriction in writing before you hand over your credit card. Otherwise, you may discover after the sale that the return policy you thought you had doesn't actually apply. read more

There are TONS of tile samples - so we asked for a quick tour. I was disappointed dealing with Jorge (sales person). One of my clients purchased 3 slabs and we had one left over. I wasn't able to return a countertop slab back. Their policy says we can make a return subject to a 30% stocking fee. I was willing to pay the re-stocking fee of 30%. At longest we are able to return it before 30 days. The slabs were purchased approximately 2 weeks ago. I had plenty of time to return the slab and pay the fee. Jorge chose not to help me and seems like he did not care. I was NOT able to return the slab. They will loose me and any of my clients for future business. The only reason I have them 2 stars is because they do have beautiful material. read more

Gorgeous array of tiles from all over, which is why I'm giving them two stars. My boyfriend and I went into the store over two weeks ago. The sales woman we worked with never got back to us on prices without us calling and asking a second time, and when we tried again to ask about a second tile, never got back to us. The customer service is the only reason why we didn't buy from this store. It's a shame really - the prices are on the higher end, but we were willing to pay the extra money for gorgeous product. When we tried to change our sales person, we were told we had to work with the person we first talked to and put in our initial inquiries. Again, a shame. Won't be doing business here. read more

Most recently we had to tear out our kitchen floor unexpectedly. Tile guy advised to find something "in stock" for a quick turn around. First day I set out, I was exhausted from going from shop to shop, and the store was extremely busy when I arrived so I just called it a day. READY to go at 9AM the next day, the store was calmer and sales team well caffeinated ready to assist me. Isabella was absolutely a joy. She recalled me from the day prior, rare considering how busy they were, and asked if I needed help right when I walked through the door. We placed a small order placed for a bathroom shower stall through our contractor, but Elit Tile got almost nothing right about the order, and haven't returned my calls. It seems we've lost more than $300 due to incorrect, or too much product (about 10% of the total order cost) . 1. The order took too long to write up and finalize -- miscommunication or lack of follow up for two weeks. 2. The estimate was written up incorrectly, quantities were wrong. 3. Inconsistency of product, where some tiles were of different size. 4. The metal "jolly edge" edging isn't suitable for the tile we selected, according to the installers; they should have advised us of that. 5. The metal edging finish was also written up wrong in the order, and we had to get a replacement. 6. Grout for the floor was in the order, but this grout was suitable for the floor only, not the walls, so we had to make an extra run to the hardware store; again, the tile experts should have advised us of this. 7. Their pricing is pretty high compared to others with similar product. 8. "No returns" policy; we're stuck with several boxes of unused tile. That's a large number of issues for a very simple order, and no guidance from their supposed expertise. In no way would we recommend or work with them again. We've also advised our contractor to avoid them as well. read more

Charged me a $120 exchange fee and on top of that their "manager" KARENA speaks with a rude and loud tone-- screaming and does not like it when you get FEED UP and talk to her the same way back. When you talk to her the same way she talks to you she screams "she doesn't want to do business with you" and screams at her workers to load it into my car and won't take my exchange. So clearly it's okay for them to talk to you like crap and you have to accept that treatment. This is not her business, and I already paid for the tiles. Don't bother stopping by at this tile store. There are much better options on the same street. We spent a considerable amount of money buying tile from these guys. They messed up one of our orders and sent us the wrong tile. When we notified them, they told us they can't get the tile we want for another month, so we decided to return the tile. They told us there would be a 25% restocking fee...on something that we didn't order in the first place and that was still in its original packaging. That's not what I call customer service. After checking out 3-4 shops Finally I walk in here and not only did they have the tile I was looking for they also had a very helpful interior designer. Karina really came through, she asked if I had any pictures of the kitchen I was renovating. Brought out the tile I was looking for but also some suggestions on what she felt would compliment the granite countertops I already had installed.
