Anyways, we bought this house and had it inspected and everything else we were supposed to do, which wasn't cheap FYI. The Inspector-guy checked out the fireplace even (which is gas). We go through the whole moving process which we all know can be a nightmare. I go to do a once over the house while my partner took a shower. I came to the fireplace and I flicked the switch, and... Nothing! I couldn't believe it so i flicked it back off, and then on again. This time i heard it sparking, but still nothing lit. To make a long story short, we were talking to the neighbor and they told us to call CoVa Gas Fireplace Repair. Well at first that sounded a lot like a certain virus we all know but she repeated CoVa Gas Fireplace and I just shrugged (we are from Texas where there is no Gas Fireplaces. I am used to the run-around service companies can give you but i must say that from the beginning, CoVa Gas Fireplace Repair was probably the best service company experience I have EVER had! The were so courteous, polite, and professional. They laid out how their service works, exactly how much it is, and didnt hide their price or alienate me in any way. They listened to what i had to say and within a week they were at my house and did such a great job on the fireplace. Anyway's I ask him and he quickly and softly but with a deep voice says "no, I'm fine; thank you anyways..." i just blurt out UH-HUH and he looked back at me with the funniest facial expression and just held it there for about 20 second, Longest 20 seconds of my life haha. all of a sudden i felt an immense amount of laughter about to erupt... it did., I swear i almost died laughing. So was the technician. Before he left i asked him what possessed him to do that and he said "probably my meds wearing off" and we both almost died laughing again. it was a riot. He always was funny but this time he just really made me laugh hysterically. i can't wait for next year!

I had a serious issue in which my converted garage family room was several degrees colder in the winter and approx that many hotter in the summer because my unused chimney was sucking air from the room up through the chimney out into the atmosphere. They efficiently demolished my chimney and bricked up the wall where the chimney had been. They did a spectacular job, and I can already tell a significant difference. The price was excellent as well, considering how difficult the job was to complete. I intend to use them in the future for any other masonry work I might require, and I highly recommend them to anyone for their chimney needs. They do excellent work demolishing chimneys!

Had a technician from this company come to service my gas fireplace due to it not firing up as…read moreexpected, there would be times it would and then it might go multiple days without lighting when initiating. It's a Heatilator and they are one of the only company that are "certified" to do the work on that brand in this area (or so they claim). I was told over the phone the tech would clean and service my entire fireplace. Tech literally did about 10 minutes of work, did not have everything on him and had to run out to his work truck multiple times. Anyways, after he was done I had to prompt him to tell me what was wrong and he never offered to explain parts or possible future needs. He went (once prompted) to mention one of my parts was slightly bent and that if I I have further issues it'll need replaced...that's why you were called out to my residence in the first place to service and diagnose the issue and provide me the customer AB accurate report. Last but not least when I went to pay the crazy $250 charge the technician did not have his card reader with him and had to call someone to run it. Maybe this is the standard of care for this type of service but I'll be looking elsewhere for the next time.

I never heard back from them and can't get them on the phone. I ended up having to hire another company. I don't think i will be recommending the fireplace doctor to anyone. Running a vacuum is not enough to fix a fireplace. There should have been more troubleshooting done.
