This mall is ghetto if you go on the weekends beware of all the annoying crowds. When you're walking around all you hear is Spanish like doesn't anyone speak English?!Parents that don't know how to control their kids letting them run anywhere and everywhere. I recently started going here due to being most convenient for me. At first it seems great but dont be fool this mall , specially for being in l.a. is extremely disappointed. The shops are nice but its other factors for example its the holiday season and this place closes early. Way to early like if everyone's the elderly no disrespect , this is how it feels you expect it would be open a little late due to the season. Anyway enjoy if you like to go to bed early. read more

I love this mall because it's so ghetto lol. How ironic right. Everything is so much Cheaper here. Every department store carries the same products. But since this one isn't in Beverly Hills or Orange County it's like they have to sell it for less for people to purchase. I recommend it all the time. I've never liked this mall and my recent visit confirmed it tremendously. The only reason I came here was because I was in the area and wanted to run a few errands before going to a friend's house. For one, this is a very small mall. The air conditioning wasn't working very well and you could really feel heated sections, which did not help because it was over 90 yesterday. I would periodically come across sections where there were major spills (whether it was some kid who got sick or dropped ice cream), it just didn't seem like the cleaning crews were keeping up with these problems (that or I just happened upon them immediately they occured). Either way, I'm glad I don't venture west very often. I was quickly reminded why I always do my shopping up in Whittier or in Orange County. read more

The guy at the Dish Authorized Dealer inside the mall tonight was a total jerk. I asked him if I could sit Down on "one" of his empty "six" chairs and he said no!! In other words since the mall was about 10 minutes to close he didn't want to take the time to give me info. No wonder he was alone. read more

I hate that this mall only has one area for the restroom and it's for everyone. It's for men and women and there's only 3 toilets. They need to put more restrooms, my daughter peed her pants waiting for the restroom. To make things worse, they have sinks in the restroom and that takes even longer for kettle to come out. read more

I have to agree with the other reviews, this is a small mall in comparison to other malls. If you need a wider selection of stores, I would suggest the Cerritos shopping center. Stonewood's food court is pretty minimal and their major stores are Khol's, Macy's, JC Penny's and Sears. They have a Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works and The Children's Place. There's also a BJ's and an Olive Garden. If you are in the area and need to kill some time, then it will do but it is not a shopper's paradise. On a holiday the parking lot can get pretty crowded and weekdays after 2pm the nearby Downey High school kids flood it. read more

I really like this mall but its just a long distance from my house. Every store I went into had great customer service. Overall the mall was kinda small though... I thought that this mall would be kinda ghetto because of the area but it wasn't. Really clean mall with a decent food court. Jesus, if you think this is a poor man's mall, then by all means go to the Beverly center then, damn stuck-ups. Anyways, this mall isn't too bad. It's really clean and it has the major department stores. It's just a tad small, but hey, it's nicer than Montebello, in that you don't see as many cholos walking around with their cakeface girlfriends. Food court needs a bit more variety though. read more

It is call Stonewood Forest as a play area for kids to play in. Near the play area. There's family restrooms made for people with family to use. In the family restroom. I sometimes see men having no kids come to use the family restroom. I often come here to take my kids to play. Whenever I waited for the restroom door. Men having no kids, would walk out, leaving their piss on the toilet seat. Some just have no respect for others to use after them. I'm sure dads are polite enough to lift toilet seats up with their kids inside. Either way. Family man or no family. How come the family restroom is not constantly clean? It should be. I go to this Stonewood Center Mall. But every time I come here to use the family restroom with my kids. All of the family restrooms are always filthy with people pissing on the toilet seats, instead of lifting the seats up. And toilet papers are always everywhere over the floors and full trash cans. Messes are made everyday from people at the mall. They need to hire more janitors. Because they are not doing their job so very good. The janitors should clean up the family restrooms constantly. Because it is disgusting and nobody isn't touching it, unless it's clean. Where's the janitors who are supposed to take care of it? This mall needs more janitors now. read more

I come to this mall often because it's the closet nice mall to my job. It's never overcrowded and is always clean. Parking is plentiful. On the east end is where most of the stores are. The food court is on the west end. There is a Macy's, Sears, New York and Co, Payless Shoes, Children's Place and See's Candy just to name a few. Outside the mall are the BJ's, Olive Garden and Acapulco's restaurants. There is also an Wells Fargo Bank and Arco gas station conveniently near by. I only wish there was a TJ Maxx or a fun place for kids near by. A movie theater would be perfect here. But all in all a cool shopping center. read more

Its an ok mall if you go early in the day. After the high school gets out though its filled with all of the kids. Nothin special about it. Its got your major department stores(ie. Sears, jc penney, kohls) so no big attractions. read more

Although they have added many new stores it is just not a great mall. It's very small with only Sears, Macy's, and JCPenny as their major department stores. I only come here out of convenience. This mall is small but it pretty much has everything I need for a quick stop or for a shopping spree. They have a Forever 21( newly remodeled), a Victoria Secret, Express, Macy's, Kholes, New York and Co. etc. it's even good enough to have a BJ's restaurant for a Monday night football dinner and drinks. It has plenty of parking except during the holidays, but I don't think there's any mall that has enough during that time of year. It does need a few more specialty shops. I went to BeBe clothing and was in a hurry. The staff was very kind. I told them that I only had 30 minutes to shop and needed to be home ASAP for a concert. Immediately they jumped in and begin to help me choose 2 outfits for the weekend. My husband was very pleased. We also made it on time to the concert. I shopped at G by Guess and was greeted by the sales rep immediately upon entering the store!! She asked what I was searching for and took me right to the dress that was perfect for the event I was attending. She completed my sale with the same personality and professionalism as when I entered. I'm so sorry that I can't remember her name, as it was a beautiful Ethiopian name:):) I will surely return to this store in the future!! I am not a mall person but there are times you just need to step foot in one to purchase items for your loved ones, recently I did take my kid trick or treating at the mall. The mall overall is clean and the stores are easy to find. One floor mall, you won't find the more upscale stores here, for those stores I suggest Cerritos mall. I work at the cart in the Stonewood center. The securities treat me unfairly and the worst security manager I have ever met. I am not saying I always follow the rules they make for mall employees and I am not the only one who is breaking rules. I have been seeing everyone doing it. What security manager told me is really funny if you see somebody jumping off a cliff, are you gonna do that too? I said why not and he mad at me and he start threating me that if you cannot follow the mall rules, we gonna put you on trespassing list and you will not allow to work in this mall anymore. read more

I've been coming to Stonewood for 20 years now and its just gets worse and worse every time I go. Might as well go shopping in South Gate or H.P. Lots of stores closing and my kids won't even go in the play area. It smells and they took out most of the play equipment.
