There is one kid that's that's there that he is so snobby it's insane. Never had good advise. Go next door to West Laramie Fly Shop. It's in the gas station next door and ask for Mason and Luke they will put you on fish and flys are $1-2. All the gear is half the price and they are welcoming as they come. This was the only option available because it was September and water levels were too low for the other higher class trips. Regardless, we had a blast and our guide Keagan was amazing. After checking in at the office, it was about a 20-25 minute van ride to the launch site. After going through safety instructions, we were on our way down the river. It was a really mellow section with very little actual "whitewater rafting", and more of a float. Keagan was spitting off facts and talking to everyone the whole time which was great. Very informative and personable. Along the way we stopped at a natural hot spring and everyone got out of the rafts and "warmed up" in the warm water. Right after that, we hopped back in the rafts and floated just a little further down to a cliff jumping spot. I can't remember how high it was (approx 40-50ft?) but 5 of us did it. Keagan jumped too, and gave us all instructions on jumping safely. After that the trip wrapped up pretty quickly, loaded everything into the van and headed back. It was a great trip and I'm happy we chose them over some of the larger companies. We always like to support small business when possible. Yes, I would highly recommend using Adventures in Whitewater for your next rafting trip in CO.

The ride went smooth and we were able to hit class III and IV rapids on Clear Creek for about 13 miles! It was affordable and great for the whole family. They do offer easier rapid trip for the youngsters. They also offer day trips, or half days in the morning or afternoon. When I return to Colorado, I will definitely go through this group again!

The shop outfitted 15 of us easily with boots, waders, rods, reels, and bait. A hearty lunch of sandwiches, chips, pickles and cookies was provided. We were split into groups of 2-3, and then off to our fishing location for the day. Luke was an incredible guide! He gave helpful instructions, was great to chat with, and kept the day exciting and informative. My coworker and I both caught multiple rainbows, browns, and white fish throughout the day and had the absolute best experience! Such a beautiful property we were treated to. Picnic Rock Natural Area is a short jaunt up the Poudre River right outside of Bellvue. Very…read morepopular for (you guessed it) picnics, it's also a fantastic spot to go fishing, or take a relaxing float when the river isn't raging. We headed up on a Monday afternoon, right before they closed the area due to Coronavirus, to enjoy a long afternoon of slapping the water. It was a little chilly, and for the first time in my history of heading up to that area, we were the only ones around. During summer, the parking lot fills up and overflows, and there are families everywhere, so the edge of winter is a good time to get some peace and quiet. There are plenty of open and deep spots to throw in your line, as well as some nice currents where the trout hang out waiting for the bugs to sweep over the rocks - we had success with the dry flies, even though it was the middle of the day. My favorite part is hanging up the hammock and relaxing in the sun, enjoying the sound of the burbling water with a craft brew in hand. After catching at least one fish, of course.

This park also has big soccer fields and a separate fenced in dog play area in far right corner. The best part for me is that it connects to the Poudre river trail. Being a cycling enthusiast, I found that this park allows easy access to this great trail. The pavilion also has full restrooms with running water and drinking fountains.

It's like force feeding a baby. Either the fish are naturally there or it just feels strange. Anyhow, I am a pretty good fisherman and I didn't catch a single thing for the first 5 hours or so that my siblings and I were there. All was quiet and none of us had any action on our lines and I started to wonder if they actually did stock the lake or if they just said that lol. Anyhow, I finally had a bite on my line and caught one, although I broke my brand new fishing pole in the process. I was underestimating the size of the rainbow trout and ended up with the wrong size line. Overall, I had fun but definitely not the place to go if your main focus is to catch fish. What it lacks in fish it makes up for in peace and serenity. It would be a great place to meditate!

They have everything you need and it's so easy to just walk out and start fishing some stocked rainbows. The staff were super friendly and helpful. My gf and I visited on a very cold, windy February morning when they opened. It ended up just being the two of us on the ice and this was our first experience ice fishing (and it won't be our last). We had an amazing time and spent an hour exploring the different holes in the ice. The fish were hungry and I realized there was an absolute MONSTER rainbow in there. I was trying so hard to catch it. I hooked him up 3 different times and each time, it broke the line (I'm thinking the knots tied weren't legit fisherman's knots but whatever). I was obsessed trying to catch that massive fish but didn't come away with it. Still caught a personal best at 16'' while my bucket of fish and gear was blowing across the ice due to the wind. Everything is catch and keep, no releasing, so all fish will be brought back into the hut to be prepared. They'll clean the fish for you and if you aren't ready to take any fish filets with you, they'll happily donate them to people in need. Highly recommend visiting for beginners. Also recommend for experienced anglers who want a relaxed, fun environment. I WILL BE BACK TO CATCH THAT MONSTER.
