There are a few spots that we got stuck but it's part of the entertainment. This was the 1st time we've been here even though we grew up and have lived less than 10miles from here our entire lives. The folks running the show weren't very friendly but maybe they were having a bad day. I did enjoy the peaceful float down the river and then we dropped by Corwin and had lunch and ice cream.

But it was actually pretty relaxing and didn't notice how fast the time was passing. I also GREATLY appreciated the fact that they sold waterproof gear on site. Shoes, containers, phone bags...etc. I happen to forget my waterproof pouch for my phone and had a thought, "Oh, it'll be fine...I won't tip..." Brookville Lake is our home lake. We live 35 minutes away and we own a boat so we spend a lot of…read moretime here. The lake itself is a little more than 5,000 Acres which is then surrounded by about 11,000 Acres of woods and picnic areas. Our main focus is fishing it is what we love to do. We were able to get out fishing about a week ago as the weather had turned nice. In the summer months the lake does get pretty busy with boaters and skiers. The first time this year we got out and caught 19 crappie and one catfish. That lake is full of catfish. We catch enough fish in the lake over the course of the fishing season to feed our family and extended family for the year. You can also find campgrounds here and you can reserve them through the Indiana DNR website. There are also hiking trails through the woods. Plenty to do if you want to get away for a week or a weekend.

went yesterday to try out new nikon camera and having trouble getting it to work went looking for…read morebirds ... heard there were some at brookeville lake but actually found more at white water state park. but no were close or easy to photography. at brookeville lake i saw some big birds up in a next on electric poles .. not sure if there were eagles or osprey. didn't get great pic or look but there were 2 nests. didn't see the cranes or white pelicans here. it was grey cold windy day. so light wasnt ideal.

Bathrooms were clean if not extensive although stall door missing a lock. Beach was clean and grass mown so no drama there. There are accessible paved trails that go close to the beach and up from the beach into the woods so older adults and mobility assisted people can participate fairly easily. Definitely just a small snap shot on an event day but it worked for us to come in and out for the morning from two hours drive away.

Canoeing is one sport that I don't think enough people attempt. I wish the weather permitted…read morecanoeing more often. It's fun, it can be relaxing, you can go with friends or family and thanks to Morgan's Canoe, it's affordable and stress-free to plan. Morgan's Canoe is located about 30-40 minutes north of Cincinnati in Morrow,OH along the Little Miami River. They offer a range of options for recreational canoe fun. You decide how long you wish to canoe by choosing one of the stopping points created by Morgan's Canoe. There is one at about 3 miles or you can go for up to 18 miles. Wherever you decide to stop and head back, Morgan's Canoe has buses that go from stop to stop to pick up canoers to take them back to the main lodge. If you want to make a bigger experience or a weekend of it, you can opt to camp out along the river. I have never done this but it looks like so much fun. The first time I went, I opted for the 6 mile trip. They informed me that it would take anywhere from 1 1/2-3 hours. It ended up taking me the entire 3 hours because I stopped several times to relax and enjoy the scenery. Although I took a bunch of friends, there were several families and young children there as well. It really is for anyone. Even though they aren't needed, they provide life jackets for any size. The water is pretty shallow but there are a lot of turns and sections that dead-end. We found this out the hard way, but if you can laugh at yourself, you'll actually find it pretty funny instead of stressful. We had so much fun when we went last year that we have already planned another one for this year. I have already reserved our canoes! Don't forget to wear your sunscreen! I found this out the hard way too!

It was my first time at Morgan's in Brookville and it was spectacular. We did the 5 mile trip and it only took is 3 hours to complete. The people there are very good explaining everything and their equipment is superb! Make sure you do the upgrade for the "plastic" canoes, worth it after seeing people struggle with their aluminum ones the rivers. Their set-up is awesome, at the end they are waiting for you with a bus to bring you back to the start. There facility is super nice.... the restrooms could use some TLC, but not a big deal.

Met Morgan himself, such a nice fella, explained to us the diff kinds of canoes and pricing. We didn't put our valuable stuff like phones, wallet and food in a waterproof pouch or ziplog bag since we didn't think we'd flip (how hard is it to canoe, right?) But we did...our phones were donezo, sandals and sandwiches floated away, at the end of the day, we were barefeet and hangry. IN allows beer on the river so bring some and enjoy a nice refreshing adult beverage out on the water! Will definitely be back for some more canoeing or kayaking in the future!

It's only a par 3 but it is beautiful and very well maintained 6.) plenty of shelters for picnics and for a small fee you can reserve them. A horrible experience! I went to watch my daughter's softball game on what turned into a night full…read moreof lightning delays. The poor experience began at the admission gate with a most rude man who refused to answer questions about the status of the games. After waiting an hour from lightning delays I decided to return to my car to wait the delay out. When I asked for the re-entry band they accused me of sneaking in. They yelled and carried on as they insisted I wasn't being forthright. I am still upset!​​
