My AAA - freakin useless, my liberty mutual roadside - useless, called every tow company, tire shop and roadside service in eastern Iowa, and in Illinois... not like we were in the middle of nowhere. Found one roadside that would bring a spare tire but they wanted $1,000 card hold..... We spoke to 30+ different places within that hour... Tires24 was literally the only place somewhat on the way that was open late. Someone answered right away, the guy on phone was patient and nice, assured us he would take us, even though we couldn't get there until right before closing because we had to drive below speed limit on the donut. When we got there, Lamont (the gentleman working) greeted us and understood and sympathized with our stressful trip there. He replaced the tire efficiently and was super professional and welcoming. The cost was surprisingly affordable, we weren't there very long at all which was great because we were exhausted. Lamont saved our asses and we highly recommend anyone in the NW illinois area call these guys first for tire and auto issues.

The engine itself only cost $2,500-$3000, so this company was attempting to charge me $10,000+ in labor and taxes. I have the estimate as proof! I called prior to going, having never been to this establishment, and spoke with the owner, Mark. He was friendly and informative; he honestly just gave me a good vibe from the get go. He said no appointment was needed, just come on through. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Mark and his employee, Kevin. There was no wait to get my car in, like Mark had said over the phone, and Kevin began working on my tire almost immediately. They let me watch everything that was happening (I like to see the process out of curiousity) and just stand right there in the garage with them. (I should note here that I was completely safe and was in a cleared out area next to my vehicle) They told me that the tire that had blown out had "wear" on a specific place that suggested it had been aligned wrong previously. Scott's U-Save; see my review on that joke of an establishment) It took maybe 15 minutes to finish the job but I ended up staying there for about 20 minutes afterwards just talking and joking around with them like we were close friends.
