First visit here, looking for a new vet. Very nice staff. Attentive, caring, and seemed qualified.

Dr. Young is great! She is so caring with each animal and human customer! She clearly explains each option and how it will affect the animal and offers an estimate of the cost to the owner. She has helped us keep family friends, (pets) for a little longer and then given us sound professional, compassionate advice as to end of life issues. She has also saved the life of our daughters cat! read more

I was there today as a repeat customer with a sick pup. My concern is that I didn't think my pup could survive until payday. It was a slow day for them but they refused any assistance since I couldn't pay up front. I'm not going back there again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE !!! PARVOOO!!! They have our new puppy PARVO he was a healthy dog for 3 weeks with us , and over all healthy his 9 weeks of life , I took him in a cage to this vet , the doctor did NOT wear gloves or any other protective gear . (As he talked about all the dogs he handles every day) he gave our puppy shots, I put him back in the cage and left. He was not exposed to any thing new then what he had the past 3 weeks . 6 days later our puppy was throwing up , pooping yellow, not eating and declining fast. I called the vet and they told e it sounded like he ate something that upset his stomach, I trusted their judgement THEY said wait it out 48 more hours . Not knowing SHE WAS ONLY A RECEPTIONIST . The following day he was had to be rushed to med vet ER , and that night our 9 week old puppy had to be put to sleep because he was just to far gone to save and was just so weak he just looked up at us with sad eyes . The happy puppy was gone. They have him about a 15 % chance even with admission and they said it would be horrible for him with the same result in the end . Monday morning I tried calling to notify stony ridge what happened, and they kept telling me they would call me when the doctor came in at 11. Somewhere around 5 I finally got a call from the male doctor and he was so rude , he tried to find every way to blame us , or the puppy for him getting parvo. And when I disproved each one the more pissed he got and blaming me . He asked me if I knew how it spread it i said yes through contact with other dogs and infected areas he then said no your wrong it's only through infected poop. And then when I made it clear he wasn't around any other dog poop he then said oh well it could live in your yard for a life time. So pretty much claiming it's my fault where I live (he has no idea where I live -_-) Needless to say I called to inform them their clinic is infected and he is spreading it . Never did I ask for him to pay 100s in medical bills from med vet , never did I threaten anything . But immediately he became defensive from the very moment I talk to him talking about how court documents will hold up regarding why the dog was put to sleep (because I chose instead of spending 1000s $ for him to suffer and still die , I put him to sleep) and because I made the that choice it's all my fault he died . And to top it off. When he couldn't find a way to blame me , he then accused me of lying about calling Saturday for advice and what to do. Saying his people know better, and pretty much calling me a liar, including asking his people who claim they do not recall ever talking to me ... UNTIL I sent screen shots of the call in my phone, the time it lasted and the time I told him I called . Then he no longer had anything to say nor replied . Just because the clinic doesn't smell like dog shit doesn't mean it's clean or safe . I will never step foot into that place again . They are mean , rude and unsafe I worry for the animals he may operate on with his contaminated hands!!!! (P.s. they didn't even have their paper work correct for my 6 year old dog , they claimed he was 2 years late on boosters , when I clearly have paper work stating he is up to date and when he is due . I wonder also how many animals get over vaccinated there) read more

This is the best care available for anyone's pets! Dr. Young has been caring for my collie for six years. He has a seizure disorder, which she has under control. Further, he recently became unresponsive and deathly ill, and Dr. Young saved his life. I trust her completely. If she says it needs to be done for the animal, then that is the absolute truth. She gives advice from the perspective of a veterinarian as well as a pet owner. Furthermore, the staff members are helpful, considerate and extremely diligent. I took my chinchilla here today for an inner ear infection. This was our first experience with Stonyridge Vet, and I was so pleased with our experience. Dr. Young greeted us at the door and we received service right away. She was very caring and explained the treatment clearly, and then even explained further steps that we could take if this medicine didn't work. She had a really great understanding of chinchillas and even said that they will even call tomorrow to see how mine is doing. I was just glad to find a vet who treats exotic animals at first, but now I'm even happier now that we've found a really great vet. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I went in Friday morning to get my dogs some flea treatment. I waited for a little bit and I was fine with that because I understood they were busy. Once the reception lady ask want she could help me I told that I called and I needed flea treatment for my dogs. Well, as soon as I said I called she got really rude with me and said well, I don't know what you need I didn't talk to you on the phone. So she wasn't willing to help me and tell me what was available. Another worker was walking by and told her what it was called. So then she type everything in the computer and didn't ask did I need anything else which I did. She was very short with her answers and rude the whole time. So with saying this if I can help from ever taking my dogs there or buying from them again I won't. I have called and talked to a few of the ladies before and they have never been rude to me like she was. I'm sorry but I will take my business else where. read more

Stonyridge is a great place to go as long as you don't owe them money. I took my dog in today and was informed out loud in front of another customer that I owed a balance and that my dog was not to be seen until the balance was paid. When I walked back in to ask if I could post date a check, I over heard the receptionist joking and laughing about me with the other veterinarians and nurses about my appointment being cancelled because I didn't pay a previous balance. I heard one of them exclaim "THEN SEE YA!" As I was standing there waiting to ask if I could pay the balance so my sick animal could be seen. I then asked the receptionist if I could talk to her as she walked back to where the veterinarians were sitting and whispered "she's back." Needless to say, I was turned down once again and was told I could not bring my pets there until the bill was paid in full. I admit that I did owe a balance, however, I was treated very rudely and talked about as I left. Don't be surprised if they joke and say things about you as soon as you leave. I will never bring my pets there again. read more
