Bbq was GREAT... First Gentleman who waited on us said it was on special and it was topped with slaw... first waiter, never returned to our table , ww were replaced with a waitress. We ordered and I mentioned the slaw on top, she instead gave it to just myself on the side, which I was charged extra for... I went ahead and shared the slaw with my friend, when the bill came the waitress shorted me 10 dollars to boot....I guess she just took her own tip... I double checked the menu, menu clearly described slaw on top of BBQ sandwich...DJ was friendly however. If you enjoy karaoke you will really enjoy this bar. It has a great selection of songs and the sound system is fantastic ! The DJ is very good and his voice is amazing. There is a full bar and their onion rings were tasty. The only downside is they allow smokers and the pollution is very irritating to your eyes and throat. Lots of free parking and ample seating. Karaoke Hero Live! Karaoke! Yeah! That's how amped I was when I walked in fully intending on doing some karaoke with some old friends who already know that I can't sing. We had our libation-induced courage on and we were ready to belt out some old-school tunes and damned whoever was listening! To Stooges we go, and at first I walked in and thought I was listening to the radio. But no, it was a young guy singing some Garth Brooks song I'd never heard before but was so beautiful that I teared up a little. We sat down to watch him finish, fully expecting for some talent of our caliber (the low kind) to follow. A girl got on stage and tore the house down with another song that I'd never heard (but everyone else was singing along to). And so it went, a whole string of amazing singers at this Karaoke bar. Wow! Needless to say we didn't sing, but we did have a few drinks, grab some food and watch the entertainment. I don't know if it's always like that, but Wow! If so, I got to find a new place where I can sing badly. read more

Beware if you fear second hand smoke. This place is thick with smoke. You can almost swim through the air from the front door to the bar. It's bad. It's dark. And I like it. This is where you want to be if you feel the need to see a train wreck or two. Every time I've been there, I've seen countless people drink a bit too much here which gives them enough courage to do what this place is really known for- Karaoke. It's an awesome sight to behold. This place has a huge book of songs to choose from. From old school rock, rap, and country to recent hits. And the bar serves cheap enough drinks to fuel the courage of many those who need it to step onto the stage. This place isn't glamorous. Cinder block walls, inflatable beer swag decorations, and plenty of TVs showing whatever sporting event that may be going on that night. The bathrooms are sketchy; if you drop something in there I'd advise you to leave it. I have yet to order food there but from what I've seen you have your typical bar fare; fries, burgers, and sandwiches. If you're looking for a place to sing or watch people attempt to sing (don't get me wrong, there are the occasional good singers that show up), this is a great place to come to. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! Aside from loving the owner, I love stooges. They have such a cheap drink menu, even if it's not happy hour. They have a really good music selection and karaoke is so much fun. The food here is also AMAZING! You definitely can't go wrong with anything on their menu. The chicken wings and fries are my favorite but their burgers are also great too. Everything is decently priced so it's normally my go to place when I'm hungry or want a simple drink. I was so disappointed in the service I received last night because, usually, everything is great at Stooge's. The server was rude, and so were the bartenders. When I complained about the server's rude comments, I was told, "we've just had a rough day today." So, because their earlier crowd gave them a rough evening, I have to be punished for it later that night?? Seems like an awful way to handle business. I asked for the server's name and the bartenders' names (there were 2), and they suddenly couldn't provide that information. The bar manager told me all she could recommend was that I return the next day (today) between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to complain to the owners. Piss-poor service, like I stated before, and I will not be patronizing this place ever again. read more

I had the philly cheesesteak and a couple of beers. Food wasn't bad and the beers were refreshing. The employees were very friendly and made sure to ask you your name and treat you like family. This joint just sucks. It is the epidemy of a dive bar. Don't get me wrong, I like an occasional dive bar, but this place takes it to a different level. It's located in a dimly lit, run down little shopping center way off the beaten path, and the whole area just makes you want to look over your shoulder for muggers. I popped in there with a friend one Tuesday night and was pretty surprised to see this is a smoking establishment. I smoke when I drink, but there is no ventilation in the place. You open the front door and it looks like a Cheech and Chong movie is going on. The room is way too dark even for a bar, and everything is just dirty, falling apart, or needs a paint job. I sat at the bar for over five minutes before anyone so much as greeted me, and it wasn't even busy. The bartender was friendly, but I already had a bad taste in my mouth about the place. Looking around, the clientele were nothing but low-lives. I drank my Yuengling, used the absolutely filthy mensroom (and thoroughly washed my hands), and took off. Never going back there. Dive bar in an unapologetic and awesome manner, not much on draft but had a great time. Actually a pretty great lunch menu, I had a volcano burger which was everything hot or spicy they could find in the kitchen rolled into a patty and I loved it. Tip:. So I really want to give this place a 3 star rating, but I just can't bring myself to do it. There were really three things that stuck out in my mind about the joint: It is a heavy smoker's bar. I grew up going to Spain and I've never gotten quite the high from second hand smoke as I did this night. The Song list was HUGE, like SUPER DUPER HUGE, and there were obscure things there, yet I could only find 3 songs in the list that worked for me when I normally find at least 5 in a list a quarter the size. It's like having 1000 channels and there's nothing good on TV. Something was off with the speakers, or the microphone, or something. At first I thought, "man, if this is what I normally sound like how do my friends and other people cheer me on as I go out for Karaoke every week?" and then I noticed that everyone sounded a bit off the same way. I spoke up, the KJ thought that I just needed to belt it out more, she fiddled with the sound a bit, and it sounded better, but it still wasn't quite on. For the bar: Pretty standard. Too large to be called a dive bar, has pool tables and a small dance floor. Has it's own group of standard/local drunks that come in quite often and it seems like a bar that everyone knows everyone. If you're a smoker, want something low key with some Karaoke here and there, this could be your place...it just isn't mine. read more

The very saying "Stay a while, and listen" was coined at this house of the Siren's call. As time immemorial tells us the Japanese art form of Karaoke first graced the shores of this fine nation at Stooges and was perfected by its patrons. The reason that the Karaoke is so awesome is because they have the highest quality components in the system. It is the only system in town assembled by an actual audio engineer. I have noticed some of the other singers saying that they never sounded that good singing anywhere else. Also, their rotation policy is strictly enforced.
