I'd been told by several people that acupuncture might not work, but it wouldn't hurt me. But it did hurt me. On my third visit to Zhao something went wrong and when I left the lower part of my face was quite numb. This got worse. Zhao said she couldn't understand what had happened, and that nothing like this had happened before. The numbness moved to the left side of my face and left side of my mouth. It continues now, two months after the session that caused it. I have seen a neurologist, who said it might go away, or it might not. To anyone considering acupuncture, my advice would be to think hard about it--it can damage you. To anyone considering seeing Xingning Zhao, I would say, Don't.

The service from the lead compounding pharmacist (and everybody else I have spoken with) has been stellar; I feel comfortable that he knows what he is doing. He has gone out of his way to make sure I am happy with the final product. I really appreciate it as it is a rare medicine for a rare disorder and few compounding pharmacies want to work with it. You can pick up in the store, go thru the drive thru, or have your meds shipped (and shipping is very affordable, only $4 for 2-3 day). My sister is no longer with us but her final days were filled with the love of SugarHill. The parade of staff requesting to come in to say goodbye to my sister was incredibly moving. At the end, as we waited for the hospice nurse to arrive, two staff members came in and invited by nieces and me us to stay and have dinner in their private dining room. We didn't take them up on it but the gesture was just more instance of the love we felt while my sister was under their care. The friendly and caring staff have done an amazing job helping someone who was becoming more and more solitary turn back into his social and engaging true self through their robust activity programming. I especially love the fact that he was able to bring in all of his own furniture, paintings, etc. to make his apartment actually feel like home. The food is also outstanding and can be enjoyed in a gorgeous formal dining area in the original mansion. In addition, she took a full relevant medical history (under HIPPAA privacy rules) and explained carefully what acupuncture could do for me. But the absolute best is that I had a fast result! I was also having physical therapy at another location. The therapist remarked that I had the fastest recovery for my ailment of any patient he had every seen.
