This cashier was rude just because I was getting my bag ready. She just told me "patience"! Like what the hell! It's not my fault she's slow. I just hate the way she spoke to me like that. I don't mind shopping here BUT when you spend $130 and your cart is full and you walk out to your car that isn't that far away and your cart stops dead !!!!!!!!! So you have to try and dragggggg it to the car and you can't , so grab what you can and hope no one steals you grocery's not the safest place to shop at night ... it's happen a few times and i'm sick of it !! I parked like two cars down in front . yesterday I had to help this pregnant lady with her grocery's because her cart STOPPED in the middle of the road and she wasn't that far . Given it's in such a convenient location it's a shame this is such a terrible store. They are never fully stocked and hardly staffed - with one register open that isn't self scan. In my most recent visit, they had no cold cuts, very little produce and half of the self-checkouts were closed/broken. The woman in line before me decided not to pay for her groceries, and when I got to the checkout I let the employee know there was someone else's order there. Immediately the employee walked away, leaving me unable to purchase my groceries. No explanation of where she was going, or what she was doing, just walked away. After several minutes I decided to do what I should have done in the first place: I abandoned my cart and went to Market Basket. No wonder there are so many locations closing - they are poorly managed. read more

So I didn't give this place a bad review last time when I stopped going to shop here because of the strict rules and regulations which made me feel like they were going to put me on a freight train to a gas chamber trying to make me walk up and down aisles in one direction only. Fast forward to today. I only purchased seven items. They have 17 check out registers. Only 1 had a cashier. Needless to say it took me 15 minutes to put my items on the conveyor belt taking into consideration they were only six people in the store. The cashier did her job correctly. The bagger decided to put four items in one bag and then in the second bag decided to put my 2 dozen eggs in the same bag with a 5 pound bag of flour. For a moment I couldn't believe I actually saw that a 5 pound bag of flour was added to a bag with two dozen eggs. So I stated "you've got to be freaking kidding, me you're putting a 5 pound bag of flour in with eggs?" The response was just as stupid and unbelievable as the actual act. The bagger responds with " I put the flour next to the eggs" I responded with yes that's the problem. The bagger looked at me with a stupid blank expression as if I was the one that has no brain. The worst part about it is the cashier just stood there watching as I unpack the flour and put it in the other bag with the other four items. Now the worst part, the floor manager was sitting there gabbing with two other employees instead of having someone else at a register having a good old party, he actually saw and heard the entire transaction and didn't state a word to the bagger or to me. A one star review is too good for this supermarket. This place is an absolute zero. I can't even believe they're still in business. I assume they will be closing within the next six months to a year because the parking lot is always empty and now I know why. I give Stop & Shop (this location). Definately Zero Stars. read more

The area is active and awake. It's located at the corner of a rotary entrance connecting to a highway and multiple side-streets. It's located on the side of a giant parking lot with plenty of space. The parking area was clean coming into the entrance. Everything is very well-lit from parking lot lights, to signs and entrance. There was a big Grand Reopening banner along the side of the exterior wall. The entrance was clear, with plenty of carts and accessible hand-sanitized tissues out of a pull-dispenser promoting clean safety precautions for Covid-19 which is appreciated. The service was fast, friendly and accurate from the greetings of employees filling shelves, collecting shopping-carts and ringing out in line. Everyone was masked and taking appropriate social distancing measures but remained friendly and calm. There were employees visible in most of the aisles and easy to understand signage made the shopping experience simple. All the aisles were very-well stocked with plenty of selections from fresh bakery items to snacks. The cashier on purchase greeted with a friendly opening and offered a bag even though there was only two items. Excellent service and productive crew! I went in there intentionally looking for a different holiday related snack for my tastebuds. Upon entering, right in the main aisle I found a big reflective blue bag of Utz White Cheddar Cheese Snowballs with holiday decals that grabbed my attention and hit an unknown craving spot of curiosity. From there, I went to one of the mini-refrigerators in front of a register and grabbed a 13.7 oz. Starbucks Frappuccino Chilled Coffee Drink, that was equally decked out for the holidays with interesting bottle packaging. The two just looked like a pair. The white cheddar cheese balls were tasty and really brought the cheese taste without over-doing it's welcome to your palette. The Starbucks Frappuccino added a refreshing cold holiday taste to the mix in between bites and sips. In total, it was just above $6. Good selection for a light holiday snack. I've come here many times over the years and will continue to as well as recommend to friends, family and others. It's a convenient and clean grocery store with wide selections and plenty of added features for customers including movies for rent, bakery, hot foods and prepped bundles. I visted the Stop N Shop in Revere MA on Friday, October 28, 2022 and it was very alarming on what I witnessed. I believe they were doing some sort of costume party for Halloween because other associates were dressed up, but this one employee in particular who works in the front end with the purple hair was wearing an inappropriate costume. It was a crop top that revealed her big belly and it was very disturbing and gross. Her top was too scandalous for my kid to see. I feel bad for other associates who have to work with her and customers who witnessed this. I do not feel comfortable bringing my kid in the store when this girl is around, it was very gross. Other than that. I had a great shopping experience and found everything I needed. I haven't visited the store since. read more

Visited this Stop and Shop around 4:15 on Saturday November 13 to purchase a couple of small and quick items. Went to self-checkout and the register we were checking out at started flashing for assistance. We waited and waited and no one came over. I finally walked over to the red-haired woman in her Stop and Shop shirt standing with her head down and her mask below her chin at the register at the end of the self-checkout and said "Could you please help us over at #5?). She didn't even look up or acknowledge me, so I continued to stand there hoping she would realize I was there. A few minutes later she looked up and a register in front of her was also flashing for assistance and she walked past me and said "I have to help them" and walked over to the people at that self-checkout spot. I went back over to stand by our spot, expecting that she'd come there next, but she never did. We watched her help the other people, then go back to her register and continue to keep her head down. Very frustrated at this point after just trying to make a quick purchase, we decided to just pick up and go to a manned register. Once there, we were checking out with a very kind young man and young woman and we explained that we tried to do self-checkout but couldn't get any help. They happily and easily checked us out. While they were doing so, this woman from self-checkout, Linda, came over with a receipt asking us if we had tried using the self-checkout and I said yes, but we didn't get any help, so we're done there and checking out over here instead. She was upset and told the man and woman working the register that she'd have to teach them how to void everything, then barging in front of them to punch something into the computer (see photos). The whole time never making eye contact with either of us. The sweet young woman who was helping us check out told Linda that we were upset with the service we hadn't received and Linda says, very clearly, in front of us "I don't f-ing care, let them complain." I am absolutely disgusted by this woman's behavior and attitude. Someone like this should not even work anywhere she needs to deal with the public. It's embarrassing to Stop and Shop and to anyone having to deal with her. I truly am unclear why she made no effort to assist us with the one simple item that was causing the light to flash and ask for assistance, but I feel as though it could've been homophobia since it was my girlfriend and I and we had been holding hands as we walked to the check-out. This woman, Linda, should at the very least be reprimanded and maybe forced to work elsewhere where she doesn't bring embarrassment and shame to a company. She should also be taught how to wear a mask properly. read more

ello. I went to the store a few weeks and and been meaning to write a very positive review. I want to the bakery to get a cake. And they cake decorator I believe her name was Debbie she did such a wonderful job . The cake was absolutely amazing and delicious. She really puts her heart into it. Also I did see another employee. I couldn't catch his name. But he was making cookies. I have tired the cookies here before and they were super good. I was trying ti find a certain bagel and the nice young man that was doing the cookies helped me find it. Durning another visit I also needed helping finding a bakery item. And this girl Layla I think that's how you spell it. She's helped me as well. The bakery staff is super friendly I hope the manger see this. And made the staff now there work is truly appreciated. And I'll be telling my friends. If they r in the area to stop by. I do live a little farther away. But I'll try to stop by again. I just happened to be in the area when I needed the cake. One of the worst grocery stores I've ever been to. Their produce is borderline horrifying. If you go later in the day, most of what's left is downright gross. One time I went looking for bell peppers only to find almost all of them on the verge of rotting. On one occasion, I lifted up a mango to see a little bug scramble away. Lots of expired food. I bought a frozen pizza once, brought it home, then realized it had been expired for over 7 months. 7 months!! I took it back and the customer service said I could go replace it with a fresh one. I walk back to the frozen pizza section, and start looking though the stack of that kind of pizza. Literally every single one of them was expired. There must have been 10-15 in the stack. I didn't check the other kinds of pizza, but I'd imagine they had the same fate. I ended up having to get a sightly more expensive frozen pizza, since all of the others were expired, and the cashier had the gall to charge me the difference of less than a dollar. I brought them the stack of expired pizzas and they barely seemed to care. The checkout lines get absurd. I don't think I've ever seen more than 2 or 3 lanes open at once. Save your sanity and your health, shop somewhere else. read more

Came here to get some lunch during my break. Saw they had this deal called the 8 dollar combo at the deli department for a salad, drink and chips for 8$. A little expensive for what it was but whatever, I didnt have the time to consider other options. I went to ring it up and normally after you put pay total, the price would reflect the discounts by deducting it from the total. It didnt do it this time. I called for a clerk to come help and the clerk comes up and tells me that that particular salad isnt part of the promotion. I pointed to the sticker on it that says otherwise (8 dollar combo meal sticker) and she said she doesn't know and walks away. Basically I paid full price for it bc I already wasted too much time considering and deciding on this to get something else on my lunch break. This seems to happen ALL THE TIME at any stop and shop location. They'll have "promotions" or "deals" that never seem to pan out and you're left getting screwed over. Other locations have their stickers for sale items underneath other items that aren't for sale to screw you over. I swear they do this shit on purpose. It really should be illegal to deceive their customers but they dont care. I really do hate shopping at these stores but sometimes I really have no other options time wise. People please stick to Market Basket. I hope one day they put stop and shop out of business. I've never been conned by Market Basket and they always are transparent with their pricing and sale adverts. No wonder this location has such a horrible score. read more

We have been shopping at this store on a weekly basis since it opened. I realize that there is a shortage of employees, however I think some retraining may be necessary for a cashier named Eidalia. My husband always helps with bagging when the cashier is working alone. As he was bagging, she just kept scanning and letting the groceries pile up. Bread and eggs getting crushed by canned goods. When she finished scanning and I paid, there was no "thank you" or any acknowledgement. She then started to bag, putting food with chemicals. She stopped with some of our groceries still sitting in the bagging area and started to wait on the next customer. My husband nearly left all of the groceries he was so upset with her attitude. I don't think that a little customer service is a lot to ask of a business, do you? read more

Recently they began to "update my shopping expierience".This consists of moving items to different aisles ,which makes things difficult to find.This does not seem like the best way to attract customers. I have a love for this Stop & Shop. There are what seems like a million of these stores in the neighborhood, but this one comes out on top. First, the parking is easier than the other stores, just swing over and park to the right of the building and you're in and out in no time. Second, and my favorite part, they have the grocery scanners when you walk in the door. This makes grocery shopping like a million times easier and so much quicker, as while you shop you just scan and bag. No more fighting with the scanner at check out! I love it, makes me dread shopping a little. Lastly, they always seem to have what I'm looking for. I know that doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary, but the S&S in Everett never has anything I want. It's so bad that at this point I refuse to go there if I can avoid it. So in an area swamped by grocery stores, this one wins the title of my favorite! Look out S&S in Everett, there may be a low star review in your future. read more

You want to attract wealthier customers, carry more of the products they want instead of hiding the section in the corner. Normally I avoid Stop and Shop because I consider some of their prices to be just outrageous. I can get double the food for the same price at other places. When I feel like having crab legs or fresh fish and I dont feel like going all the way across the Earth I go here. The fish guys here are very nice and friendly even when i am being totally indecisive which is like 90% of the time. The store is really clean, the salad bar is great, and the prepared foods do not look as if they have been sitting there for centuries. I typically go to this store and it's really not a bad store but the problem with this store is the Bakery. I don't know when the bakery person is there but assume it's during the day, the weekdays. Which is fine and I can understand this, however, if you arrive at 6 pm or on a Sunday and want to buy a cake and get something written on it - it's just not going to happen!!! Ask the service desk to call someone who can write on a cake and they tell you in a very matter of fact way - we don't have anyone that can write on the cake for you, the bakery section is closed. Really?!!!! So had to spend an additional $4 to get that silly gel. Bottom line - if I need a cake going forward, I will not be going there for one. read more

Considering how much I hate northern grocery stores (oh Publix, I miss you) this location of S&S really isn't too bad. The employees could ALL have better attitudes and could be more polite. I can't tell you how many times an employee has walked in across my path and just expected me to stop dead in my tracks. Or how many times I've seen them goofing off or talking on cell phones. Most of the cashiers are very friendly, though occasionally they forget to ask for the S&S card and you have to go up to customer service to get the discounts refunded. The produce here isn't bad... better than Shaw's at least. The deli guys do a good job, the seafood is decent (fresh food, not the pre-prepared meals or sushi, haven't tried those), and the bakery is so-so (though the ciabatta is great). The S&S down 60 in Malden has a full alcohol selection which makes it more likely that I'll drive a little further, so I can grab a bottle of wine. They also tend to have a better selection of items I usually buy. read more

To whom it may concern, I have never been so disappointed by a grocery store in my life. Last night, 12/18/15, I visited this Stop and Shop to pick up just a few items at 10:50pm. I was fully aware that the store closed at 11:00pm beforehand. The second I walked in the door I was told by the manager that the store closed in about 5 minutes. I walked over to the deli and was told that I could not be served because it was too late and that I had to sift through shelf pre-packaged deli to get what I wanted. All I wanted was 3 deli items and I don't think that 10 minutes is insufficient amount of time to serve a customer. When I was picking up my last item as of 10:58pm, the manager was harassing me, running from aisle to aisle saying, "You have to get out," and telling other employees to stop assisting customers. The manager of the store was rushing me and was extremely disrespectful saying things such as, "you should of came earlier." Well no offense, but if I was served correctly in the first place then I would not of been in that predicament. It was clear that the manager's main focus was to rush me out of the store, than to offer me assistance. A store manager or any employee is supposed to be a representation of the brand and this manager, I believe his name was Michael McQuaid, did an awful job. There are many people whom are better fit to be in that position than he is. Without customers, Stop and Shop would not be in business and it doesn't matter that my transaction was less than $10, it was clear that I was not his or Stop and Shop's first priority and I believe that a large corporation like Stop and Shop loses sight of it's responsibility which is to serve the customer at the end of the day. This store is not my favorite. Before my last visit I would have given it no stars. The people that work there just don't go out if their way for anyone or thing. The exception an employee named Shaun. My last visit was to shop for stuff needed to make calzones for a party. Was on a tight schedule got home and everything I bought for the calzones weren't there. Called and was told to go down and get replacements I was racing against the clock saw a very nice girl at customer service who told me to get the things I had checked off that I didn't receive. I knew I was in trouble because I would have to wait in line again with a number at the cold cut counter. Saw a young boy behind the prepared food counter and explained my time issue and without a thought he said tell me what u need and I'll get it. He saved the day for me. The nicest person I have ever met there and I have been going to that store for years. You people have to hire more Shaun's on the registers who are more interested in the customer then what their coworkers did the night before! I live in Florida...I ordered a $50 gift card for my sister for Stop & Shop in Revere, MA where she does her shopping. I ordered it online on 10/31/14 entered my credit card information...and added a short Thank You note for her. It would take 7 business days...I gave my sister the confirmation number...she went to the Service Desk and explained what she was there for. They had no clue...After 20 minutes I finally talked to an assistant manager who explained he would take care of it. My Sister waiting over 30 minutes while some smart ass clerk took care of everyone and their uncle before throwing the gift card on the counter to my sister at the other end of the counter. I am appalled that this kind of customer service exists today and now I know why many of my sisters friends shop elsewhere....I intend to contact Stop and Shop also. This type of customer service is UNACCEPTABLE!! read more

Horrible food quality. In the past two weeks we have three times purchased meat there and it has either already been spoiled or gone bad the very next day, and none of this was meat with a close sell by date. The first time we went to return something, we were informed that just last month they had gotten rid of their double your money back guarantee because too many people had been exploiting it, we thought nothing more of it than alas, our bad luck. We no longer believe that people were making a concerted effort to scam them. We bought a piece of lamb there that we opened up that night. Upon being opened it immediately began to smell so we put it in the freezer until we could return it. The next day we opened the freezer and discovered the entire thing had turned bright green. It was truly one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen. I was so put off that I created a yelp account just so that I could warn others about this place. Buy non perishables or fruit and vegetables there if you'd like, but stay away from the meat department. As for us, from now on we're shopping at market basket. read more

We hate this Store since the "re-model". The layout is terrible, and we still cannot find everything. The store management stinks. Our truck was slammed by a carriage and significantly scuffed the side of the truck. They said they would take care of it, and nothing was done. No call back, no follow-up. One of their employees saw the incident, and still nothing, Not nice people. The thing that really bugs us is their employees use the HP spots (yes they have placards) and then they sit in their cars and take their smoke breaks. We have an HP placard too and have a hard time finding a spot to park. We went looking for lobster for Christmas Eve, and in an Italian neighborhood, they were out of lobsters. Great, huh? So, we will probably go to the store in Malden near Exchange St. It is better stocked. read more
