I had two things, didn't need a bag from them, and didn't bring one, again, only had two things. The system now won't let you cash out unless you put put a bag down. BUGS... Had been sick all day and my husband picked up ingredients to make soup. 20$ later I went to put the kale in the soup to see caterpillars or whatever it is float up to the top. Called to speak to the manager. No apology or concern, just "do you have your receipt?" And asked to bring that and the kale in for a refund. She had no interest in what type it was to pull it from the shelves. Besides the fact, it is 6:30 at night and I am sick. Not looking to drive out for the twenty dollars. Jun 11, 2024 One of the top stop and shops period. The store is clean and unless its super busy there's usually carriages. The store is always well stocked. Prices everywhere are generally expensive due to inflation and the government so I'm not counting that. If you do your due diligence and clip the digital coupons and follow the sales you'll be fine. I encourage people to read several reviews across the board. Some reviews are some combination of complaining about getting id checked for cigs, paper bags or costs. Honestly all useless information. Prices suck everywhere. The store has a fully functional Pharmacy, deli and bakery. The store has a gas station as well where you can use your points for gas The store security is active, which for normal people is a good thing. People that steal are scum who make things harder for everyday people. So remember, if you see Security checks, audits on scan guns. That's a positive! It means they're attentive to keeping you and i safe from criminal scum read more

Located on Rt. 2 with a large parking lot and a gas station. Prices are too high for the median income in this area. Celery salt for $5! Went to a competitor and got it for $0.99. I always go through a checkout line with a human regardless of the wait time. I am not paid to work here amd I prefer to keep someone who IS paid to work here, employed. No idea why businesses think we want to be cashiers (stores and now restaurants!) So I love leaving reviews for ppl to see the truth from my part and maybe this might had happened to someone else So my daughter is disabled I won't explain what's her disability but she's tries to work but certain things prevent her but anyways she worked night shift and today she wasn't feeling too well (time of the month) she worked a bit slow and her manager she knows who wasn't there today due to vacation knows how she works and told her take her time and stuff anyways the other guy there ADAM was very rude to her and didn't like how she was working and had a unprofessional attitude told her to clock out and leave and don't come back so basically fired her because she kept going to the bathroom and didn't feel comfortable to explain why she's a girl he's a man so yeah then locks her out the store instead of having her wait inside where it's safe until we come and get her NOPE HE LOCKED HER OUT then cops were called because he cursed out my daughters father when he just wanted to know what was going on and then lies and said my daughters father threatened him when he never did bottom line ADAM You're wrong for this and need to be fired for causing this matter and corporate needs to handle him I will be pulling cameras from every angle he was in we have recordings read more

This review is solely on the self checkout. If the self checkout is open someone should be there, and if someone's there they shouldn't be in their phone or chatting with other employees. You have 1 register open with someone scanning and 8 self checkout registers. You're making so we're kinda forced to use the self checkout unless you want to wait for Gladis who's moving at a slower pace than the damn robot that just gets in your way while you're trying to choose an Oreo flavor. So not only am I forced to work for free and without an employee discount I have to deal with being accused of stealing. Whoever the older woman with straight black hair is literally told me to not use another register after starting on a different one even if it says it requires assistance and no one is there to help. She said I'm on camera and to not do that again, it would be considered a walk out if someone didn't see me switching registers. Not only do I not care about if you think I walked out or not, but I also don't care if you get in trouble for not being at your station. Bring back employees and do away with having customers work for free. I'm no longer working without a discount from these stores that force labor on you just to be able to spend your money, and my discounts are pretty decent. I have been doing my grocery from this location for the last 3yrs. What I really like is the convenience. You can place an order online for pickup on the same day and they don't charge you arms and legs for that (like some other surrounding grocery stores). Also, they deliver at home. So if you have heavy stuff and/or stay in 3rd floor without elevator, that's a great option to have! They always find reasonable alternatives for out of stock items, which I appreciate. My only complaint with this place has been about missing an item or two for online purchases; specifically if those are replacements for out of stock items. So you would always need to review the items with the purchase invoice, once collected. But I must also add that they are incredibly nice to always offer a refund or immediate replacement for such items, once you call them. I experimented with some other nearby grocery stores and came back to Stop & Shop Warwick. Overall, great! read more

This is your pretty standard, normal Stop & Shop supermarket. Decent variety and for the most part, its pretty clean from the few times I've been to this location. It's in a convenient location off of Route 2. Never really had to deal with staff with the exception of check-out and I've never had a bad experience. read more

What can I say about Stop & Shop? It's a big store, has lots of stuff, it's near my house and there is excellent parking. There is nothing in the store that is outrageously excellent except for the Angus beef that they carry - it is always great - as great as beef gets. We don't eat a lot of beef, but when we do, we get it here usually! The produce is decent, but like I find at most grocery stores hereabouts, it seems to go bad quickly (far more quickly than my MD/DC groceries went bad). The produce, though, I have been told, has the least amount of pesticides sprayed on it, so that is a huge plus. The other really great thing about Stop & Shop is there gluten free food department. While it's not huge, it's all together, all in one place. I can find what I need just by going to this one aisle. The medicine/cosmetic department is very good - very large - and has a lot of products that I can conveniently purchase here while grocery shopping instead of taking another trip to the drug store (although I'm not sure if I'm spending more on it here). My very favorite reason, though, for shopping here is for GAS POINTS! Last week, with the help of a coupon, I got a dollar a gallon off my gas. Yeah, I probably pay more for the food here than I would at Walmart (but I HATE Walmart and everything they stand for, including treating it's employees unwell) but it's still so much fun to get a dollar off a gallon of gas!! And there is a Stop & Shop gas station (with pretty good prices) in the same location! I shop at three or four stores every week - and I shop a lot - for groceries. At least one of those trips is to Stop & Shop. It's not glamorous, it's not stellar, it's not famous, but it's my Stop & Shop and I guess you could say, I like it OK. read more

This Stop and Shop doesn't really do anything to differentiate itself from others of the same chain. I generally only go to this one if I happen to have other errands to run on Route 2 in Warwick and am in the area already. That being said, it is in a pretty good location, near a bunch of other places I go to on occasion. I will say that most of the times I've been there it's been crowded, which is never fun. But I've never not been able to find what I need when I'm there. It's generally been clean and well-stocked the times I've been there. I am not a fan of the parking lot, which is also almost always packed, especially when I tend to do my shopping (when everyone else does there, so I guess that's my bad). All things being equal, I'll still go here when I need groceries and I'm in the area, but I prefer my "home base" S&S on Frenchtown Road. read more

It is time that Stop and Shop starts purchasing enough items when it advertises that item. This has to be about the 10th time in a couple of months that I have stopped in to pick up a sale item, and there is nothing on that shelf. One then seeks out a grocery clerk to check the back room and that is a great challenge as this company does not hire enough help to be available to the customer, let alone stock the shelves. And, of course, when one finally finds someone to check the stock, there is no stock available. The sale started a few days ago, and one would think a truck would have arrived to deliver the items to restock those shelves. Stop and Shop does have a great policy, that being rain checks, and most admirably, there is no expiration date. Thankfully, that is true since I often have to return a few times before I can purchase that item. And the finale, one tries to check out with a few items, and of course, the single express line with a human is filled with a line of people. I will not consider going to the self-checkout as there is nowhere to put one's items or purse while trying to find my Stop and Shop card without the machine screeching to remove the items. What the corporate office has done to what used to be a wonderful grocery store is sad and really does not encourage me to shop here. read more

Clean place with a lot of things. But a lot of problems with the products. Meat not very fresh. I've gotten ground pork that smelled of chlorine a couple of times. The beef in the freezer area are already brownish. I don't buy meat here anymore. I used to like their 8 piece fried chicken as it's not as salty as the ones in Daves. It's good that they've changed the packaging to the transparent containers so you can see there are actually 8 pieces in there. Used to be they came in a brown bag and I've gotten less then 8 pieces a few times. (I'm not going to drive back for that one piece). The problem now is that the fried chicken is overcooked. I think they recook old ones so meat has become very dry and the batter very hard and brittle and inedible. Only thing I buy now are veggies. read more

It has a Stop & Shop gas station which is a huge plus and is located around other stores that I frequent; these are the main reasons why I opt to deal with the crowds on occasion at this location. The produce options are limited, the aisles are overcrowded, there is a constant lack of open registers that leads to lines stretching out into the main front isle making it nearly impossible to maneuver around the store, frozen food is often freezer burn from this location. This is a great market to go to, especially for gas points. Generally, the prices are hiked a bit, but the trick is to go when they have deals in their ads. That's the only times we go here, and often. Not only picking up deals on food but also gas points! This is my first experience with buying groceries for gas points, and I love it. Even when there were times when the points weren't added after cashing out at the register. You just go to a lady at a desk and she fixes it real quick. They haven't given me any problems. I also love the fact you can you scan your own groceries and bag them! Again, this is the first and only store I've been to that's had this and I love it. It saves me the anxiety/rush at the register. They have a gas station right across from their store, so convenient. Also, from what I can remember (I may be wrong), there's a Moe's store right next door. Good time to eat before going grocery shopping. I love getting deals here! read more

TERRIBLE STORE! On a busy Saturday morning only 2 registers were staffed along with 2 express checkouts and all of the self checkout stations. The lines were ridiculous and the manager walked around as if he didn't notice or didn't care. So if you want to work for Stop& Shop for free (check yourself out, bag your own groceries, put your own cart away) be a Chump! As for my family, we will go up the road to Dave's. The food is fresher, the store is cleaner, and the registers are all open. Especially on busy shopping days. read more

I go here only when Dave's is closed. Which is rarely, thank god. The produce is poor quality at best and often moldy, if they even have much in stock at all, the layout confusing, the prices are high, the staff obviously underpaid and surly about it. Go to Dave's. Like night and day. read more
