Every thing could improve and it would still be the worst store ever. I keep trying in hope, but it always sucks! 1. Just left on Saturday at 10:30 and the shelves are empty. No meat. Only meat for people who shop after 11. No organization and they rarely have water. This store must be owned by an independently wealthy family. They cannot possibly make money. It should be demolished and replaced by a functional store. I live in hope. read more

THE BEST GROCERY STORE IN VAILS GATE! Price chopper is the worst store in vails gate, and ShopRite is always too busy. I love Hannaford because they are the perfect happy medium for everything. You walk in and you get the Hannaford experience with faux trees in the produce section, everything is well laid out! They have a great organic and health section with some great vegan options too! All of the staff is friendly and the front end works super hard to always keep carts available inside. Their bagels are amazing as well, everything about this grocery store is amazing, especially the Hannaford app where you can get 2% cash back on certain products and clip coupons too! read more

My go to supermarket in New Windsor. Close to home and they have many things I need, from gluten free, organic, to international items. They even have Spanish cooking items, and brands, and a little section of Caribbean vegetables. You can find some really decent deals at Hannaford too. And like someone else said, it's a happy medium, never crowded, which creates for a very nice shopping experience... you don't have to worry about bumping carts and you can take your time browsing. read more

I love this store. I used to think they were expensive (although they always-even through the pandemic-have great sales and great coupons!) on the app they even give you personalized coupons for products in line with what you buy and sometimes 8 to 15 dollars off your total if you spend a certain amount.). Shop rite prices have skyrocketed and they offered very little in the way of sales or coupons when people needed it most. Particular examples : a certain frozen pizza 3.99 at Hannaford, 5.29 Shoprite. . A certain kitty litter 8.29 Hannaford, 11.99 ! Shop rite!! (And that was there sale price!! ) I even got sent coupons "especially for you" to my Hannaford app account for 1.50 off those prices. I just love this store! It's immaculate, the natural foods and products section is the best laid-out in the area, the employees are knowledgeable and super helpful and friendly, and--guess what, people-- the prices are much better here than anywhere else in the area! For instance, It's not unusual to pay more than 2 dollars LESS for a multipack of cat food here than at nearby Shoprite or PriceChopper; the same goes for most pharmacy products. Speaking of the pharmacy, the pharmacists are extremely knowledgeable and eager to help with all prescription and over the counter issues, and getting my flu shot is a breeze. And here's the best kept secret: Their bathroom is spotless. I shop daily for groceries, and I hope this Hannaford's is here for as long as I am! read more

Hannaford's pharmacy also acts as an eye exam site for NYS drivers' license renewals. I stopped in on a weekday afternoon and was greeted by the pharmacy technician. She was friendly and explained the process. The pharmacist conducted the brief eye exam, which only consisted of reading from an eye chart. They submitted all of the data online to the DMV. By the time I got home, the DMV showed that I passed my eye test and I was able to renew my license. The pharmacy technician and the pharmacist were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and took their time to explain things. Other pharmacies don't even do this for actual medications. The store itself had a steady but light flow of people. I go past here frequently and it never seems crowded, not even during prime time. The store is clean, but the prices seem slightly higher than other nearby supermarkets, and the selection is not quite as vast. read more

Stopped in, since I was in the area. Cashiers are friendly, picked up a seafood roll and salad. I loved their ready to eat offerings. The produce is kept organized and the whole store is well kept. They had a wide variety of juices, like the Odwalla C-Monster, and my favorite brand of Simply Apple/OJ/Lemonade. Can't wait to come back. It's clean and a good place to go. read more

At first, was really excited about shopping here. Reminded me of the shopping centers out west. The prices were great, selection was everything we needed. However, many of our products started going bad quickly. When inspecting the items at home, then subsequently at the store when shopping again, many of the items on the shelves are either within a day of expiration or have already expired. Always clean, staff are friendly, but have since stopped shopping and now going to Price Chopper. read more

Very clean, organized market with great prices and helpful service. This is the NY version of Bottom Dollar foods, except they have more produce (a lot of organic varieties!), fresh baked goods, and a full deli, including prepared foods. It has the same generic brand as Bottom Dollar but also functions as a full-service supermarket. I wish that we had them in PA, just so I don't have to go to multiple stores to save a few bucks. read more

Our New Windsor store has the BEST variety of store brand organic items, grass fed beef and organic chicken. They are also very generous to the local food pantry were I volunteer. The store is always clean, well organized and the staff is very friendly. The self check out registers almost never have a malfunction, but on the rare occasion that there is a problem, an associate is immediately correcting it. My only negative thought is that when they are out of something it seems to take quiet a long time to get the item back in stock. I feel the store is clean and well laid out. Aisles are labeled well, and products pretty easy to find. Another positive is that its never really busy, even on weekends, so its easy in/out. On the negative side some of the front end crew is pretty unfriendly, even to customers that are in there all the time and know them. Management should realize loyalty is a funny thing with grocery stores, hard to earn it, but so easy to lose it. The prices at Hannaford are competitive with ShopRite and Price Chopper, but for some reason those stores are always swimming with people while Hannaford is usually pretty empty. Not to mention, they have tons of reasonably priced natural products, which neither of the other grocery stores at Five Corners have. My only (minor) complaint is I just wish some of the employees could be a little nicer and friendlier. I always feel like I'm bothering them by paying for my groceries. read more
