The food is great! However, their service is lacking. I've been a customer since they opened and come weekly. I came before closing with the "open" sign still lit up and they would not service me or even try to see what they had left to accommodate. They were also very unapologetic. Came in at midday on a weekday, so it was pretty vacant. Service was nice and fast, my food ended up coming out before I could finish filling my drink. The fries were crispy and the gyro was sliced ultra thin to my surprise, which I ended up preferring to a more traditional slice. I'm currently pregnant and I don't know if I was just extra hungry that day, but my first bite of the chicken bowl was *magical*. We took our food to go and it was still steaming hot when we got home 10 minutes later. The food would have been prepared faster, but they were making a batch of fresh fries and I'm not going to complain about fresh fries. The food was absolutely delicious. We came to try this place out. We liked eating at Demos and thought this would be a nice alternative on a different side of town. The food was delicious, soft, and served hot. Everyone got something different: beef gyro, chicken gyro, and your typical long strip gyro (cant name it off the top of my head). There were greek fries that had the cream, cheese that looked like feta and parsley. Everything was made to order and came out hot. There were three people working and one was very helpful. He offered to explain anything on the menu and was very patient with us. When I went up later to order my sons dish, the other person working was a little bit impatient with me as I had a hard time hearing him over the plexy glass and he had a deep accent. The place is nicely kept and it was empty when we arrived until we left. They mainly get a lot of door dash orders as tons of people came in to pick up. Surprised this place has so much Yelp love extended toward it, as I found it painfully average at best. Gyro meat was on the dry side and sliced very thin. They're not cutting right of the Gyrokone, but slicing the Gyro meat off in advance and making your bowls and plates from meat in a tub- similar to a Chipotle. Meh. Unfortunately, rice was on the drier side too. It wasn't quite like eating a bowl of sand, but the words fresh and delicious certainly aren't jumping into my thoughts. I will say, you get a good portion for your money. So there's that. I was also completely annoyed by the amount of flying bugs that were hanging around me as I ate. Maybe that's a "me" problem. It was freshly shaved but cut too thin so the meat had no moisture and was very dry. They give you generous amounts and all the ingredients were fresh and tasty except for the gyro meat. I wonder if the holding tank had some moisture in it which would have helped the dryness. The Greek fries were great. I usually don't care for smothered fries but these I would get those again. Saw all the reviews on FB so being that my wife loves Mediterranean food, we came to visit. We had a gyros plate and a beef plate with fries. The girl working there was very friendly and made our order fresh. Food was hot and tasted amazing! The price is less than a combo from any fast food place, but 1000x the quality. My son surprised me one day by calling and asking me if I wanted Greek food for dinner. He said he was stopping on his way home. I told him I was definitely interested and that he should just pick something for me or get me what he was having. When he got to the house, he handed me a cardboard box with a full meal in it. It all really hit the spot. Today, my son called again. He had gotten off of work early and was stopping to get Greek food again. This time, I told him to get me the gyro sandwich. He dropped it off and put it in the fridge on his way home because my wife and I were at our Senior Strength workout at Gold's Gym. My wife decided to pick something else up for lunch, so I ate something else, saving the gyro sandwich for dinner. I opened the box, took out the tin foil, and warmed it up for a minute and a half in the microwave. Since it wasn't in one of those Styrofoam sweat boxes, it had stayed fresh. Let me tell you, it was the best gyro I have ever had! The meat from this place is seasoned really well. It is cut thicker and not at all dried out like some other places. A much needed addition to this side of town! Few months ago we drove all over Potranco and Alamo Ranch looking for a gyro and settled for something else. Watched as they teased the arrival of this business with great enthusiasm. Today we finally had our opportunity to try it out and it was fantastic! The chefs were patient and entertained my ignorance in this type of cuisine and even adjusted my meal to remove vegetables for me. The debate if it's called gyro or gyro was settled. It's definitely called gyro instead of gyro. My wife ordered the The #1 Traditional Gyro by itself and I ordered the Beef Pita minus vegetables but combo with Greek fries and a soft drink. Their soda machine had Dr. Pepper which is my favorite. We topped it off with a nice Baklava desert. It was all delicious! We have found our local Gyro shop! The two folks working the front were friendly and took my order quickly. The gyro was decent and had good flavor, but the greek style fries were ridiculously good.
