I used to come to Pasha all the time when I lived in San Antonio, so when hubby and I visited, I knew I had to take him here and introduce him to one of my old favorites. And yes.. everything really is bigger in Texas haha. The portions at Pasha are HUGE, but the best part is that the food is actually very delicious, perfectly seasoned. Hubby still talks about the experience he had. A great variety of Mediterranean dishes, from grilled meats and kebabs to hummus, rice, salads, and more. Everything we tried was flavorful, and the portions were definitely enough to leave us with leftovers. The restaurant itself is very aesthetic and welcoming. The food is ok. Nothing stood out from everything we ordered. They do have a whole area where they have sweets from another place we've been to called "Baklovah". FYI. So, our order consisted of; the chicken sheesh tawook plate and the beef and lamb plate. They serve complimentary naan bread and an oil dip. My plate came with a side salad and hummus. The other plate had rice and tzatziki. Service was ok. The restaurant wasn't that busy and we waited a long time to get our check until we just went up to the counter. It's been many years since I have been here and I don't think I will hurry back ! I remember liking in the first time but this time not so much! I sat down and was immediately asked what I wanted which of course had no clue about as I had not even opened the menu. There is a lot to go through but decided to do a bowl - it was HUGE! Way too much food for one person but just a massive, uninspired plate of carbs! Lots of white rice, a lot of falafels that were overcooked but tasty, tzatziki that tasted good but was think like guac and tabbouleh that was missing key ingredients liked bulgar - it was just a cup of chopped parsley with a little seasoning! We wanted to try something new since we were visiting the stone oak area, so we decided to try pasha and boy it did not disappoint. The ambiance was lively, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. We ordered the chicken plates, beef tenderloin shish kabob, and the lamb which came out on a sizzling platter. The food was on par with what you would expect from a fancy higher end restaurant, yet the prices were extremely reasonable. I've had a lot of Persian food in my life and this is hands-down the best! Khoresh, like homemade.: I had Gheymeh Bademjan-- the.flavor was complex with Persian Lime, cinnamon, saffron, turmeric, and Advieh-- a Persian spice blend with cardamom, and rose petals and more. THe rose tea was so refreshing and the taste made me smile as it cleared my palate! The garlic hummus was one of the best as was the Pasha garlic and sesame bread. Just the regular Pita was very freshly made. My son enjoyed the shawarma taquitos. Can't wait to taste the baklava later! We took nearly half the food home! Very generous portions and we were hungry when we arrived! We will be regular customers. Sometimes you're getting treated like royalty by the whole staff serving you, and other times you'll be waiting half an hour for someone to "notice" your hand is up for assistance. Another visit, another disappointment. Remember when Pasha used to be at the top of its game, the BEST place for Mediterranean in all the city? Why oh why did they change their naan/pita recipe? And why, as so many people have noted it isn't as good and more like a "tortilla" (it's Lavash) haven't they changed it back?? It's thin to the point it dries out quickly under the cold generated by the ceiling fans. It's flavorless and almost pasty in the thicker edges. And I guess they still call a wrap a "Naanwich" because "Lavashwich" is just weird. They changed their recipe for mast o khiyar, too, which also isn't as good (a few big chunks of cucumber in herby yoghurt- cucumber imparts flavor in small pieces, not big chunks) The proteins are still ok. I'm not a fan of the Greek salad so I always pay to substitute for Shirazi salad. This time I wanted cabbage salad as a sub but our server couldn't find it on their device as a sub. Instead of asking someone, I was told I had to pick something else. I went with Pasha salad which had zero dressing flavor at all. I asked for lemon wedges to give it something bright. We switched from liking the "other place" across the parking lot to Pasha as soon as it was finished being a rug store (yes, that long ago!) But now we're finding ourselves going across the parking lot more often since Pasha has slipped. It's never even as crowded as it used to be. In better news, they've expanded their dessert case and added more variety from Baklovah. We bought a bit of blackberry Turkish delight and a Nutella one, and while they don't look or taste like the traditional Turkish delight, they were tasty in their own way! It does feel like Pasha is giving more time and attention to the sweets than the foods that made it great to begin with. read more

We had high hopes for our first visit, and I want to start by saying the service was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially since we were first-timers. The ambiance looked inviting, though we took our food to go. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. The salads were quite small for the $8 price tag, but that wasn't a dealbreaker. The corn tortillas were a bit soggy but had good flavor. The naan, although oddly placed at the bottom of a brown paper bag, was tasty. The lamb was the highlight--tender and well-seasoned. However, several items really missed the mark. The beef was full of gristle, the lentil soup had barely any lentils, and the most disappointing part was the container of completely burned Brussels sprouts. I actually asked the staff member about them when ordering, and she assured me they were very good. If they're intended to be charred to that degree, perhaps it's just a matter of taste--but for us, it was unpleasant. Our total came to just under $75 for our family of four, and given the quality and quantity of the meal, we didn't feel it was worth the price. While we appreciated the service and effort, the food just didn't suit our preferences, and we don't plan to return. read more

Loved the food here! The service was quick, friendly and our server knew the menu well - which has a lot of options to choose from. The meat was juicy and full of flavor with large portions. I do wish there was a combo platter that has the chicken kabob, beef koobideh and the beef tenderloin that isn't a "dinner for two" option because adding on a kabob of your liking to a platter was expensive. I have been a customer since the original location opened on Wurzbach Rd. I ordered online from the Stone Oak location as I have done in the past but this time it was absolutely horrible. The Saffron chicken was so overcooked it was bone dry and inedible (it went down the garbage disposal). The vegetable skewer was a joke, one small piece of overcooked roma tomato, a burned piece of green bell pepper, 2 small button mushrooms and a giant jalapeno pepper. Biggest waste of $50 I've had. We were served complimentary naan and zaatar. Naan was soft clouds of melt in your mouth bread. Our main dishes were beautifully plated. The gyro plate had a nice salad, hummus, and plenty of sliced gyro meat. The gyro meat was dry unfortunately and hummus was good, but needed something on the plate to scoop it with. Maybe an addition of pita?? The koobideh was dry as well and the plate was not served with rice which was odd. It only came with salad and hummus. This review spans of a year of getting only the Dinner for Two options! My family and I would always get the dinner for two. We always noticed that it has never consistently been the same. We've seen the meat and rice come in a hot container. The cooked vegetables are either whole or cut up. The "salad"varied and our most recent visit the taste was lacking. We've been offered tea and baklava that we were told is included in the past and on our most recent visit, it is no longer included. I'm disappointed of how inconsistent it has been the past year. We've loved the food and consistently came every few months and when we had guest in town. My biggest disappointment is that they no longer include the tea and baklava. I hope they consider bringing it back with the Dinner for Two. It would no longer be "worth" spending $45-49.99 on the Dinner for Two if it is no longer a complete meal. read more

It was busy, but we were sat immediately. Our server got to us and took our drink orders patiently. We ordered the Sultan Schwarma Trio that came with gyro, grilled beef, and grilled chicken. The meats were grilled with Mediterranean salad, basmati and cranberry rice. It was quite a bit of food. More than enough food for three adults and two kids to eat...and we took a box of meat home. waiter sat us in his section, took our order and went on an extended break..... after about 30minutes of eating I got up to get a to go box and asked if the waiter was ok. that's when I was told he was on break. the manager that allowed him to go on break was busy taking photos of the dessert bar and never once came to ask if we were doing ok. This Pasha location has been around for a number of years. In the past I've really enjoyed my dining experiences here when I was craving Mediterranean cuisine. It had been several years since I've visited this location, and popped in for lunch today while running errands. Right off the bat I noticed a difference when I walked in. There was music playing that did not seem to be Mediterranean, in this restaurant that is marketed as a Mediterranean restaurant. Also the tables were adorned with plastic black plastic table coverings when in the past they had been cloth. I was promptly greeted and seated by a young lady who was very polite and helpful. The naan I had was good, and they brought out more right away. The hummus was not good at all and had a strange aftertaste. I ordered the beef schwarma "wrap". This was average at best and had sliced pickles inside of it. I did not pick up on any Mediterranean favors from this dish at all. The fries that came with it were actually very good. To say I was very disappointed with this experience would be an understatement. The confusing mix of Mexican/Mediterranean cuisine had me wondering, if this was now a fusion concept. Especially when they had churros for sale. The positives were the fries, naan and our server who provided excellent service. I've been to the wurzbach location but so glad Pasha has added new locations around town to accommodate everyone (the wurzbach location is usually quite crowded). The restaurant was nicely decorated but could definitely use some booths and more comfortable seating. I had a beef shawarma plate with a salad & baba ghannouj. Unfortunately I didn't like the baba ghannouj as much as I usually do. Something was off about the flavor , maybe not enough seasoning I'm not sure how they prepare it. But it wasn't my first time trying it so I was kinda disappointed with it. The dish does come with tahini sauce but I also didn't like the flavor of that. Kind of plain, not as I remember it tasting. I did however ask for a side of tzatziki and that was DELICIOUS!!! My husband enjoyed the fish & shrimp platter. The original hummus and pita bread was beyond addicting. I've eaten here several times and the food has been consistently good. This time i was looking for something on the lighter side and had to compromise. Instead of just an appetiser or salad, i went with the Veggie plate so i could have a variety of foods: the tabbouli, mast-o-kyhar , and falafel. Everything was wonderful! I enjoyed for freashness of the salad, the creamy and very flavorful yogurt, and filling falafel. The falafel were good, but i like my own better. This plate fed me for lunch, and for the next two days of breakfasts. Everyone at the table enjoyed what they ordered, but also went home with to-go boxes. Not everyone is keen on leftovers and i'm afraid that food goes to waste or just isn't as tasty when it isn't fresh. I don't live in the US anymore, but i'm wondering are these portion sizes what is expected here? I'd rather come more often and eat my treats fresh in manageable portion sizes. Starting off with some warm pita bread. I loved the texture with the oil and cheese crumbs. Just settling into the friendly atmosphere, great portions once these appetizers came in, had a little complication with the service, since we ordered beef instead of chicken for the pita quesadilla. The lamb was perfectly well cooked, so delicious and filling too. We shared so many of our plates with one another. Not a full review as here with a large group and that's not fair to the place. As some of you know I lived in Turkey so very familiar with this type of food. The koobideh kabob while a different name for me was excellent! I often judge places by this simple dish that needs the right blend of spices. My only complaint was my rice, more like American every grain separate, not what I'm used to from overseas but then maybe it's to please the locals...no harm in that. Stopped in at pasha for a late lunch after our morning hiking. We love a good booth section, but these booth chairs were old and ripped apart at the seams. We requests to move tables due to the fabric poking into my skin, thankfully our waitress was very accommodating. We ordered spicy hummus, chicken shawarma, beef shawarma, and pasha potatoes, The beef was a little chewy, preferred the chicken, all delicious. You have got to try the rose tea, so tasty. They ran out of the koobideh meat and failed to communicate that to me when I placed an order over the phone. 3 out of 4 entrees I ordered was koobideh. They did not bother to contact me but instead waited until I got there to tell me it was on its way and it would take 20 minutes to arrive from the other location. Then about 15 minutes more to cook. This was already 20 minutes after I placed the order. Manager tonight was a rude woman who did not offer any recourse, and was not even apologetic for the inconvenience she had caused. Food quality has also been inconsistent the last year. Meat not always fully cooked. They've skimped on the wrap fillings. Just very disappointed especially after being a patron for years. read more
