Tonight I ordered delivery from Dallah. I got a chicken shawarma plate with rice, spanakopita, and baklava. The shawarma plate was amazing. It was perfectly seasoned. A hidden spot deep in the medical area inside the corner of a shopping center. Plenty of parking and a very welcoming environment from all the employees. We started off with a hot tea pot to share, which came with peppermint leaves inside our tea cups, making the black tea flavorful. For entrees, I ordered the chicken shwarma and my husband got the combination plate along with grilled veggies. Food took a while although there wasn't anyone there, but it came out piping fresh. This is a great restaurant. The food is delicious. Whether it's delivered, eating in, or getting takeout it's always delicious. I would also like to note that the staff is amazing. I use a wheelchair and one day when picking up I couldn't find any handicap parking. I called and told them and they brought it out to me. Very nice, quiet little place tucked away in a corner of a shopping center. Very friendly staff, very customer oriented. I enjoyed a pot of hot tea which was very very good. Tried the kebab combo with Greek salad. I turned down the complimentary bread for dietary reasons. I asked for the beef medium well. It took a while for the plate to come out but they aren't in a rush here and were methodically turning out food for all the tables ahead of me. My waiter checked in multiple times and let me know when the food would arrive. The plate was beautifully presented. The flavors were spot on. Greek salad with feta and onions was fresh and delicious. The beef was flavorful, but sadly some of it was very overcooked and tough while some pieces were tender as I expected. Maybe next time I'll say "medium" and see how it goes. The flavor was excellent and I savored the tender pieces. The garlic taum sauce was also authentic and delicious. The chicken was a little disappointing in that it had a somewhat burnt outer shell but inside it was barely done. Probably the fire or heat was too hot for chicken. Still, I hate to give 3 stars because everything was so nice from ambiance to service to flavor.. but the burning of the chicken and mixed doneness on the beef kept fame from a 4 stars. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating were available. We were immediately greeted by our server and was able to choose our seating. I ordered the koobideh kafta kebab. Loved it! Tasty with the perfect amount of spice and juiciness. I chose the Greek salad sans feta and enjoyed it so much. I don't know what kind of dressing it was tossed with, but it was delicious! The garlic sauce that accompanied the kafta was super garlicky, but that's the way I like it.... smothered that all over my koobideh. The rest of the table ordered : Gyro wrap- mostly meat which was fine, but it needed some produce for color, taste, and variety. Kabab Combination plate- my friend found the chicken to be very dry and the beef gamey. Combination plate- the chicken shawarma was dry. Great service. Food needs a little tweak with the way it's cooked. Chicken breast can be very dry and gyro needs some life with color instead of one sliced tomato. Delicious food and wonderful service! Although the meal was great, I thought our server made the experience superb. (He was super attentive and cracked some jokes, which is always a plus for me lol.) The interior was nicely decorated, and there is also outdoor seating available. For the appetizer, I tried the Labneh, which is a dairy/cheese dip accompanied by pita bread. The labneh reminded me of somewhat of a thicker sour cream/yogurt, and it was good but I think my taste buds prefer a less tart dip. I also got the Lamb Tikka Kabab, which was cooked medium rare and seasoned perfectly. Also, portion sizes were reasonable for the price. Had an early dinner on Friday night at Dallah and the best way to describe it is average. We ordered the mixed grill menu that includes appetizers and entrees that we shared. The appetizers included Hummus which was OK, Babaganush which had a weird after taste, dolmas and spanakopitas that were nice. so overall, average. Entrees included a chicken and lamb kebabs and a kufta kebab. All were fairly dry and bland. They came with rice - nothing special. Service was sporadic and not very attentive. Dallah Dallah Bill, y'all! A "Dallah" is a coffee pot! Huh! This is a fun middle eastern Mediterranean restaurant located at Eckhart and Babcock. The menu is largely Greek. I got the chicken schwarma wrap, which was served with a small serving of delicious french fries. They could've thrown in a few more fries or a bit of lettuce. It looked a little lacking on the presentation. My dining companion got the gyro wrap, which was absolutely packed with lamb, and swimming in tzatziki. The service was friendly and competent. The food came out quickly for lunch. It's got a lovely patio with a babbling fountain out side. The tables have beautiful mosaic designs. This restaurant has scored a perfect health department inspection score! When we went, they were playing cheesy 80's music, and their cd or whatever was sourcing their music was skipping. The food and the service were both excellent. My daughter and I went for dinner and were not disappointed. It is a bit pricey but we didn't go for lunch and we did have the lamb which is well worth the cost. They also give huge portions that gave us two meals with the leftovers. I was invited by a friend to eat at Dallah for my birthday and it was well worth it. The food was delicious and the location ideal. We ordered the Labneh, creamy Middle Eastern soft cheese served with tanour bread and shirazi, cucumber tomato salad. They were both excellent. I also ordered a vegetable wrap with a side salad. Very delicious and a large portion to take home for later enjoyment. In fact, we were able to take extras of all of the food ordered. The experience of eating at Dallah was outstanding. The place is light and open, surrounded by windows and minimalist decor. Service was impecable and our server was very friendly. Prices were ok, but portions and food preparation made for a flavorful eating experience. Dallah is worth a try when wanting to enjoy some excellent Middle Eastern food. read more

Came by for a late lunch/early dinner after my doctors appointment. This is my fourth time here. I really enjoy the food. My server, Nicolas was very helpful and attentive. Other staff remembered me from previous visits. I love the rose water tea. I ordered my usual, a beef skewer platter with a Greek salad. Today 5.28.26 our monthly joy club lunch group went to Dallah Mediterranean restaurant. We were greeted with the sign that said sit anywhere you choose. We chose a table by the window for four. Our waiter Nicholas came over with a bright smile, young man who was very personable. We were very quickly served water along with our menus. The restaurant when we arrived at 11:15 AM was empty it was clean, which is always a plus. The menu had very delectable items. We ordered falafel with tzatziki,delicious for an appetizer. I ordered Chicken kebab, Greek salad with the basmati rice. The other ladies ordered lamb various other dishes. We also had hummus and the wonderful baked pita bread that goes with that. We also added dessert at the end baklava. Throughout the meal, our waiter Nicholas was very attentive, always had a smile and was very accommodating. By the time we left, the restaurant was full and bustling with customers around the lunchtime hour. We did sit and chat for a little bit. We did not feel rushed, which was very nice. I would say it was a five star experience. By the time we left my individual bill including tip was around $47. I would say that's an expensive brunch well worth it. I wouldn't do it all of the time but I enjoyed it. My meal itself was $19 plus the baklava 2 pieces. I added the Greek salad to my meal and then a 20% the tip. read more

This place is beautiful and welcoming. We were immediately greeted with friendly smiles and chose our seats. Sorry I didn't get photos of the food. I was so hungry and it was SO delicious! We ordered the Dallah Mixed kabob but we substituted a lamb kabob for the chicken. The portions of the meat were huge. We ended taking a gallon of the Dallah rose water iced tea home! I tried this particular restaurant once before for home delivery. Enjoyed their food a lot, fresh-tasting and just simply delicious. Good thing my cousin, my aunt and uncle finally decided to try it too for a dine-in lunch just last Saturday. Upon entering the restaurant I already felt good when I saw their perfect sanitation rating, cleanliness is not a question at all, we just need to order our food and enjoy. We were greeted and seated by this wonderful young lady (didn't get her name though) but she was very warm and welcoming. She even asked if we have been there before, we told her it's our first time and she said that we are in for a treat. She's really serious because from the labneh appetizer with the freshly prepared homemade tanour bread to the refreshing Greek salad, yummy spanakopita, tasty hummus and baba ganoush, with perfectly cooked palafel and delish gyro and chicken shawarma, we are totally filled-up satisfied and happy. My aunt's and uncle's gyro wrap and chicken shawarma wraps are also both Yummilicious! Our server Nicolas was very efficient, prompt personable and equally warm like the young lady who welcomed us. Although there was a mistake with my aunt's order, she was served beef shawarma wrap instead and had to wait a while for her chicken wrap, Nicolas made sure it's been taken cared of efficiently and as fast as they can. We also didn't forget to check-in with Yelp and avail of our free slices of cheesecake. Nicolas mentioned that although the owner said that the deal is over/expired already, they still honored it. They should have updated Yelp if this deal is no longer available so diners like us would not expect. Also, it's noted on the menu that take-out may have include a container fee, we were never charged for it. The dining area is not so big, the interior decors are minimal but very Mediterranean feel, homey and just the right level of jazzy music piped-in. They have limited patio/outside covered dining area as well with a very cute fountain area and other decors giving you the ambience of somewhere in the Middle East/Mediterranean. The owner/manager was very warm and all smiles were on our way out after our satisfying lunch. It was indeed a very excellent first time dine-in experience for all of us. We'll definitely be visiting again in the future. This is way much much better than Pasha, their food service and ambience are all homey and on-point. Underrated delicious Mediterranean food and just quietly tucked in a little corner on Babcock and Eckher Roads. This is a hidden gem that must not be missed. read more

This is my go to place when I want a healthy lunch. Their salads are so good. Everything is fresh, and always amazing. The feta is not too salty and the sun dried tomatoes adds a slight sweetness and texture. I always get it with chicken and the portions are hefty. There are a decent amount of tables inside and a nice outside patio which is covered and decorated with a middle eastern/Mediterranean vibe. Theres also a decorative wall for photo ops. Was in town for work and stopped here on a whim and boy am I glad we did. This is some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in the state of Texas, seriously a hidden gem. They have a large outdoor base (covered with fans to beat the heat) and a sizeable indoor dining room as well. Family run restaurant and all the wait staff was kind, attentive, and pleasant to be around. They were on it about filling waters, providing recs, and the owner even came to check on us and if we were enjoying our meal. I ordered the gyro plate and what a good value it was! This was the first time l've tried authentic Mediterranean dishes but let me tell you, it was such a wonderful experience! The minute we walked in, they were oh so friendly and warm, making sure to answer any questions about the menu we had, not to mention giving us time to look it over thoroughly. It's definitely a great place to go if it's your first time trying something new! The food however was fresh, and I had to do a little dance in my seat from just how yummy it all was. It's hard to find a place that fills you up, physically but also satisfyingly but this pace does the job, and we still left with left overs from how packed our plates were, which were beautifully crafted by the way! Second visit...this time without Covid restrictions, and I'm pleased to say, it's just as good this time as well! First of all, the service is top notch! I didn't catch our waiter's name, but, he's multi-lingual and just GOOD. I'm a long time Mediterranean food lover, but I noticed the servers asking customers if it was their first visit and making recommendations. I love that they do that. As for food...I tried the dolmas again, despite not loving them last time (they were good-just different than I'm accustomed to) and this time I loved them. I literally ate the entire appetizer myself. Husband had the gyro wrap, and he ate every last speck, and I had the gyro plate with rice and salad-just because I couldn't decide which I was in the mood for. This little spot is not what it appears from the outside. I pass it all the time and it looks like a run of the mill restaurant in a shopping center. Walked it and it's small, but beautifully decorated. I noticed the gorgeous chandeliers as soon as I walked in. The food is served at a window where the staff picks up and takes to your table, like an old school diner type. We sat down and they served us bread and a dipping sauce that had like roasted tomatoes and olive oil... had a sweet, then spicy kick to it. Very tasty. I ordered the chicken wrap, and the lunch special came with a salad and a drink. The wrap had so much flavor in it, it was delicious! The food was hot, as they had just prepared it and I watched them place it in the window and my server pick it up within 1 minute of being ready. A few wonderful points to highlight with respect to this establishment. 1.) Food: For Mediterranean food, I have had a wide variety of tastes around San Antonio (e.g. Pasha's, Sevin, Dimassi's), and I can say without a doubt that Dallah knows how to serve authentic Mediterranean cuisine. While I only get the Gyro plate, I have had similar plates at other aforementioned restaurants and this place DELIVERS!! The portions are generous, the taste and wonderful, and the flavors are impactful. 2.) Service: I only do takeout or ordered online and drive to pickup the food but when I do, they go above and beyond to make my experience the best. When ordering, they are very patient with you and make sure to explain what you are ordering to ensure you are confident about your choice. If you do pickup, they offer water or tea while you wait to make your stay enjoyable. The owner always refers to us as friends and if you get a chance to meet him, you'll be glad you did.
