They gave me a unit on a dirt road. Apparently, the unit wasn't insulated enough because during a windy evening, all of the dust and dirt from the outside came into my storage unit. Every single item I had, all of my belongings, boxes, and so on... every one of my personal effects (some boxes were opened since I had needed some items) was *covered* in a layer of soot. So this morning my car broke down, rentals are impossible to come by. Finally got a truck from here...not ideal but It'll do. So take a lyft to come here and get the uhaul all to be lied to by the girl at the front desk who says I didn't make a reservation just a quote. I even got a confirmation email thanking me and then another email after she cancelled my order. So she double booked it, instead of owning up to the mess she made she lied to my face! Ended up having my unit get robbed here. They told me they had had a string of units get broken into and other locks put on your unit, so they could rob you at their leisure. No help. Zero. Denials....One guy tells me they have video footage of bad guys, but then leave me high and dry. No response to emails. Implying that I wasn't even robbed. I called the cops trying to get more info, but that's a dead end too. So whatever investigation is going on over here is high and dry. But they best part is, they give you the lock, and have your combo in their possession. Imagine that. If you do business with these guys, make sure you put your OWN lock on. I wouldn't do business with these people!!!! They rip you off, they told us they would pro-rate for moving out early. Then when we went back in they said we were to tell them before we paid for that month. WE DID!!!! we told them we were moving out of the storage unit, we paid for the full month, since we told them we were moving, we thought they would pro-rate it. THEY NEW!!!! STAY AWAY!!! I had a horrible experience with these people at Stor-it. I had a couple wood items eaten by rats, NO JOKE!!! this however is not my biggest problem. I cancelled my storage unit only to find out they had blocked access to my unit after a month and a half charging me for 2 months and late fees. I could not pay the fee's right away then they demanded $250 after 3 months because the unit was not swept out. I tried to reason with them but the girl on the phone was extremely rude (can I say "ghetto" rude?). I mean she was very snobbish and childish. NINE months later (or $500 bucks later) they sent it to collections. I recommend you stay away from these crooks, they are greedy, unprofessional, and use tactics to swindle you out of more money. read more

They threw out my belongings before my lease was up because they had already rented out the unit to another person. They were double dipping. Your items are not safe there. They did not replace my loss. I had moved most everything out a week early except for the stand that keeps my canoe off the ground because it wouldn't fit in my car. When I came back for it it was gone and the storage unit was empty. My lease had not expired yet. I went up to the front office and asked about it and they said they must have thrown it away because they thought it was junk. They had already leased the unit to someone else. They didn't offer to pay for my loss or reimburse me money for my lease. I will never use them again and encourage others to avoid their shady, unconscientious practices. read more

Zero stars for this dishonest operation which runs other Stor-It locations in Boise. They tried to cheat and lie their way out of refunding a security deposit. Very disappointing. Had to go to small claims court... where the judge ruled in my favor. Stay clear of these folks. read more

My first visit was just to buy some packing paper and 3 moving boxes. When I got home I realized I had only picked up two of them. A few day later I went back and explained that I had only picked up two but had paid for three and the guy behind the counter was so nice, he let me take the box and I didn't even have my receipt! They also have a great price on packing tape and tape guns. Thanks for the great service! read more

Do NOT use them! They took over my Storage facility that I worked with for 10 year... Cloverdale Storage. Very rude, disorganized, the gates have not worked for two weeks and they told me that I am paying for storage, not security. Charged me a late fee when I was on auto pay and said it was my fault. I am moving out. Rent elsewhere!! read more
