I have to go down a star here due to the sheer price increase of the units which is happening more and more often. When I first came here my unit was $89 per month. That was a fair price. Now that same unit is $182. That is outrageous. They also went up from $50 to $70 for liens which doesn't really make sense either. If we can't pay our monthly payment, or other payments, how are we going to pay the $70 for the lien notice fee? Raising fees for people who already obviously don't have money doesn't work. They can't give you what they don't have. This is just greed from the owners who are probably already millionaires. The only time storage units at this price are worth it is if you're storing things that are very expensive - 10 $15k TV's, a bunch of expensive computers, or things that you cannot replace, etc. Don't waste your money storing a couch and a kitchen table. Sell them and buy new ones when you're where you end up. If you plan on having to store things for more than a year then just sell whatever you can instead. You'll save yourself a ton of money and thank me later. The only things that should be stored for longer than a year are things that cannot be replaced. Another drawback is not being able to access our units 24/7. In the heat of the summer it would be so much easier to be able to go in at night and do things but we can't here. An old storage place I used had 24/7 access so I'm not sure why this one doesn't. We have to enter a code to get in so you know who it is plus there's cameras everywhere. We can't do anything until the fall or winter because it's too hot. Basically, only store things that you can't afford to lose. Everything else, sell it, then buy something else when you get to where you're going. read more

The climate controlled facility is clean and available via coded entry. The people that we've spoken with are friendly, albeit sometimes difficult to reach through the automated phone system. The value is poor because the price continues to rise without merit. When we first started at the locally owned facility, the price was $100/month for the first 10x10. We had added another 10x10 in the new area for $80/month. Now the rooms are almost $350, close to double for the same space! Since StorageSense.com took over, the system automatically charges for insurance, taking it to $400, more than double our long term costs! That sheds doubt on the value of what we store there, making me feel foolish. We really are disappointed in the storage options. read more

My entire 7-month experience at Storage Sense on Bert Kouns has been phenomenal. At the start, Miracle signed me into my space, and the transaction was smooth and pleasant. It has been nice to know that my things were unaffected by climate; this place is climate-controlled. Once, when I had questions about my billing, Janiah was there to explain thoroughly and to resolve the matter instantly. Today I moved out, and both Aaron and Miracle were there to give me a seamless exit, and I was told what to expect regarding the bill for this final month. 5 stars isn't enough to give to this place. read more

I searched all over town for climate controlled storage when I needed it, and was getting scared that I might actually find any anywhere in Shreveport, and I was getting further and further out, farther and farther away from where I live, but I finally landed here, at I-49 and East Bert Kouns. I really like it. And boy is it climate controlled! During these boiling months, there is nothing more refreshing, as I move all sorts of stuff around, then walking into my storage building and getting blasted, and I mean blasted, by icy-cold air from the powerful air conditioner they have here at this storage facility! And in the winter months, it''s more than warm enough as well. They will auto-debit your account once a month for payment and I like that as well. read more

Super nice folks, clean, secure area. My one complaint was that I was searching for a place that I could access 24/7. The website is misleading and hints that access is 24/7 , but it is only until 9 PM. Of course I didn't know this until I was about to move. Then, when I called, I was advised the closing time was 6, which is the time for some of the storage areas, but not all. This was very confusing to navigate accross country. It's really a shame because I was stoked about the place and the kind people-just really needed something 24 hours. read more
