Two and a half weeks ago, we provided the address of our new home in Queensbury and requested delivery. We were then informed that PODS had moved our three containers to a facility that does not serve our destination and that we could drive an hour to pick up our belongings ourselves. Since then, we have repeatedly asked PODS for its plan to deliver our containers to the destination specified in our contract. Instead, we have been passed from supervisor to supervisor without a resolution or a delivery plan. We are simply asking PODS to fulfill the delivery it agreed to when we entered into our contract.

Now, "temperature controlled" means they heat only up to 55 degrees and "cool" down to 80 degrees. Guardian kept the temperatures at around 68, which is what a customer deserves. I also heard that the head honcho at Prime told his employees to charge customer some fees without notifying said customers first. When an employee refused to do that, insisting on making a courtesy call, that employee was fired for insubordination. Prime seems to hold its customers in contempt, squeezing every penny out of us and offering no true security or good service in return. It's disgusting to think that a company is run by a man with no decent goodness. I usually don't post reviews but I feel it's important to protect those who might be hoping to store their belongings in a truly temperature-controlled unit.

After calling several times and already have paid for our deposit I was determined that this would be a good storage unit to keep our things in until we closed on our house. Overall it's a quiet area and we felt our stuff would be safe. They do require either renters insurance or you purchase their own which was not an issue for us. Prices vary based on location. They are not temperature controlled which was fine and they're all on the same level, pull up your car and get things out. We came in on January 5 and plan on getting things out by February 5 so we are charged for the month which is nice. No contracts or mandatory stay unlike others. It's also gated and each person gets their own code to enter. We think this is the best storage unit (location and price was) in the Schenectady/Rotterdam region.
