I found them one day in NYC, learned about them from a floral designer, bc they have all kinds of rare orchids and have an awesome reputation, I didn't realize they were basically my neighbors! Their orchids are local, and because they're not being shipped all over the blooms last FOREVER, I'm talking 6 months, better than a Wegman's orchid and same price. They are extremely friendly and passionate and will help you learn if you are new to growing orchids.. They grow so many rare varieties and hybridize their own. It's super fun just to visit and walk around their greenhouse for a weekend afternoon

The numbers and letters on the stick in the plant are: SO below that 1899 below that 7-15 and below that a line and then what looks like 5 + 17 ? If it helps it was in a very small bot for the size of the plant and root bound as I repotted it right away and it's a good thing I did because there was a lot of dead roots because the bot was so small! I hope this information will help to identify the plant name! By the way the gentlemen the gave the talk was very informative an I believe he was a son of the owner, and he said he was doing the lab work himself for the company! You can probably get better prices on bulk shrubs if you go all the way to Gasko's, but I rarely buy in bulk so this place definitely hits the spot for my needs. They have a cute little meditation koi pond near the storefront. I find the place to be a little disheveled in that if you walk around, beyond the plant and shrub area, you'll find a smorgasbord of trees, pavers, and landscaping items somewhat randomly laid around the property. We've gotten great deals on some of these items... while they may not be featured for sale, they'll work out a price with you. For example, after roaming around I came across a huge oddly shaped paverstone I needed, which was discontinued from mass production, and a (really) old tree which the owner said he could dig out and deliver. Great finds. Anyway, I am glad this place exists, and is nearby.

The food alone is worth the trip! The giant BBQ turkey leg with mashed potatoes and gravy is a must-try. The ribs are also outstanding. Wash it all down with a refreshing homemade lemonade, and don't leave without grabbing some homemade donuts. One tip: eat first, then spend the rest of the day walking the market to help burn off all those delicious calories! We'll definitely be back.

I was derelict in my Yelping of this institution for far too long. I was here seeking out Amish cottage cheese which I haven't been able to get at the Trenton farmers market for many years. I knew it would be located in the Amish wing but I needed to walk the rest of the building too. I entered that section to find crowds of people everywhere. To view the prepared hot foods would have required standing in a long line just to eventually get close enough to peek at the cases. I found the cottage cheese prepackaged and decided to walk around the rest of the place before returning to make a few purchases. There were so many temptations in the Amish part, pretzels, prepared salad items, donuts, baked goods in general and of course the meats. The rest of Columbus has treasures to be found as well, depending on your outlook. Discount over the counter drugs, health and beauty,craft soda and pickles, clothes of all kinds, shoes, housewares. I could probably go on. Really something for everyone. My stroll took me past a chicken shop that once I caught the smell of its fried goods, I knew I'd be trying on my way back. At the far end where other food stalls are I saw a taqueria that I plan on trying next trip. With a bag full of fried goodness I was no longer concerned about the Amish foods. I grabbed the cottage cheese and walked out with just a bit of regret that I didn't snag a donut or a dozen. I popped into the produce building just to see what was there. Nice looking veggies but most were sold in bulk. Towards the end of this building is a seafood market that I've heard good things about. Now I have more reasons to return. 4.5 stars !
