This is about to be a long review. But if you want the short version: "If you're looking for flooring - GO HERE!" Let me tell you about the amazing experience I had with Dollar Floors. I just recently purchased a home and the ENTIRE flooring of the home needed to be replaced. This is a 3 story, split level home. I had a lot of ideas of what I wanted, but didn't know where to start. I did bit of Google/Yelp research and found 2 companies I wanted to go with. Dollar Floors and another. I called on the phone to make sure someone was at the shop, and had the pleasure of speaking with Clinton. Clinton was great over the phone and let me know he would be there when I arrived. When I arrived, Clinton was fantastic. He showed me all their flooring options (which is ALOT). They have laminate, vinyl, hardwoods, carpets and tile. Clinton was patient and let me go back and forth with my decisions. I scheduled an appointment for them to come out to measure 11am the following week. The day arrived for measurement and in walks TJ. *cue dramatic music* TJ knows his business. He went through my house and measured my rooms, and drew up floor plans in less than 30 minutes. When it came to picking out what flooring would go where, TJ and I had a difference of opinion. TJ is a hardwoods man... me, myself, I like tile. He disagreed. I almost wanted to quit right then and there. But he was persistent and let me know "listen, i'll do whatever you want, but i'm just saying..." I thought we'd never get along after that. He left and told me he'd have an estimate me to by that evening. TJ is a man of his word. That evening by 6pm, I received my detailed estimate. I was shocked at how low the quote was. No way you could do my whole house for this low of an amount! I was sure there was an error. I received the quote from the other company I had chosen and Dollar Floors' quote was TWO THOUSAND dollars less! TWO THOUSAND. Of course I was going with them. TJ was the contact for my flooring project. I let him know I wanted the floors done before I actually moved in. He said, it may be an issue with the tile work I wanted done, but he would see what he could do. Would you believe it... not only did he finish the entire home before my move date, he was TWO days ahead of schedule. Everyone who worked on the home did SUCH great work. The hardwoods, tile and carpet are all amazing. TJ said he was gonna get me to love him by the end of my project, and he was right! I LOVE TJ! He was professional, courteous, and always did what he said he would. I AM IN LOVE WITH MY FLOORS. They look amazing. The before and after shows their great work. We used them under a general contractor. Generously giving them 2 stars. Products we chose are good. Price is decent. Sales team are good and helpful. The owner is arrogant and lacks customer skills bragging about the millions of dollars of sold jobs this year. The installation crew did not take note of our agreement that we dod not want thresholds or quarter round moulding to hide their average skill to install. They scratched the walls when installing the carpet on the stairs and said nothing about it. They cut linoleum for the covered patio with the grain print opposite with the rest of the house. When I asked the installers to not glue it that way I was told "It's already cut"; so they just installed it that way. Overall experience is not good for the price. I would not recommend them or use them again. read more

I recently purchased flooring for my kennel building from Dollar Floors in Alpharetta. I cannot say enough great things about them. Clinton, Clifton, and Jose were very personable and very professional; they definitely know their business. There were several different challenges on my project that they had to work through, and they handled each one beautifully. DON'T LET THE NAME FOOL YOU! I refused to believe that there is really such a thing as a dollar floor. What would that even look like? After seeing this store frequently pop up during my search for local flooring stores, I decided to check them out. It's not what you think because as suspected, they don't sell floors for a dollar. Back in the day, they were located in Cumming and sold really inexpensive floors. However, now that they have relocated to Alpharetta, they carry recognized brands such as Shaw and Armstrong. Their selection included carpet, laminate, luxury vinyl and solid wood. We were very impressed with their solid wood options because they were very substantial and definitely quality. They also carry kitchen cabinets and tile if you are interested. We had hoped to speak with the employee in the store in detail about flooring and the full range of services they offer. However, there was only one employee available and a very talkative customer who was actually interested in the guys who weren't working at the time of his visit. Bottom line, we didn't feel like standing around waiting for this guy to run out of wind and there was no customer seating available so we bounced. One of the things I really appreciate about full service flooring stores is that they will always have tables with seating available so that you are able to sit down, lay everything out and make some decisions. This store did not have such a space. If you have general questions about flooring and their services you may consider calling before making the trip. ***This store is located at the intersection of Atlanta Highway and MacFarland Rd, (facing McFarland). These guys are top-notch from start to finish. Quick to respond with a visit for a quote. Great selections, super customer service. TJ was prompt and without a doubt the best price for my job. Jose and his assistant arrived early (wonderful) and worked like machines. Finished and cleaned up, set all furniture back as it was, and were just delightful. I highly recommend this company. Not that I anticipate any problems, but based on this performance I know that TJ will make good on any issue. Got the LVP flooring for upstairs (4 bedrooms) and a handsome Berber carpet for the stairs and office downstairs. Beautiful job! read more

We had three estimates for flooring and went with Dollar Stores because they were less. Needless to say I was in for the shock of my life. They sent a crew of three. They pounded my subfloors causing broken wood. My ceilings fell with nail pops. They covered the broken wood as if nothing happened. I called the store for them to come to my home and repair the damages. I have yet to hear from the own TJ. He was the man that came for the estimate. I had no idea that he was the owner. The man has not returned my calls or come to my home. I was hoping for resolution before filing a lawsuit. Don't be fooled by their nice store and the friendly people that you meet at the store. We visited Dollar Floors Showroom and met with Clinton Lamb. He showed us several styles of carpeting and LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) flooring. We selected both carpeting for our existing carpeted bedrooms and LVP for the balance of our home. On the date we selected, his work crew of 3 men arrived @ 9:00 AM, moved all the furniture from the bedrooms into other areas of the home, pulled up the old carpeting, installed the new, including new padding and baseboard molding. They then proceeded to do the same with the existing manufactured hardwood floor surfaces. Except that since we selected a 3/16" LVP, it did not require removing the old flooring and the new flooring and baseboard molding, furniture replacement, and cleanup was completed by 8:30 PM. The entire house was recarpeted and LVP installation in 1 day. My wife and I could not be happier with the products we selected and the crew and company, DOLLAR FLOORS, that we chose to do the work.
