The unit we rented had clear signs of rodent damage to the drywall, with holes large enough to allow passage of rodents. Due to a time crunch and it being the only available unit large enough for our items, I elected to patch those holes myself prior to placing our belongings in the unit. I also placed glue traps, bait units, and I spray rodent repellent. Those efforts have not been enough. The root problem is with the rollup doors. (My unit has two). The weatherstripping is old and deteriorated. They were also poorly installed, with very large gaps for them to get in. So I am left to checking our unit every few days, setting traps, refilling bait stations, etc. We do not store any food items to attract the rodents. It was supposed to be a temporary storage situation, so I thought I could deal with it. At the time of this writing, however, COVID-19 has extended the need to store our items for and unknown period. So doing my own pest control is going to quickly get old. For the last two years, we have rented another unit with another company. I was initially concerned about rodents when we rented it. I placed bait stations and glue traps there. I have never had a problem there. I believe the difference is that it is a newer, all-metal unit and the door is installed much tighter. So keep that in mind when shopping for a place to store your items. This company just changed hands from StoreSmart to CubeSmart. The autopay that I had set up with StoreSmart apparently didn't get transferred. A call to customer service with CubeSmart (which was pleasant) and an online update had this quickly resolved. On a positive note, Harriet has always been pleasant when I call or visit the office. My unit just needs maintenance and/or replacement of the doors. It remains TBD whether CubeSmart will address the obvious shortcomings of this location. read more

RIPOFF!!!! Management sucks, poor customer service, they never answer the phone and take forever returning calls, would never rent or refer anyone to this establishment PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!! I rented a outdoor covered space for my 40' trailer the facility is very difficult to get in and out of, management had to let me in and out thru the side emergency entrance therefore limiting access to my trailer because someone had to be there to unlock the gate, management was verbally told in person that I would not be returning a month in advance and actually left a week prior to the first of the next month, fast forward two months later I was still being charged because a lock was left behind on a obvious empty parking space that you knew the customer was vacating.... read more

Very poor service. I'm moving across country to Fayetteville and was in need of a storage unit in which my things are being shipped in a Smartbox. I reserved a unit online, the facility never called me, I called them to inquire of procedures for having a box dropped and unloaded, I assured the clerk that the box would be unloaded and picked up in a matter of hours. All I needed was to have the box dropped in a corner of the facility that would be out of the way for a few hours. Before hearing the situation the ignorant clerk rudely interrupted and says "no we don't have no space for container folk" lol ok, container folk? After still trying to explain the unloading process of the box she will refused and told me to get my refund from the website and that "we don't want nor need your business". Hmmm ok I guess corporate management is ok with giving away paying customers. Anyway, if you want to speak to someone that's rude, ignorant and uses bad grammar this is your place. But if you're moving with a pod or container of some sort and just looking for some customer service take your business elsewhere! Have a good one!! read more
