I give Tasha credit her food is always good the escovitch style wings had amazing flavor and the bison meatballs as well. The coconut shrimp wasn't bad I just forget i am not a fan of coconut. You can sit indoors or out but outside you have karaoke which was great entertainment. I would like to see more staff and more organization when it comes to paying but overall a fun time

Came here with family for a Friday night dinner. This is a cozy place. Only about 6 or 8 tables. The bar was very busy as well. We were greeted by the server & we sat down. It had been raining so hubby & I decided to order the French Onion Soup. Very delicious. The chef came out & asked how we liked his soup. We told him it was yummy! He then told us there was a lot of wine in the soup! I responded- now I know why I enjoyed it so much! My daughter got the chicken & sliders combo. She said it was very good. Hubby & I ordered the 10 Oz rib eye steak. Very tender & delicious. He got fries. I asked for the roasted broccoli. It was a bit Al dente- I would have preferred steamed or in garlic & oil. I definitely will come back to try other things on their menu.

While at a travel conference in Ft Lauderdale we wanted a place to sit outside and grab a drink and a bite. Right next to the main railroad line is The Butcher's Barrel. Walk right in, get seated and enjoy a local brew, wine, etc and a great tasting menu. When I am back in Ft Lauderdale I'll be back!!

This place has been on my go to list for a while, and finally on Friday night, my husband and I decided to eat dinner here before walking over to Funky Buddha. It's a small restaurant with a large U shaped bar. There's a seating area outside as well. We went a little for early dinner around 5:15pm. Whiles the tables were all empty, the bar had several people sitting at it. We were greeted right away, and both the bartender/server and chef/owner (maybe?) were friendly and helpful. We each got a glass of wine and ordered the French onion soup for an appetizer by recommendation. The soup was beyond amazing. It had a nice touch of sweetness too it and was not salty like some French onion soups can be. The bread in it still had a good crunch to it. The chef came by and explained how he made the soup. For meals, my husband got the bison burger, which he loved. It came with broccoli that was super crisp. I got the burnt ends mac and cheese. It came with homemade bar-b-que sauce, and everything was SO good. Honestly, everything we ate and drank was delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Flat iron steak with onions and chimichurri with fries

Yes, another 5 star in Oakland Park's culinary district! Three of us had dinner at The Butcher's Barrel. It is a combo butcher shop (although I did not see meat displayed any where) restaurant, bar and wine tasting room. It's been open for several years now. They open at 5 pm. We arrived at 5 as the first patrons. By the time we left, at 6:30 the place was full. They have a steady and faithful clientele. The bartender was also the butcher. He told us the flat iron steak was the special that night. It was 8 ounces sliced nicely with grilled onions and a chimichurri sauce on top. It came with French fries. We ordered 3 of them, medium rare (although I'd say they came medium well). Very tender and the chimichurri was absolutely delicious. A very good entree for $30. We also ordered roasted broccoli and blackened brussel sprouts. The sides were large enough for 3 of us. They were excellent. We had draft beers from local breweries. Although we did not order wine, we inquired about the selection. They had some very good wine country bottles from vineyards we have visited. The bottle prices were reasonable - a popular red blend for $35 and more fancy Cabernets for $80. No gouging here! In the future, they are looking to host a beef and wine tasting with samples of the proper beef cuts for each wine. Sounds interesting! Overall, we had a delightful experience and I will definitely be back.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Butcher Barrel tonight, and I can honestly say this was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time! From the moment we walked in, Ryan made us feel right at home. His warm and welcoming personality was the perfect start to our evening. He took the time to walk us through the menu, and his and all of his recommendations were spot-on. We kicked off with his the Hungarian Goulash, just outstanding on a cold night like tonight. After this we had Deviled Eggs, Butcher Balls (hands down, the moistest meatballs we've ever had!), and Crispy Brussels Sprouts. Each Dish was better than the last. Dining on the patio was exceptional, just a great little spot. We genuinely can't wait to come back and bring all of our friends and family. We've been to many top-tier restaurants, and Butcher Barrel ranks easily in our top 5. Thank you so much, Ryan, for making this such a memorable experience! We'll definitely be back soon!

Got the steak frite and it was cooked to perfection. Service was prompt and friendly. Ambiance was industrial with a good bit of echo which made conversation a bit difficult but not horrible. Really enjoyed my meal.

The Butcher's Barrel delivered an unforgettable dining experience! Starting with the wings, they were absolutely perfect--tender, falling right off the bone. The combination of baking and deep frying created a delightful texture, while the homemade hot sauce added just the right amount of heat and flavor. Every bite was heavenly. The thin-cut fries on the side were another highlight. Lightly salted and wonderfully soft, they paired perfectly with the wings, adding to the overall experience. The lollipop lamb was nothing short of spectacular. The smoky flavor deeply penetrated the meat, creating a rich, mouth-watering taste. Seasoned to perfection, each bite was a flavor explosion. The pita and hummus on the side were the perfect complements to this dish, making it even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a place where every dish leaves a lasting impression, The Butcher's Barrel is it! Highly recommended. As for the service, except EXCELLENT customer service. The waiter/bartender was always making sure we were comfortable & enjoying the food. We did go early on a Saturday, so the ambiance was quiet and chill. It is definitely a casual place and inside was kind of smaller than what we expected but it was still comfortable enough for us. They also have outside seating if that's your thing. They do have Happy Hour & would LOVE to come back and see what they have. (I definitely will by the way). More pictures and reviews on my instagram - @foodznbrewzz

Between the music, lots of 90s and 00s rock, which I love. The lineup of classic arcade games from the 80s through early 2000s, it's the ultimate nostalgia overload in the best way possible. That combo alone makes this place stand out. The setup is simple and perfect: buy one drink and you get a wristband for unlimited arcade play. I'm not exaggerating when I say I can spend hours here without even realizing it. We're talking Tekken, Street Fighter, Skee-Ball, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Killer Queen, Frogger, Galaga, Space Invaders, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros... and that's barely scratching the surface. It's such a fun date spot too! Super laid-back, interactive, and guaranteed laughs. Every time I come here, I leave with great memories. There's a huge parking lot in front and street parking all over so you're fine in that department. Glitch Bar forever!! If you're in FTL and haven't been yet, you're seriously missing out. 10/10 recommend!

Two of us ordered drinks right away and sat at the bar playing video games. The rest of our group was still deciding what they wanted, which we understood fell under the one drink minimum per person rule. One friend sat with us at the bar while we had our drinks and was told by the bartender that she couldn't sit there without purchasing a drink, so she moved. She then stood near our other friends, who were playing an arcade game, and they were told they could not play unless they each bought a drink. At this point, they stood behind us at the bar to look over the menu and decide what they wanted, but that didn't seem to matter. The bartender repeatedly returned and escalated the situation instead of allowing any reasonable time to order, stating they could get water if they wanted and that it did not have to be alcoholic. After only a couple of minutes, the same bartender came out from behind the bar again and said in a rude, condescending tone that they "don't understand... if they don't buy a drink, then they can't even be in the building." Our friends explained that we had already purchased drinks and were simply deciding what we wanted, but at that point, they were turned off by his behavior and no longer wanted anything--and frankly, neither did we. We cashed out our tab, finished our drinks, and left. We were already paying customers and would have ordered more drinks, but the handling of the situation made that impossible. Instead, the business lost not only our additional sales, but also several friends who were planning to join us and spend money. We are local to the area and not teenagers causing a disturbance, which is what the situation felt like when our friends were told to leave for no clear reason. I understand house rules like a one-drink minimum, but there is a professional way to enforce them. This wasn't it. Not everyone can or wants to order immediately--whether due to preferences, pacing, or dietary restrictions--and the lack of flexibility or basic courtesy was disappointing. Instead of encouraging guests to stay and order more, the approach did the opposite. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my impression of the place, and I don't see myself returning. There are other spots in the area with a similar concept that offer a much more welcoming and customer-friendly experience, and I would recommend exploring those instead.

We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there.
