No complaints there. The second time, hubby and I were traveling to Washington DC/Norfolk VA. Then on to Chicago. The hotel room in DC wasn't anything special, but who cares, we were not there to lay around a hotel all day. We booked a rental car through AT at both legs of our trip. No biggie there. Compact car, perfect. Chicago. We stayed in Schaumburg IL. I lived there, and know my way around town, plus the rooms in Chicago are MUY expensive. The room we had for 8 days was AWESOME. I don't recall the name, as it was 12 years ago. The room was very affordable and came with a hot breakfast everyday. I'm leaving for Chicago in just a few days, and rolled in to AT this morning to make sure there have not been any changes to the schedule, and just to reassure myself that the things I've asked for are noted on my trip ticket. We were told that 1/2 of the air fare would be refunded through vouchers. While trying to apply vouchers today to a trip I was told by the agent they weren't responsible , I'd have to contact the second party company they go through, whom then told me I'd have to contact the airlines whom then after three phone calls and hours on the phone, told me they weren't responsible. My first and last experience with a travel agency. I contacted a travel professional to make sure there were no glitches. No...never again.

She also does tours: Bravus, Cosmos, Trafalgar, Signet,... I got my airline ticket mostly thru email communication with Ann. Even though it was $10-20 more than online booking, I preferred the interaction with a human vs a computer screen. Plus, she got me 2 city airports (HND, and TSA), instead of the far away international airpots at the outskirts of the cities. I never stepped foot into the store, until later on when I decided to also have her handle/obtain my Visa to China. Ann advised me that for a nominal fee of $30, she could take care of the Chinese Visa for me. This is a great price and service, especially for those who are too busy to take time off from work (but not enough to not take a long deserved vacation) to take care of it. $30 is very reasonable considering that I do not have to take half day off from work, drive to K-town, look for parking, pay for parking, and deal with Chinese Consulate employees. Then, repeat again the following week when I need to pick up the Passport with the Visa. Will definitely come back to sign up for tours and other international bookings.

He planned an enormous trip around the world numerous times, and managed to make it so effortless that we really didn't have a single thing to worry about. He handled everything from flights, car rentals, transfers, hotels, tours, train tickets, essentially anything we needed, all put in a neat itinerary and ready every time we took off. He answered all of our questions promptly and he'd solve any problem we threw at him with ease if we wanted to change things up. He found hotels I'd have never found on my own, has loads of industry friends and got us VIP treatment just about everywhere we went, and always had suggestions on interesting places to go when we ran out of ideas. He has great taste, and we are admittedly a bit spoiled now that he has introduced us to some really fabulous hotels around the world. You can come home a day early.... so insulting I felt that she could've offered to look into other resorts that were in our budget. Which she did offered to do. But she said... I will not be able to do it today which was disappointing to all of us as we look forward to sealing the deal to our trip that day.
