We had a great tour with Rosemary! What a fun and fabulous way to see Palm Springs. We arrived there a few minutes early and check in was a breeze. We got to meet our hostess Rosemary, had fun dressing up, and taking pictures with her before our tour started. She was a wonderful guide and we learned so much about the rich history of Palm Springs. She also threw out recommendations for restaurants and activities to do while we were in the area, which we really appreciated. It was a smooth ride around town in their air conditioned bus. We were provided with fans and water bottles as well. Bonus that you can bring your own alcohol! We each brought a cup of wine with lids with us. And don't forget to tip your hostess! read more

When a family member heard we were going to PS she recommended Drag & Fly Tours and I texted her within our first 5 minutes of the tour to thank her because I already knew it was a great call. I wanted to check if I could have my small dog with me before booking the tour and they were very easy to reach and communicate with by email. Booking the tour online was easy and when they had to move the tour up by a half hour they reached out to ensure that worked with our scheudle. We arrived a few minutes before the start of our tour and were able to meet Kevin and our tour guide Rosemary and take some fun pictures. The tour bus and driver are great! We had so much fun seeing the sights, hearing stories and learning about the history of Palm Springs. The tour took us past iconic homes, landmarks and the highlights of the tour which for us were Robolights and the Trixie Motel since we had watched the renovation show. Drag & Fly Tours is located in downtown Palm Springs. They just moved to a new store front location so the idea isn't in complete fruition but the shop is pretty iconic and provides great photo opportunities. They do allow you to bring your own alcohol but must be unopened prior to entering the bus. My friend had her bachelorette in Palm Springs and loves a good drag queen. So we booked drag & fly tours for a Saturday pm event. The ticket is $119 for a 90 minute guided tour. Honestly it was a great tour and loved the idea just really can't justify the price. I think if a photo or a cocktail was included it would make it worth it. Otherwise, our tour guide Gemini was phenomenal and an absolute hoot. Very theatrical and fun! The tour was informative and learned quite a bit about Palm Springs. Heads up they have no bathrooms on the bus so be prepared to hold it or until they can accommodate a pit stop. read more

This was a fantastic sightseeing tour of Palm Springs! We were able to see all of the most amazing sights from the comfort of a state of the art Mobile Theater! This beautiful van was tricked out with the latest audio- visual equipment that played informative and entertaining videos with catchy jingles about the homes and history of the area. Our guide was Danity Zann a local drag performer, who twirled and "sang" while sharing all the juicy gossip about the town's famous Hollywood stars and a few infamous current residents! It's fun, it's fabulous and exactly what you would want and expect from a Palm Springs tour. Other guests even took advantage of getting into drag for a pre-show photo op. It was the best! Rosemary was amazing! We have a teen who loves anything drag and drag tv shows. Rosemary and the check-in host, inside the store front, were so warm, welcoming, positive & inclusive. The tour was great. Lots of interesting points of interest and drive by sights. Heavy on the LGBTQ history in the city, which we appreciated and did not know but also included general city history, celeb. history, as well. The spouse and I brought our own cocktails on the bus (bonus). After the bus tour, we were given the opportunity to dress up a little and take super fun and silly pictures with Rosemary in the beautiful showroom. They made us feel special. I feel their passion for drag and LGBTQ issues was so genuine and inspiring. I'm a huge Rosemary fan now! Can't say enough great things about this tour. Appreciated the old Palm Springs celeb gossip! We were visiting from San Diego just before Memorial Day Weekend and such a fun time was had! This tour is so unique and so well put together, very informative and extremely entertaining from the mobile theatre and videos to our fantastic tour guide, the boss lady herself, Anita Doll. Shout out to our magical driver as well. The tour covers local history, art, architecture, and tales of the rich and famous just to name a few. You never know what you'll see on tour as we had a "cheeky" experience going by the Trixie Motel, haha. Cute and all in good fun. This genius tour idea was just waiting for the perfect queen to make it happen. It is an architectural tour similar to the crowded 200$ tours during modernism week, but so much better because they are intimate, spacious and FUN. Only 12 people can be on this tour, and in the specially designed RV you sit in, you actually become the attraction for passers by. Everyone had fun, both those of us who were on the bus, and those observers watching the spectacle from outside the bus. I'm a local, and 100% would go on this tour again. I'd love to see them branch out and feature guest performers who are already known in PS, or collaborate with PS AIR. Besides the spectacle of a high-speed drag show, our host is also supremely talented at video production (he was formerly an Entertainment reporter with CNN) so the visuals and drone shots of all the properties we visited were top notch. SandySays this is a unique and fun experience and worth the price of admission. I purchased this tour for 4 women that were in Palm Springs on Dec 31st to celebrate an engagement. I had heard wonderful things about the tour and had seen the bus around town and the girls were really looking forward to a sassy drag experience. Miss Rosemary was a really wonderful guide and the unique bus design so cool - however - my guests said the overall experience was dampened quite a bit by two bratty kids aged about 10 and 12. I've been to many different types of Drag experiences and they are not really appropriate for young children... they don't get the humour or context and it's generally just boring for them so they get restless and annoying. Unfortunately I don't think my guests got to really experience the full sassy fury of Miss Rosemary on the tour because her style was cramped by those kids - and sassy Miss Rosemary was really what we signed up for - instead we got the PG version and that was disappointing. Perhaps they could offer 1 "tamed down family appropriate version" of the tour a day or week but make a NOTE of that on the website so people know what they are signing up for (or rather not signing up for) ... for all other tours - I might suggest putting a recommendation of 18 years and up. read more

Drag and Fly Tours was the absolute highlight of our Palm Springs trip. Our guide, Rosemary, was gorgeous, hilarious, and wildly entertaining, but also impressively knowledgeable. The whole thing felt like a moving cabaret with a PhD in Palm Springs history. I'm a longtime Hollywood film buff and an architecture nerd, so seeing those two worlds collide was pure joy. Hearing the stories behind the homes while cruising past so much mid-century beauty was basically my idea of a perfect afternoon. I had a friend coming into town for the holidays and was looking for something fun to do. I. had heard of drag and fly tours and looked it up and decided to book two seats for the tour.  The bus is small carrying only 13 guests so reserve early.  We met at the bar at the new Thompson Hotel and the group had a chance to sit and talk with our tour guide and then we headed to the bus parked right outside the hotel.  We took off and had a great time.  We drove through many of the historic  neighborhoods of downtown Palm Springs.  We all had funny hats and boa's on and we played bingo during the tour. We stopped at the Drag Queen Crossing Sign on Arenas Road and took pictures and. headed back to the Thompson. hotel. Tour takes 1.5 to 2 hours and is full of great scenery and fun information from the drag queen tour guide. read more
