Beware !!! We ordered a woodstove in August 2022 and were told we would have delivery in 2 weeks, then delivery in October, then delivery in December and then finally January 2023. We were quoted a price in August, however once the stove was finally installed we received a bill $600 over the original quote with no explanation! We contacted Mark, the manager and he refused to discuss this issue and would not honor the original quote.. We would never buy anything from Stove Keepers or refer anyone to go there. read more

Never Again !!! Last year I Pre-Puchased wood pellets at their Pre-Buy Price. They immediatly charged my Charge Card. That indicates to me a "CONTRACT" ----- 2 months later - just before delivery - I received a letter indicating that if I wanted the premium pellets I ordered, I would have to pay more as their price went up.HELLOOOOOOO--- Do we know the meaning of Pre Buy ??? Store cancelled numerous times on me. After the 4th cancelation over the course of 2 months I requested to cancel the order. I was informed that there is a restocking fee. This was never explained when I ordered the stove. Filled A dispute with Capital One and the response letter sent by the Stove Keepers to Capital One had numerous lies in it. I have asked numerous times to speak with the owner but I have yet to hear anything from him. read more

I purchase a room tempature probe from Stove Keepers of Brookline NH. I told them I had a Harman P68, they sold me a probe they claimed was made for that stove. When I tried to install the probe it wouldn't fit. I called the stores and spoke with someone who claimed to be the store manager (wouldn't give me his name). I informed him that the probe didnt fit my stove and wanted to return or swap it for one that fit. He informed me that their store policy is no returns on electrical items. He also informed me that he recently found out the Harman changed the style on the probe and without modification the probe wouldn't work. I said so let me get this stright! You sold me a part that you knew wouldnt work unless I modified it?? ontop of that you refuse to take it back because of your store policy! I then asked him why he wouldnt disclose to me that I needed to make a modification prior to selling it to me? I explained that if he told me that I needed to make the modification and decided to make the purchase anyway then I could see the no return policy. But, to purposely withhold that information then hide behind a so called store policy is just plain wrong!! When I told him that I was going to write this review he stated " That's awesome we love it when that happens" Do yourself a favor and find another store. read more

This place should be the model for all businesses in regards to customer service. The young man that helped us today was not only extremely knowledgable about the products they sell but he was eager to share it with us. He did not for one second make us feel like we were bothering him with all our questions and showed a genuine interest in helping us. All this while we spent a mere $26.00! We drove over 40 miles to go here because they are the only ones that we found that carried a specific part for our harman XXV stove. The fact that they carried the part was enough but to receive the service we did was amazing. We have many pellet stove stores around us but the next time I need anything for my stove I will go the extra distance to come here! I guess I'm not on the same page as the others who have provided reviews for Stove Keepers. They're great! I bought my first stove (Harmon fireplace insert) 4 years ago. I was fully informed at the time of purchase all of my options for installation including the option to partially or fully line the chiminey. They suggested that becasue I was from MA (MA laws could be different by town), that I should double check the requirements with my town building inspector and THEN make a decision - excellent recommendation). The sales staff were excellent to work with both during the sale and after installation. The installation was very smooth and the installers (Stove Keepers Staff) were professional. They took good care of my newly installed hardwood floors and completed the installation without the slightest of scratches (and the insert in a heavy, awkward beast)! Well, I was so satisfied with the sales and service that I returned to buy a second Harmon stove (P68) two years ago. Once again, the process was smooth and effortless. I just placed my next pellet order today and scheduled my annual stove cleanings. John, Mark, Mark and the group are great to work with! Hats off! read more

We had the same experience as Shadow S. Although the purchase and installation of our pellet stove was great, we pre-bought pellets in 2009 an were informed with a letter a few weeks before delivery that we would have to pay extra in order to get the premium pellets we'd already paid for. Seems like a pure bait and switch to me, and I'm not surprised to see they did it again a year later. We would never trust them again and now order by the ton from Lowe's, with better prices ($190 a ton last year!), who don't tell us we need to pay more right before they deliver. Was very happy with my experience there and will continue to do business with them, but when I was referring them to friends and family, we came to realize that their website needs a little work. Business hours are different on the page than what they really are, causing some confusion for people, and then a few other minor things that I think could be touched up. I came in to get a new exhaust fan for the Harman XXV. The salesperson explained to me some tips on how to replace the old fan and made certain I had the right parts. He gave me a tip on how to get the fan off with a hacksaw if the screw wouldn't budge. I brought it home installed the new fan now my pellet stove is perfectly quiet. It is great they have parts on hand. I liked the service so much I have decided to buy a new Harman stove from them. read more

I have, for the last 10 years bought a pallet of pellets here, every fall, starting when they were located on Route 101-A in Amherst. Never had a problem. This past weekend, I did the usual, borrow a friends truck, drove down to Brookline, waited until the sales men finished selling a few pellet stoves. I asked to buy a ton of New England. I was told I could only buy 10 bags. They had their yard FULL of pallets. The guy told me that they were all accounted for. Really? You dont have enough pellets to sell more than 10 bags at a time? If you cant supply enough pellets to your regular LOYAL clients, is it right to still be selling pellet stoves to people when you wont be able to supply pellets for? I regret being so loyal to a company who isnt. read more

Purchased a 4000.00dollar stove in October 2014 very helpful knew there product,however in December the stove started to make a loud noise it made it hard to hear the tv so wee called them they said bring it back today we drove 1 1/2 hour to get there they would not give use a new part and the worst was their customer service was awful they did.
