They were cheap and on time. I ordered some quality #2 tiles from them and they were delivered on time and super cheap.

Horrible place. Bought an ice maker and after I paid for it online they sent me an email demanding $350 on top of the shipping charge they already billed me. They said they had to crate the ice maker due to them getting damaged I. The shipping process. A few years back I had already bought the same ice maker edgestar IB650ss from another company and it was shipped perfectly in just the box through TForce freight. I told them that but they didn't want to hear that. So, wanting the ice maker I paid the extra crating charge of $350. Shocker, when it arrived , it was on a pallet with 3 plastic banding straps. This is a far cry from a crate and such a joke. I called a few times and nobody will call me back. Another Shocker!!! Stay away from these people. This place feels super scammy. I almost placed an order for a liquidated range hood. In the online checkout process, shipping was listed a bit high, but it was a large item. I didn't checkout, but then got an email saying they could do better with shipping if I called. I called and they quoted me shipping prices 3-5 times higher than listed. I asked what would have happened if I had ordered it through their website and they said they would have called me up and demanded the higher payment later. Yikes! read more

We ordered a trim package for our shower & the plumber showed up to install but the part does not match up to the inner parts even though it's the exact same brand so I contacted the company to find out how to start the return process & I'm told that because the box was opened they will not take it back!!! Are you kidding me, how stupid is that answer. If that was the case, I would magically know before ordering that I don't need it & would not have ordered it to begin with. I would NOT recommend ordering from this company because basically what they're telling me is they do NOT take returns!!!!!!!!! POOR business practice! read more

I bought a track light system, just so happens to say no exchange no refunds but sold me a light with no globes in it...well the globes are I bucks each which defeats the purchase of buying garbage fron this place and spending more. I would give ZERO stars if allowed! We were at the new Murfreesboro location recently and purchased 55 boxes of outdoor tile all of which we were told by Jeff (possibly manager) was in stock in their back warehouse. Prior to charging our credit card we asked about the return policy and Jeff said "You have 30 days to return for a refund." We then learned Stover's couldn't get to their inventory in warehouse because it was blocked by other inventory. We took 30 of the 55 boxes of their display tile and was told they would call when the remainder 25 boxes were available. After waiting and no call we made the 50 mile drive back to check on inventory. Jeff acted like he didn't know anything about our purchase. Another employee remembered us and said the tile was in their back warehouse. We proceeded to inform Jeff that of the 25 boxes remaining, we only needed 8 and to refund the 17. Jeff said "no refunds only exchanges." We kindly reminded him we were never in possession and therefore not an exchange and the fact he personally told us we could be refunded. From other Employees we learned this is a common occurrence with Jeff and he does this to customers often. My review or complaint is not about the actual store Stover's but rather Jeff, a very dishonest and misleading employee. Prior to leaving the store he actually had the audacity to say "Yes, I said you could have a refund but I didn't say it would be your money back. You get a refund with a store credit because I'm treating this as an exchange even if you never had it. I determine Company policy." Terrible representation for a company. read more

Now, when I look at their site the product is now gone and they haven't given me my money back. I should have expected this because they have a woman who handles their order that is incredibly unpleasant to have a conversation. She sounds as if she hates her job and life as well. I went in this place and purchased some stepping stones for my garden. Left there and went to lowes and found them at a cheaper price. Most everything in there seemed over priced and of very poor quality. Don't waste your time.....go to lowes or Home Depot and you will get good service and a better quality. read more

I was able to visit the Cookeville store when I made a trip up to see my daughter and I am so glad I did. We have had an entire kitchen remodel with everything completed except a backsplash. Just walking in let me know that I had made the right decision to stop by ~ they have a HUGE selection of tile and backsplash type tile with terrific prices. After just a couple of moments, Claudia approached me and asked if I needed any help. I explained our countertops, cabinets, and the look I have been struggling to find and she literally NAILED IT! I have been looking for four months, and within five to ten minutes she had what I was looking for laid out. She then spent time helping me pick the perfect color of grout. Thank you, Claudia, for all of your time, help, and the follow up text this morning! You are an angel! read more

Went to the store to purchase hardwood floors for the first time. I gave the square footage needed for both houses I was working on and the salesman worked out what I needed. Problem was he overestimated the product by 25 boxes. I took the extra back to the store for a refund and they said they only give in store credit! Now i am stuck with a $1400 store gift card from their over estimating how much I needed for the square footage! I called the owner at the Cookeville store and my call went his voice mail. Still waiting for his call. The store manager apologized for their poor service and said he hears complaints daily about the quality of the flooring( they say it is contractor grade but it is really cabin grade, lots of putty filler, bent boards, color variation). Run from this place! Poor quality and they purposely mislead you. read more

My first visit to the store. Asked for a 2 ton heat pump. They didn't have one in stock but they said they had one in cookville and could have it here in 3 days. Then wanted payment for the unit "site-unseen". Went back and picked up the unit and took home only to find out it was an air conditioner not a heat pump. And when I called back was told it was their mistake and they would take care of it. When I took the unit back I was told they could only give me store credit not a refund. So I'm out 1500 and still don't have a heat pump. Yes I have a credit for other stuff but I have no heat in my home Buyer beware!! read more

I'm sad to not be able to give a good review. We like looking in this store and previously purchased bricks to build a fire pit. All was well with that purchase. They had what we needed. The bricks were fine. We went back about a week and a half ago. We figured we could find something at a lower price than Lowe's. The associate was very knowledgeable on the flooring we wanted. They did not have enough in stock and would need to order from another warehouse, which we were fine with. We paid $300 and were told the flooring would be there the next Friday. No problem. My husband called on Friday to make sure our purchase had come in. They checked and it was there. We arrived and were told to drive around back so they could bring it to us. After waiting 30 minutes and watching multiple employees run around inside and outside (in the rain), my husband was pulled aside and told that the flooring was not there. He had taken off the following Monday so we could install the flooring. This would give the general 72 hours for the flooring to acclimate to our house. So now we have NO flooring, my husband lost a vacation day and we may or may not have our purchase in another week. There was no real apology and the items are a final purchase. So, we have to wait on our purchase, rather than just go buy somewhere else. We also bought a few more things we would need for the project while they were "getting our flooring that they received". So, now we have wasted money and time on something we could have gotten at Lowe's for about the same price and MUCH LESS hassle-with the option to return if unopened. Ridiculous. Stay away. I gave this 2 stars for the associate's knowledge on the items we wanted. At best, go get all your information there and buy somewhere else. read more

Were told that it was only because they couldn't tamp them down in the store and assured, several times, that it would be fine when tamped down at home. Got home, opened first 6 boxes and had 80-90% damage. Also tried fitting pieces together and tamping down. Didn't work. Had been told in store - and on the phone - is that unopened boxes could be returned for store credit (which is not in any of the policies listed on their website - even the fine print.). Took pictures, video and sample piece and showed up at store when it opened the next day. Only store credit was offered, even though the product was damaged (in contradiction of web policy 1), and not told to contact manufacturer (as noted in policy 2). No choice but to buy alternate flooring from Stovers or lose over $2,000. Only one option in stock in the amount needed, but wrong color. Showed "special order" products - hard wood, nail down, which we didn't want and couldn't really afford. Lowest price option (color/finish) we needed was almost 4X cost of original flooring. It had to be ordered, we had to pay for shipping, and told it would be non-refundable and non-returnable, in contraction to web policy 1. Discovered price we paid was significantly higher than ALL other retailers (Lowe's, Home Depot, Buy Floors Direct, etc.). Policy 1 said we could return it, though we had been told otherwise. Policy 2 said that we could contact manufacturer, except we were told that name of manufacturer was "proprietary" and "private label". With no manufacturer identifying info on any of the boxes, and no staff member able/willing to provide the info, Policy 2 was moot. Back to Policy 3. Summary: No refund for 1st quality, damaged product. No return for hard wood flooring because it was "special order" No manufacturer name for return. read more

I went to buy some times from this liquidation center for my project at home. I gave them the measurements of the walls and they gave me an estimate of how much tiles I will need. I was told at first that I will only need 2 boxes. But when I put the tiles up, I realized that I still need more so I came back and got me tow more boxes of tiles. Again I put them up and fid out that I still lack a few more to get the walk in shower walls covered. But when I came back I, they said that they will not sell only a few but I have to buy the whole box which cost me another hundred dollars. I was very disappointed because I only needed 4 more but I ended up buying the whole box. I was so mad and I was also told that If I buy tiles that I cannot return them anymore, there is also a paper that they will ask you to sign after you pay the merchandise and you have to read it before signing it.. The paper says that there's no return and no exchange policy of the store...I was counting on them to guide me to right direction and will help me finish this project. But they didn't instead they took advantage of my ignorance. Please be careful. Just go to Home Depot, Lowe' s or Floor Direct, they sell newer and cheaper tiles also they take back returns and left over tiles and give your money back...I will NEVER go to that store again... read more
