Nick explained all that was involved, ensured I understood my options, worked with my schedule and just overall was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend and can confidently say they're my plumbers moving forward.

He told us that we would have his personal guarantee to make sure everything is right. We had some trouble during the process at that time, but he did fix it. However, since last year, we noticed some leaks and issues and we tried to contact him many times. We called him several times, left messages, and sent text messages to both of his phones. We never heard back from him. We had to stop using the upstairs bathroom because of leaks through the floor when we shower there. Now we will have guests coming soon and we want to fix it. I called him again several days ago and left a message once again there was no answer and no call back. I wondered if he moved or stopped doing business. But when I did a search online, I found that people were leaving him reviews as recently as three weeks ago and that he was replying. So he was just ignoring us?? Also, the work he did in the past was a bit destructive. When he moved our washer and dryer connection from the garage to inside the house, he made the original pipe unusable. We only found out about this now because we wanted to convert the garage into a living space to have another washer dryer connection. As a result of the way the work was done, the conversion we hope to perform will be significantly more expensive. Perhaps there is a reason to damage an unused main pipe, though I can't think of one.

Lee Company advertises "straightforward pricing" and "no surprise fees," which implies customers…read moreshould receive clear, upfront estimates. When a long‑time customer only learns about a substantial diagnostic fee after the technician arrives, that's a breakdown in communication and not consistent with those promises. It's reasonable to expect to be told the full structure (dispatch + diagnostic + separate repair quote) during scheduling so you can make an informed decision. I usually don't write reviews, but I am compelled to write this review today. I had a scheduled appointment for somebody to take a look at my home regarding electrical switches that were no longer working. The technician did show up, and I acknowledged the $79 dispatch fee. He came in and took a few pictures and then came back to me and told me I needed to pay an additional $255 for him to be able to find out what's wrong. This approach seems so absurd and ridiculous. Lee Company has never done so in all seven years that I've used them. This is the first time, and I'm very disappointed. They could've been much better in their approach. This gimmick here allows them to pad their wallets with both $79 and $255 all at once. What doesn't make sense is that after charging me this amount they would then tell me what it would cost to repair it. What if they tell me that the cost to repair it is $1000? So now I'm out $255 plus $79 if I choose not to proceed. Instead of utilizing these gimmicks, would it not just make sense for them to simply tell people when they're making the appointments that it's not just a $79 fee for dispatch, it's $79 plus $255 for them to actually look at what's going on? It is just sad and disappointing. I think you all should know before you call Lee Company for any work that this is what they are now doing. When I told the technician that I was going to write this review, he said he would just not even charge me the $79, which I don't really care about. I'm happy to pay this stupid $79, but I am so disappointed because it's a waste of my time. They could do better than that.

Quite disappointed and dissatisfied with Advantage Plumbers, primarily per owner Heath Walker's…read morelack of action and misleading reports, this past summer! His was the second highest bid of three requested, but decided he seemed most understanding and professional to correct an apparent drainage clog. This occurred in a basement bathroom, serving two guest bedrooms there, suddenly unappealing due to a smelly situation started by the messy back-flow this spring. Although it took awhile to have him come and complete the contract (bid at an estimated $4,750), I offered him slightly more than a 20% deposit in May, which he declined as too little. Mistakenly, considering his confided personal problem at home, I upped the deposit to $4,000. All of this occurred early in June; however, despite the high pre-payment, we were consistently delayed due to Covid backup of jobs. Finally just prior to our holiday July 4th family reunion, he and a couple assistants arrived, dug a couple holes supposedly to examine the existing drainage pipe (we thought deteriorated), but he ruled OK. Weeks later, he returned, this time carrying a camera/computer (he'd borrowed), showing the Mrs. and me a disc displaying some sort of streaming water to assure us "our" old drainage pipes were properly flowing. All of this was part and parcel of a delayed response and apparently his decision to conclude our contract. When Mrs. Trott queried him further (before departing for another job), he mumbled something about buying acreage near Jackson, TN, and moving over there. Yet nothing about refunding any of our unnecessary hugh deposit paid. Of course, we've since experienced additional backup flows and despite our limited retirement income (I'm retired military), we must now engage a more helpful plumbing professional. We certainly don't recommend this company, surely dis-Advantaged for senior citizens, at least. - Mr. Wm. Trott, Nashville.

UPDATE: Within two minutes of posting this review they attempted to call and text. Turns out this…read moreis what it took to get a response. This time Austin did provide me with a screenshot where a refund was processed. It was dated one day after I had to call the CC company to finalize the dispute (6 days ago). Not sure why they didn't handle this sooner to avoid the CC company getting involved or why they didn't send the screenshot as soon as they had processed the refund. Nonetheless, the experience stays the same but it appears they did eventually process a refund 3 weeks later. We had been recommended Nonstop Commercial Plumbing to have them replace hose bibs on our house. I talked to Austin on the phone to tell him exactly what I wanted done and how I wanted it done and asked for a quote. I never received a quote (even a ballpark idea) until he was on his way to our house 3 days later. At that point I asked for a quote and it was higher than expected but not high enough to start over with someone else. When he got there and I showed him where the two hose bib locations were he acted as if he didn't know there were two and tried to play it off like he was going to give me a deal and only charge me for one. Ironically, I had the text where it was clear I needed two replaced and he had even addressed the pricing accordingly. Anyway, he then talked to my wife about a water filtration system and told us if we wanted to do that he would come back on Friday to install the system and do the hose bibs for "free." We asked specific questions and again I was very clear on my expectations if we were going to do it. We decided to move forward and he took our information to get us on the schedule for Friday (April 10th). However, when he sent us the details over I noticed that the wording was vague and I began asking questions via text with Austin & Josh. Neither of them responded and I noticed my CC had been charged for $2,850. At that point, I told them I needed answers by noon or I would have to dispute with our CC company. When they did answer I had to press them for direct answers and eventually found out they were not planning to install what they had said they would be installing. They were banking on us not knowing anything about water filtration systems and putting in a lesser quality system than what they had sold us. I told them we weren't moving forward and that I expected a refund. Our neighbors had also signed up and let them know they were not going to move forward and needed a refund for the same reasons, they weren't getting what they paid for. At this point, they didn't show up, which is what they had been asked to. However, they never refunded the money and kept telling me they were working on it and giving me excuses. After 3 weeks I let them know I needed the refund processed that day with a screenshot showing it had been done and they never responded. Luckily, our CC company took care of it and refunded our money. I'm not sure at this point if our neighbors have been refunded. We also found out that the person that suggested them ran into an issue of them never showing up to install the water filtration system and has had to cancel on them now as well, not sure if they received their refund. My perception is that these guys are counting on you not understanding what they are doing and they "upsell" and overcharge for the job. I ended up getting another company to do the hose bibs with an extra water shutoff for $300 less than they had quoted me.

He said he would be there around 4pm but did not show up. I had to contact him several times to get updates and he never follow through. He promised that a tech would be there first thing in the morning and if he was 10 minutes late, I would be refunded the whole bill. I had to call the tech the next morning because he did not show up and he stated he knew nothing about it. He showed up 90 minutes late. I was ghosted by the pro after that and they never showed up to replace the toilets and I had to pay a real pro to do that. I have still yet to see the refund. If you read further reviews, there seems to be a pattern. He also tried to sell us a water filtration and pressure system.
