To my dismay and obvious frustration, the front struts were not Rough Country. Instead the driver side was a KYB brand and the passenger side was a Duralast. He also talked me into swapping out all four tires for smaller ones. Adding that he was positive tires were going to rub, there is nothing I can do now. All I know now, is that I found out what kind of man he is and what he does to trusty customers. He never put the truck on the lift to show the work that had been done. UPDATE 7/30/26: I had purchased a used car 66k miles great condition a Vw for around 13k. Thought I received an awesome deal. LESS THAN 24 HOURS the car started going into "limp mode" and several light came on while driving on the highway. The next day I take it back and they said they'd look at it. Took them a week to just get the lights back on to get the code and they said it was a bad ABS module. It was replaced reprogrammed and I go on my merry way. A COUPLE DAYS later the car starts shaking. It can't be the tires because they are BRAND SPANKIN' new. They diagnose it say the tires are hard and they need soft tires I can buy but they balance the tires and say well it's just gonna shake. Couple days later the car goes into "limp mode" AGAIN WITH THE SAME LIGHTS so I go straight over there and they take it. Now they say that module was defective but it would cost $5000 to fix it but it wouldn't be a guarantee that it would be completely fixed. I'm of the part was defective then why isn't it another easy fix. Honestly the combination of problems means Engine, computer, even BallJoint problems and I have a very good suspicion I was being lied to. The whole time from the very first problem it was a COMPLETE struggle to get a hold of any update on the car because no one else but one manager and one service person knew what was going on. I had to STRUGGLE to get the updates I needed even though I was told I would be updated! I kept being passed to everyone and their mother to talk to someone and no one knew. Meanwhile the ONLY one helping me try to get info or find info for me was the sales person Kris K. I had to physically show up to the dealership to get any answers and told repeatedly no matter what I would be "taken care of" I would receive an update and call first thing in the morning. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I AGAIN had to call repeatedly over the afternoon so I could finally talk to the manager Joe. Again I was told I'd be taken care of! But he can't just focus on me he has to take care of other customers and I should only need to talk to Kris and he should be doing everything(how can a sales person find anything out about a service thing he has no authority to even find anything why would it be his job to do a managers duty and communicate everything between different departments) He proceeds to tell me over and over again he can't speak for anyone else why I didn't receive the updates on the car. HE'S THE MANAGER! All he did was talk circles and put down his sale person. So I had to go the dealer again to see what my options are. GUESS WHAT!? He made the sales person go through other cars with me WITHOUT telling me what kind of deal they can offer or anything like that. He repeatedly tried to push me into a Ford escape Titanium and sure it was a great year and good miles but I would have to pay more money for a car that states on the car fax it had an OPEN RECALL. While I sat there CRYING FROM FRUSTRATION he doesn't even acknowledge me. After that he didn't check up once not once to see what deal or anything about "taking care of me" because again he told me he has to take care of other customers. I was there for hours THERE WERE NO OTHER CUSTOMERS. I AM SO UPSET AND NOT "TAKEN CARE OF." THEY SOLD ME A BAD CAR AND HAVE BEEN A STRUGGLE TO DEAL WITH. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I hope to receive a call from the GM John to see what can be done with the situation but I have no hope and low low low expectations he will call me. But other than that, they do not get any more stars. After taking it to them, they charged me $100 for a diagnostic and told me they did not know what was wrong with my car. They said they would have to take it apart. I asked for how much, and he said he didn't know, but it was going to be between $3400-$4500. I broke down outside another auto shop because I couldn't afford that, and I had driven the car to that shop. But I came crawling back to them. They suggested I do the finance to pay for the car but I didn't want to do that. Anyways, he had his tow truck pick me up, and I was towed back to them. I'm thankful for the tow who brought me back. He had just got off work, and I appreciate him coming to my rescue. Shout out to him. I did wind up still towing it to another place, and I did have to pay the 100 tow fee. One of the techs at the dealership recommended Rhein West, calling them the best in town, if not the entire state of Texas. Initially, I was hesitant, as I typically avoid independent mechanics. However, after having the car towed to Rhein West, they spent just one day troubleshooting, contacting BMWNA, BMW in Europe, and Dinan Engineering in California. Within 24-36 hours, they had my car fully repaired for less than $600. From that point on, I exclusively brought my car to Rhein West until I eventually sold it. Paid $90.00 for service, vehicle was parked for almost 7 weeks, a week ago, my grandson came to town asked what wrong with vehicle told him, he took a look and told me, 1st off engine guards top & bottom were missing and all the tabs & rivets were placed by windshield. $220.00 to replace. He fixed my unit for $50.00. A clogged radiator was the problem! NOT REPLACE THERMOSTAT / WATERPUMP / RADIATOR. Tony still has not called to tell where my parts are at!!! These guys are wolves acting like they care about repairing cars.
