There was a mix of people studying, working, and chatting with friends; it's a very lively community spot. Despite how chaotic it was, the space was generally clean and the service was great. The cashier made sure to get our names and address us by them. The decor is beautiful, feeling intentionally designed. I thought it was really cool that they have a slow coffee bar area specifically for pour overs (I think) where tech isn't allowed, so people are just supposed to sit and enjoy their coffee. I've never seen that before in a coffee shop. The menu is extensive. Since it was later in the day, the baked goods were half off, which was a nice surprise. I got a blueberry latte and an Asian fusion focaccia bread. Blueberry latte - I liked this! The blueberry flavor was subtle and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It added a light fruity note to the coffee without overpowering it. Fusion focaccia bread - This was tasty, but I felt the original price was steep ($12). My piece was around 6" x 3". The shiitake mushroom flavor was strong and I loved the addition of scallions and Chinese sausage sprinkled throughout the bread. Overall, this is such a cool addition to coffee culture in the South Bay. It feels like shop from a big city like SF, NYC, or Chicago instead of little ol' SJ. The ambiance and options are solid, and it has a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. You can be a casual coffee drinker or a coffee snob and it will be a satisfying experience.

Taste like sour coffee with coconut shavings. - Cardamom orange latte hot: Surprisingly good like a creamy orange coffee. - Egg sando: I like the added trout caviar, adds a nice pop of color and flavor. - Shio pan: Very good crispy outside and soft inside. I will say the black salt on the top was a lil strong. I didn't realize and took one huge bite of salt and ended up having to scrape some off the rest of the bread - Gochujang corn cheese scallion focaccia: Very big, generous slice. I would like more corn cheese throughout the bread. Good service, nice space with seating, but can get busy. Please do clean up after yourself if you decided to sit.

The place has this worn-in, artistic, slightly scruffy charm.. idk if I'm describing it right. It's like... the kind of hangout where people come for a quick catchup each other but end up drifting in and out of nice, long conversations. Like.. the morning version of going out for drinks. Instead of cocktails, it's cappuccinos and spearmint lavender tea. same energy. Nothing feels overly polished, which is exactly why it feels comfortable. The music is one of my favorite parts. Very eclectic in the best way! I'm very particular with music and have an inside joke with my wife about hijacking the Bluetooth at certain places to play some "actual music" but damn. Find myself removing my headphones to listen to what they have playing. Sometimes I feel like I'm inside an NPR segment. Lol The coffee and tea have been consistently tasty. Great espresso, tasty tea options, and no one rushes you out. just gentle background life happening around you. Another shoutout to the staff. Literally EVERYONE has been amazing and they're always in such great moods. In return, all the customers are super friendly too. Love it :)

The baristas seem poorly trained, and they don't have a solid process anymore. They've expanded their space, but that just makes the wait and confusion worse. I recently was in their new space and ordered two simple cold brews--no modifications. Where they used to pour it straight from the tap, now they treat it like a latte--and everything takes forever. If you want to linger in their aesthetic (albeit chilly) space, maybe that's fine. But if you just want takeaway coffee, be prepared to invest 20-30 minutes. It's no longer the quick, quality stop it once was.

Tico Coffee Roasters have become my go-to place for whole beans coffee. I've experienced a few of…read moretheir roasts and the Black Tiger is my favorite. About 6 months ago I made a switch from the convenience of my Keurig to buying quality beans, grinding them myself and make proper Americanos instead of popping in a pod and pushing a button. I've done a lot of experiments with beans and so far I haven't found better beans than the beans I pick up from Tico Coffee Roasters. I really appreciate to have roasters of this quality in my neighborhood! Coffee is like wine, the better the quality is, the less you need. I used to go through 4-5 Keurig pods every day, but I'm plenty fulfilled by 1-2 cups of coffee made from Tico's beans. So even though it seems like I'm paying more for coffee with Tico, I'm not. I highly recommend you to try Tico's beans. They have amazing deals through Too Good To Go if you are looking for a deal to try it out.

I order a cappuccino and tried their coffee of the day: Sanger de Toro. To begin, the drip, tasted very smooth with a slight acidity, but not too much. The cappuccino with a base of Rialto had the bold, dark chocolate, and rich taste that was advertised, and the foam was fine to perfection. It's in an industrial area with car repair shops, so if you're in the area for that, it is definitely worth checking out; it is also worth a special trip for. The service was fast and friendly. And the ambiance was a coffee stand outside of a coffee brewing company

Happen to be around and felt that I have to grab their coffee. I ordered pecan latte and flatwhite with oat milk and LOVE IT! I sometimes grab their beans too so that I can drink coffee at home. I got my coffee pretty fast (barista was so kind) and was able to sit down a little bit, enjoying the weather (it was raining in the morning which was perfect for coffee :))

They had some Fanime specials for the con (katsu and egg salad sandwiches, spam musubi), seasonal drinks, of course coffees and teas, and non caffeinated drinks, as well as some food too (heated up pastries, both sweet and savory). There's a restroom with a code and a couple seats and tables with outlets to charge your devices. Service was welcoming and efficient especially after the crowds started to pick up. I got the: 1) Egg Salad Sando: -You can tell these were handmade in store. They had cute washi tape to hold the packaging together. -Solid egg salad sandwich. Slightly sweet white bread and generous amount of egg salad inside the sandwich. Creamy mayo taste that isn't too sour or tart, lots of egg in it. Perfect for an anime con next door. 2) Cappuccino: -I got this no sugar and sugar free and it came out with some pretty latte art. I thought it was mostly ok and boyfriend thought so too, but after several sips and when it was too late since we really had to get to the con, it just became too disgustingly sweet for him and he had to throw it away. 3) Yuzu Fresh Fruit Sparkler: -Yuzu puree with sparkling soda water. -Refreshing and not bad, but even after mixing this was a bit sweeter than what I would have liked and again, in our rush to leave, we couldn't really get this adjusted. I ended up pouring most of it in a water bottle to enjoy later and put in my bag. But ended up not finishing it in the end. Maybe next year I'll try again or just stick to the food stuffs.
