YES I recommend! It didn't take long from the time we placed the order to the time we picked it up Less than an hour. It's delicious, unique and fresh. I loved my fried chicken!! The plantains were amazing The rice and peas - were unique, unexpected and Delicious!!! The portions were extremely generous. My wife and I were wondering what to do for dinner last night, so she looked up area restaurants in Waterville and saw the listing for Strait Jamaican Cuisine. We never had Jamaican food before and thought it would be fun to try something new. We checked out their menu online and everything looked delicious! We placed our order online, which was very easy and allowed for us to add special instructions (not spicy, lol!), and we also paid. I recommend using your GPS to find it your first time (you will be back!) as it is tucked away down a driveway on School St. in Waterville. The people were extremely friendly and brought our meal out to our car. We got it home and the food was still hot, the portions were generous, and the food was DELICIOUS!! I have seen this restaurant advertised on Facebook. I stopped in today. The restaurant is off the beaten path in the back of a home. I parked on the street but later noticed there is parking behind the house. I was greeted before I even stepped on to the porch. I was given a paper menu and sat down to place my order. I decided on the goat curry. For my two sides, I chose the plantains and the red beans and rice. The goat curry was delicious! The meat was very tender and flavorful. Be prepared to pick out the bones. The portions were very generous. I don't think I even ate half of my meal. I will definitely go back and try some other dishes. read more

The jerk marinade is full of flavor. If you have never had it before and are afraid it may set fire to your tongue, it is not all that hot, more like BBQ sauce. Portion size os generous for the price. Like me, you may wonder why anyone would order a side of smelly steamed cabbage. Well your mom smelled ip her kitchen boiling cabbage. This is different. It smells good and tastes dicious. Food is prepared in their home kitchen takeout only from their kitchen door. Service is friendly and quick. The Rastapasta may look like mac & cheese but it is the richest, smokiest mac & cheese I've ever tasted. The DIY stuff in the blue box doesn't come close. read more

Fantastic on so many levels. Food is excellent - jerk pork spiced and smoked to perfection, plantains and rice and beans so very good. And the sweet potatoes - yum! Met the chef who is so skilled and his partner who is a Waterville area native and both so kind. Wish I was from here, as they both feel like good friends already.
