The best Thai food in the area IMO. You can dine in or takeout and choose your source of protein (including tofu) for most dishes. The lunch special includes yummy vegetable fried spring rolls. My most recent order was Massamam curry with a 5 out of 5 for heat. For me, it still wasn't that spicy, but it was delicious and I made 2 extra meals out of the leftovers. Thai food is usually my favorite to eat when I go out, and I have eaten a lot of it in many cities around the country. This place is the worst. Seafood tastes as if it comes from frozen. Vegetables taste canned. The curry is bland. The fish is the seafood curry is just a giant fillet of fried fish... yes, fried, with a breading. I mean seriously... the worst Thai food ever. We will not be going back. ... I just tried a bite of that breaded fish. It's hard and rubbery. Has anyone who gave this place a good review EVER had Thai food before? Or food at all? read more

This is a great restaurant, I only gave 4 stars as my first experience was takeout, and on the takeout order one item wasn't quite living up to expectations. The Pros: Thai iced tea bubble tea was top notch. Tom kha soup with chicken with spice level 5 was one of the best I've had in a long time. Fried dumplings were tasty, well prepared and fresh. The ginger dish with chicken was very well seasoned and also very good. The takeout order was packed well, had cutlery, napkins, and a boba straw. No messy bag with spillage like many restaurants. Cons: The Thai Lad Nar noodles absorbed all the gravy by the time I got the dish, so there was almost no sauce and the noodles were mushy. It lacked much flavor and it was disappointing as this is one of my favorite dishes. That being said, I'll go try it again in person and I bet it will be a different experience. Wow is this delicious! I had the lunch Hot Basil with chicken four stars..wicked good. They give you rice and two fried rolls with your lunch. I also had the wings and I asked for extra spice. I enjoy Thai cuisine, but this is mediocre at best. The Shumai was good but taste like it came from the frozen food isle at the local grocery store. The "spicy" entry was overly sweet and lacked both flavor and spice. Value for the money was terrible with only 4 shrimp in a $20 entree. This is as good as Thai food gets in the state of Maine. The food is fresh, delicious and the owners and staff are very friendly. The Thom Ka soup is over the top and Panang Curry a family favorite. This little restaurant is fantastic. They consistently create yummy Thai food. The ingredients are fresh with perfect sweet/hot balance. Only once my order was a bit off. This may be a bit lengthy, but worth it. This food is amazing! My wife and I are up here at our summer lake house in Monmouth and we've been driving by this place for over a year. Well we decided to try it and it is KILLER. I ordered the Chu Chee curry shrimp with heat 4 out of 5, it was very pleasantly super hot as I hoped for with amazing coconut curry flavors. The one problem I've always had with restaurants is my version of spicy hot, and their version of spicy hot was never the same. I always have to say , I want it hot Hot HOTT and it's always lame , not here. If you say HOT, you get HOT. I'm very excited about this. I am going to try the 5 out of 5 next. I also got Tom yum soup , my wife got chicken pad Thai , and dumplings, all amazing! We are very picky people and this doesn't place will NOT disappoint ! So thank you guys for providing the food you promised! We will be back often. Just remember, if you say hot , it's hot so don't complain it's too hot because you asked for it. So. What can I say, i just ordered lunch from here. I've lived in Maine for 5 years now and the thing here is they make their Asian restaurants sort of all in one, which i find very strange but I've gotten used to it. Like you'll find a Japanese restaurant with Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese food. It's quite odd but the locals don't find this peculiar. I don't see Pho on many menus but it was on this one, and I decided to see if it was okay. I've never tasted a good bowl of Pho in this state, and it's unclear why that doesn't seem to be available here. I tried some in Camden at a Japanese (and apparently Vietnamese) restaurant that was open for a minute and it was bewildering. The broth had none of the flavors I expected. Anyway, the Pho at this restaurant was really good. I apparently missed it. It had the expected flavors: star anise, cardamom, coriander. It was served with an odd selection of meats though, the beef in it was like a sausage, and it had chicken and shrimp in it as well - I'm not sure why I couldn't order it with only one of the meats? or no meat? All together like that was an odd choice, but the broth was right and that's usually the issue with soups that claim to be Pho around here. It had the usual rice noodles, scallions, and bean sprouts with thai basil in it. It was good and that is why this restaurant gets the 5 stars... when no one can do this right, and this one place does....I will go back. I also ordered the green curry, just to taste it, which is what I normally order off of every Thai restaurant I go to, as a baseline. The curry blend was on the sweeter side of what I like, but it was still okay and not offensive, and I understand this is my own personal taste and not reflective of a bad curry. Clearly curry blends vary. It is nice that they allow you to indicate how spicy that you want your food 0 to 5 (spiciest). i enjoy spicier food so I went for number 5 and it wasn't too spicy so if they don't believe you can manage spicy food you'll have to reiterate that you want it spicy. read more

Tried Thai Spice for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the authentic flavors. Their Thai Wonton Soup was delicious (hint of cilantro/lemon grass) and ordered 3 of 5 stars heat (very hot) for Krapao Moo (Basil Pork stir fry). Will visit them again for sure. read more
