I purchased product, and the bottle was damaged. Tonya kindly offered to replace my damaged bottle of cleanser which I love!! Tonya also offered a full refund. I in no way was expecting a full refund for the cleanser, just a replacement. I truly do appreciate Tonya's amazing sincere offer. She will not take no for an answer, so I can in turn purchase more STRANDZ product for curly hair. What have I learned from this experience ? In stead of me getting frustrated and writing my frustration on a yelp review, call and talk to Tonya first. Please for those of you who are frustrated. Please reach out to Tonya. Please try calling her and explain your situation. If you are trying to get a hold of the salon, or Standz beauty supply store their phone was stolen. Please be patient. The store was broken into. I've been here a few times now and I really like the energy here. It's more like a homey family type of vibe. It's really casual but still well kept, organized, and clean, always professional. Pricing is reasonable. This is not the type of place where you are in and out in 1 hour. This salon offers you an experience. A relaxing shampoo massage followed by free therapy and positive conversation from neighboring clients and stylists. I have only gone to Jocelyn and she is amazing! She did a high ponytail extension and braids for me and my toddler. She also does braids for my husband as well. Her work is always 10/10. They are next door to a beauty shop so I never have to worry about buying hair beforehand or not buying enough hair. It's a really nice shop and they have pretty much everything you need. read more

Will not be returning ever again . Go for cheap service. Get cheap service. (Ended up going to another stylist that was an extra 250 fthat gave me exactly what I wanted with the info I needed for my hair) I came in for a hair dye on non-virgin hair. I already knew what to expect going in with the patchiness from a previous dye and dampness from my hair going in (sat under a dryer, no issue with that) . My problem was with the service from the stylist and process. Not having knowledge about my hair and doing many experiments with products, I finally decided to come in for a trim and to dye over what mess my hair was prior. All while asking how to maintain my hair in its dry and frizzy state. (SHE WAS NO HELP WHATSOEVER) "something moisturizing" was a consistent answer. Like really lady? You see my hair. Okay I ask "is there a way to fix the texture problem?" No helpful answer. I just stopped asking. I chose the owner of the salon to do my hair expecting more than I should have. I seriously could've done this at home. Hair is finished and I'm not liking my hair at all but understand things can be fixed so I give a question one last shot after I pay. Now I ask for a product recommendation for my hair for the 4th time "try some cantu with avocado" . Like that product line was going to do something for my hair in its state. You were no help Tonya. I will not be returning and really hope people do not run into the same problem. read more

I have been to Tonya twice now and she is the only hairdresser I know who knows how to cut my curly hair properly. The Deva cut is expensive, but worth it to give a great shape that will grow nicely. I tried less expensive hairdressers for my in-between trims, but they make big messes of the shape/structure Tonya provides. I will be going to her for all of my trims from now on. She's so knowledgeable and talented! I also appreciate the relaxed vibe in the salon. read more

If you are looking for quality color that won't damage your hair, go see Tonya! Tonya seriously knows color and how to keep the hair and scalp healthy! Going this blonde is very hard on the hair and scalp but with Tonya, my hair is still super strong, healthy and soft, and my scalp isn't the least bit irritated. She uses ammonia free high quality color products that are more natural with less chemicals. read more

I am a regular with the vibrant Joss and she has been nothing short of amazing. I usually get braids and whenever I do design or not I always get great feedback. Also, if you are in the shop on a packed day everybody's vibe meshes well. Highly recommend trying this place out. I'm going to save my review of the cut at the end as that's the sole reason why I'm rating this so low. Tonya and her salon were very nice and professional. I had no complaints trying to get an appointment. I even got to my appointment really early and they were very accommodating by helping me out 15 mins early. That being said - the cut was horrible. I waited to post my review until my hair grew out so I could see what kind of shape it would grow into. This was my first time experiencing a devacut and Tonya came highly recommended without me having to drive deep into Los Angeles. I primarily came seeking a new cut since the last cut was also a train wreck. The previous person who gave me a haircut tried giving me a curly cut but clearly had no idea what they were doing. Tonya was understanding of my situation and I knew I was going to have to cut my hair really short to even everything out. I had no problem with that - I even told her to cut everything she needed off. No complaints there. She proceeded with the cut and then washed my hair. After she washed my hair she could see my left side was almost 2 inched uneven. She proceeded to cut that side more and styled it. Everything looked cool and overall was pretty okay with how everything turned out. 3 Months later, my hair grew a few inches and my hair was horribly uneven and any of the layers I got were completely flat. My hair had little to no volume to it. I had to leave my hair in a pony tail for a few more months to let it grow out. I knew it was all going to be cut off and that's exactly what happened with the next stylist. My hair has grown out with this new hair cut with the same time frame and it's a complete night and day difference from this devacut. read more

Tonya is awesome! I've tried a few different DevaCurl stylists in the area, and I think I've finally found the one for me. I think people need to have an understanding that if you have damaged hair from years of heat styling and using non CGM products, a DevaCurl hair cut is not going to magically give them the moisturized luscious curls they desire in one go. That being said, I'm super happy with how my hair cut came out. Tonya took the time to really listen to what I wanted, and she delivered. She totally re-shaped my hair and the compliments have not stopped rolling in! The salon is clean, staff are all so friendly, and there is plenty of parking! I definitely recommend this salon! read more

I came on my birthday to get my 1st Deva Cut! I was so excited. I was finally going to get moisturized curls and a cut that shaped my face. I left the salon with my hair FRIED DRIED WITH NO SHAPE WHATSOEVER! I still had straight ends that needed to be cut. It was a disaster! Tonya did not put enough product on my hair and I was left under the dryer too long! This was the worst experience I had at a hair salon I'm so disappointed for how my hair turned out and for $120!!!! I will not recommend this salon to anyone Good Luck Ladies! read more

I am picky about hair salons and after a slew of bad experiences I swore them off. Late last year, however, I decided that I wanted color. After a review of the yelp reviews I made an appointment here. The staff was friendly as ever. The salon was clean, and I appreciated my new Devi curl do. My first visit was just a blow out and my second visit was a wash and go. The owner and other stylists seem to really enjoy what they do. I went to Tonya on Friday May 13 for 2 services: color correction and virgin tint color (total cost with well deserved tip was $346.50). Before my appointment, I had a color consultation with Tonya and she recommended me to allow the current color I had (see BEFORE pics) to faded out over time, so she could see the how much my hair color was lifted. She also advised me to get what process and products the other stylist used in my hair so she could correct my hair with as much knowledge possible. When I contacted the other stylist she refused to disclose her process, so Tonya had to proceed with without that knowledge. And let me tell you, although Tonya didn't have that information, she was still able to correct my color and keep my curls healthy and defined! Tonya had to process my hair in different sections and time because my color was done so unevenly. Tonya managed to get my whole color even and applied this beautiful luscious red (see AFTER pics). I'm so in love with my results. Tanya is very knowledgeable about color and natural hair. She takes her time with her clients and she's very honest about her services and how she does each process. The good: Nice people, plenty of parking, easy to make an appointment, and I was in and out in less than a hour and a half. The bad: the pain I felt handing over my credit card and the embarrassment to ever admit to anyone how much I paid for a trim and flat iron. I love the way Candace does my hair. I never leave unsatisfied. I first went to this place at the peak of the pandemic because my shop was not open in Moreno Valley. No Poo Tramsformation is for those wanting to try only the “No Poo” when the cut is complete The DevaCut is completed with using the Deva products specific for your hair type

Is there any specific preparation before I go to the salon for the first diva cut?

In preparation please come with freshly washed and styled hair(wash the day before or morning of). Style your hair how you are use to seeing it daily. No Ponytails, clips, braids or holders as this will stretch the hair.

He uses a method of teasing the root, spraying it with hairspray, and then applying the lightening mixture, to get that seamless look. Overpaying at this salon: Another stylist in the salon was rudely talking about how much more she was charging new clients compared to old clients. Frank kept a neutral vibe while she ranted on about not needing anyone if they don't want to pay her higher price. This didn't sit well due to the fact that I paid hundreds more at this salon to see Frank than I have anywhere else to get my hair done. She didn't mention anything about her expenses going up due to inflation, just that she's making so much more from new clients now. The combined total to Frank and Eliana was $562.00 for the cut, balayage, toner and tips to each. I won't be returning as the experience and result was not stellar for the premium price. For the same service, my previous hairdresser in Pasadena was in the mid-high 300s w/tip (and this was after raising her prices a few years ago- it used to be low 300s) and my new hairdresser in Rancho Cucamonga is in the low 300s w/tip.

Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!
