As another school year comes to an end, albeit with "a twist" I am truly amazed to see how you all keep the kids super engaged, keeping a tab on all 24 kids. I felt I was sitting in the class with my daughter (4th grader and now moving up to 5th grade) and witnessing what my daughter learned. I hope I can restart my education from Stratford School :)  What baffles me is how, even the speciality classes like music taught by Ms. Voon and PE (Coach Castillo) were organized. You all have gone above and beyond anyone's expectations. Compared to other schools I have seen Stratford School made the transition look like a walk in the park. I cannot imagine how many sleepless nights you must have all spent in planning to make this transition happen and adopt distance learning. Thank you Ms. Saham and Ms. Deshmukh for making this happen. There hasn't been a single day where my daughter missed the classroom environment and the culture all the teachers and administrative staff have cultivated. It amazes me to see how creative kids can be when learning at home by doing science experiments with things you find around your home. I have so many moments where my daughter's eye lit up seeing things in practical. She had to adapt her thinking to make things happen and persist in doing it again and again only to keep finding new things with every run of the experiment.   Of the many best moments that happened during the shelter-in-place is how my daughter learnt about the social-emotional skills that no curriculum in the world would teach, especially when she dealt with challenges related to technology (internet not working, keeping track of the time with no school bell etc. ).  She also got hooked on to 10 minute news headlines from around the world every night and learned so much (Thanks to Ms. Hakim who used to inculcate the idea of looking at the positive sides of shelter-in-place e.g., Less pollution, more wildlife, hear a lot of birds chirping, Nature is thriving etc.). This ritual has now become part of her good night routine to watch the news from around the world and discuss with us. I felt she matured so much in 4th grade. During these pandemic times, I think you all teachers became "essential workers". Essential workers shaping the future (The Kids) of this planet and beyond. You all created history here. Take a bow. My daughter has been enrolled in Stratford Milpitas Great Mall campus for six years since pre-school. Now she is a third grader. I really love this school and feel fortunate that my daughter has been growing in a community with caring and wonderful teachers. The school has a well-balanced curriculum. Mathematics and English Language Arts are taught at the appropriate pace for the kids' age. We are also very happy to see that music, art, history, science, P.E., social science, Spanish, computer, and social-emotional learning are also important parts of the curriculum. The kids of each classroom will give two musical performance shows each year in an auditorium room with a performance stage. Each show is a complete musical theater show with a theme and the kids sing 10-15 songs. Every time we watched the show, we were amazed by the kids' performance and appreciated the teachers' hard work and great efforts in put up such amazing shows. My daughter is a very active kid. She has relatively short attention span. But she has been very fortunate to be taken care of by the wonderful teachers at Stratford Milpitas. Ms. Najmus is a great director, caring, understanding, helpful, and very efficient. Every time I talked to her with my questions or concerns, she could always give me the right words to address my concerns. Ms. Michelle, Ms. Alma, and Ms. Irani are all experienced wonderful teachers who understood my daughter's personality and tried to find the right ways to motivate and guide my daughter without hurting her curiosity and confidence. Ms. Irani is an experienced and caring teacher with great patience. Her teaching makes the learning fun and easy to understand. For vocabulary learning, she integrates each week's new vocabularies into her daily conversations with kids so that the kids can remember the new words easily. For history learning, she not only tells the kids the historical facts/stories, but also guides them on discussing topics like "what takes to be a good leader", "every religion has love", based on the learned history. She integrates writing in the assignments of different subjects, such as history and science, and with very fun prompts, to give the kids more opportunities to practice writing. She cares about each kid, likes to maintain the uniqueness of each kid, and always finds various ways for each kid to shine. She had set the bar very high. Then came Grade second, and it was Mrs. Sahni, very well organized and emphasized on behavioral aspect along with the curriculum. The real character and quality of the school came to the fore during this crazy year of crisis (2020). The ease with which we moved from class-based education to distance learning was unbelievable. The efforts put in by the staff to come up with a balanced curriculum and schedule at such a short notice is commendable. 1st week of transition was very difficult but then they took parent's feedback and incorporated them from second week onward. Great work by Mrs. Saham, Principal elementary school and Stratford team. We even had online sessions for all specialty subjects (Spanish, music, PE, Computers) as well along with the regular curriculum. I had the pleasure of sending my child to the Summer Camp at Stratford Milpitas this summer, and I cannot express enough how thrilled I am with the entire experience. From start to finish, it was an exceptional program that left a lasting positive impression on my child and our family. First and foremost, Mrs. Mandal (Room 116) who reaches my child's class is outstanding. She is not only highly qualified and knowledgeable but also incredibly caring and attentive. My son was around 3 1/2 years when he first started his journey with Stratford Milpitas campus. So many questions did arise when we got him enrolled in this school as it was the new campus just started. By reading/ hearing the positive feedbacks about other Stratford schools, we enrolled our son in this new campus. Here we are happily in our second year of schooling with my son. In Stratford, Parent-teachers conference is conducted twice a year, which is informative and detail oriented that helped us to know our son's overall progress. My son was exposed to music, arts, Spanish, and STEM along with the regular school academics. We picked this school as we were looking for both academics and getting social with other kids Other fun activities included visiting Emma Prusch farm park, Fire truck /Firemen interactions ..etc. Ms. Anita & Ms. Delores for preschool and Ms. Anita & Ms. Aparna for Pre-K were my son's teachers/mentors for the 2 most important years. With their Individual attention and the constant challenges provided by them helped my son to build his discipline and confidence. We really appreciate and are very thankful to these awesome teachers for their guidance and hard work. My son enjoys going to the school because he likes his teachers and love to play with his friends. Teachers are very friendly here. As a parent, it is nice to know our kid 's progress on regular basis. Teachers regularly provide feedbacks/observations. For the second year of this campus; the number of students doubled than the previous year. Initially we had concerns on parking availability. But with the help of the staffs, Miss Najmus and Mr. Phil Dolan made it a success, especially during the peak hours. Thank you for your daily effort of making the smooth flow of traffic. Stratford is a decent school. Some of the teachers are the best while the others; not so much. No school can beat this school's education. Unfortunately, there are some schools that can beat this school in many other ways. My child went to this school, and they did not enjoy their life at this school. They told me about how many of the teachers picked on some specific students. My child would want to support other students, but the fear Stratford put in my child would not permit this. Other students who stood up got in some trouble. The teachers should be more understanding and less attacking. Also, it is wrong to immediately get someone in trouble without knowing the entire story. I know others who got in trouble for something they didn't do, but the teacher won't believe them. Whoever complains to the teacher about a specific student is always correct, but that specific student is wrong no matter what. This should not be tolerated. Sometimes when people use the bathroom, they forget to close their computers even though everyone is present in the class they all have. This can easily get them a violation which can lead to detention. Other incidents similar to this make other students cry. It is not okay for a child to cry because of the school. Schools are supposed to be the place where children come to jump and have fun. If your child even does the smallest thing, they will be punished in a very unfair way, and the punishment will be too severe compared to the action. Pretend a child punched another kid, and a completely different kid talked in class, then the kid who was talking in class might get in more trouble. This might be a little hard to believe, but the truth is always bitter. This is why I took my child out of this school and moved them to a different middle school. Hearing this from my child completely broke my heart which is why I wanted you guys to know my opinion. read more

Stratford Milpitas , a great school that we send our daughter to! My daughter is here since Kindergarten in the Milpitas campus when it was newly started. Right from kindergarten we have seen how every teacher has been dedicated and encouraging and brought out the talent and interest of a child. The KG teachers are great in teaching social and emotional skills. Ms.Jairath in 1st grade has been a great mentor where academics have started to be intense. Ms. Blake, in 3rd grade now is simply awesome. She's so enthusiastic with the class and covered so much curriculum already in the year and was able to get everyone one on it easily and enjoyably. We are so delighted to see our daughter has grown with skills with all these learning where all credits goes back to the school in their teaching. Our daughter loves all the teachers, the Spanish teacher Ms.Rubinos who made Spanish learning so enjoyable, the lunch teachers who are always responsive, and we feel thats only because of the unconditional & impartial love they give to the kids. The STEAM curriculum is totally awesome here. How the Art Music , PE is equally important for a healthy growing child is well set and taught here. The intense academics is complimented with enjoyable art activities here. Ms.Voon is a great Music teacher. Every winter and spring programs are done absolutely superb with the great way they work with the children. We would call this place as "Kids University" where you can see creativity of kids showcased proudly. The best quality of stratford we have experienced is every single day every child is received with loving wish in the morning and are also sent back home with a lovely warm bye which makes any child(made our daughter) to be happy to go back to school everyday here. My son started preschool in stratford and for the fourth year in a row. My daughter also started preschool here. Both my kids love the school. We are happy with the progress of of our kids (social/intellectual). Stratford school has well structured curriculum. Right balance of academics and extra curricular activities. Early introduction of STEM based learning is a huge plus. So far we experienced quality teachers in Stratford. My son always loved the teachers (pre, pre-k, kinder). His current teacher in first grade (Ms. Margarita Broussard) is very compassionate, full of energy and positivity. Very happy with the progress he is making be it academic/social/emotional. Ms. Deepthi & Ms. Dora are very kind and provided the great start for my daughter in preschool. Very friendly environment. We can check-in the progress any time with teachers. At home; my daughter loves to talk about teachers, friends and activities at the school. We are very happy with the progress she is making. Very unsafe location - specially for lower grade kids. There is no fence/boundary between the road and classrooms. I am surprised in spite of such serious concern the school was allowed to start operation at this location. Also never seen a school so close to a busy mall. There was a lot of chaos beginning of the year; kids did not have books for a good 4-5 weeks. Teachers focused on keeping the grades up instead of overall academic development of the kids. Does not prepare the kids for high school, kids will have transition issues eventually when they come into the "real" world. No competitive sports; only recreational Basically a glorified, expensive day care catering mainly to Asian and Indian working parents. No diversity at all! I have both of my kids studying at Stratford School, Milpitas campus. It's my daughter's first year here and she is loving it till now. We are almost nearing the end of the school year and I am amazed to see how she has developed academically as well as socially and emotionally. She is in room 111 and both her teachers, Ms. Prasanna & Ms. Alyssa have played a very important role in shaping her personality. Their ever encouraging and approachable attitude has left a lasting impression on the kids in their class. Ms. Nazmus is very approachable as well. My daughter understands to respect her friends and teachers and others which she learns from her class. I am also very pleased with my son's progress in 4th grade. Ms. Edwards is an excellent teacher and we are fortunate to have her. Under her guidance, I have seen a lot of improvements with my son. Her innovative approach to teaching helps the kids be more creative and have a willingness to study and have a healthy competitive spirit which is very much required. Although Milpitas campus is a new campus, We have had excellent interactions with MS. Saham and mr. Dolan. You can always see them smiling and greeting you every time you meet them. One highlight of our experience was during her time in 2nd grade with Miss Sukhvinder Mehta. She is a dedicated teacher who takes the time to provide individual attention to each student. During parent-teacher meetings, Miss Mehta addressed our concerns thoughtfully and constructively, rather than brushing them aside. She worked with us to help our child grow in her areas of improvement, particularly in building confidence and becoming more assertive. We truly appreciated how she created opportunities that encouraged our daughter to express herself. A special thank you to Mrs. Mandal, my son's First Grade Teacher. Mrs. Mandal is the perfect combination of firmness and kindness. She has been teaching my son to enjoy the lessons, encouraging him to accept new challenges in a positive way, still respecting his personality, at times shy and reserved. Also, since day one Mrs. Mandal has made me feel comfortable to talk with her openly about any possible needs, clarifications, suggestions, and, as a parent, I have always felt understood, supported and reassured by her.
