Not a great start for me. The website says they don't have a phone number and to email. Then you get an automated email from them saying If you don't get an email reply within 5 days to email again. We just want to see if they still have the kitten we liked then find out when we can visit the kitten. I haven't spoke or emailed with anyone from this place. Meanwhile my daughter is heartbroken because I had to tell her we won't be able to see the kitten. read more

I brought my four cats to Stray Cat Alliance about two weeks ago to be neutered, and I couldn't be happier with the care they received. The team was thoughtful, professional, and truly compassionate from start to finish. Even after the surgeries, they were amazing...every time I had a question or concern post-operation, they responded to my emails quickly and reassured me through the process. Thanks to their excellent care, all four of my cats healed perfectly with no complications. I'm so grateful for the work they do and the love they show to animals. Per their website: "Building a No-Kill Nation One Stray at a Time" - Stray Cat Alliance educates and empowers communities to advocate for every cat's right to be safe, healthy and valued. I wanted to write this review earlier, but am doing now to help spread awareness since LA is currently in crisis mode (early January 2025). Through their network and organization structure, they spread awareness and education and provide shelter and a fostering program for cats in need. I won't be able to do this place justice, so visit their website for more information. But during this time, I know there will be an influx in need so hoping this will maybe just start a ripple for more help and outside resources. I've worked with this organization for a while now. My partner at the time brought home four stray kittens and we worked with this org to find a couple of them homes. The other two were failed fosters, LOL and we ended up keeping them. I worked with them again and fostered two stray kittens (sisters) during the pandemic and the two were able to find a home using the org's network and infrastructure/ technology. I also got pre-screened and registered and was able to volunteer to come in and care for some of the cats during a day I wasn't working. What's funny is that I am allergic, but I love cats so I was wearing a mask, but it felt rewarding cleaning out their food and litter boxes and getting to spend time to help socialize them. read more

Website did not make the adoption requirements clear. The adoption form has an option to select indoor, outdoor, indoor/outdoor, or indoor with enclosed outdoor time. Despite making the final selection on my form, when I went in person to adopt, I was told that that they do not do adoptions for anything besides strictly indoor. Why not have an automatic replying letting me know that that selection makes me ineligible. I steal I went down and wasted my time. read more

Their tag line is "building a no-kill nation, one stray at a time." California has just experienced a major wildfire that has devastated LA and the pet population. Please do not support this business. They are obviously for profit and do not care to actually help animals in need. They are nearly impossible to get in contact with and when I brought a kitten to them that needed help, they sent me away and told me to take it to a kill shelter. read more

I don't recommend this place at all. There I adopted two young cats but they were given to me WITHOUT ANY paperwork at all, which is a no-no in normal adoption business. Later I discovered why: they had lied to me, one of the cats had serious psychological problems, she caused me a lot of grief and after 5 years of struggle, I had to give her up. I guess someone in the staff wanted to give this cat a chance, but man it's just not right. read more

i was so so nervous going into the whole spay/neutering process as a first time cat owner, but stray cat alliance took so much of that away. booking was simple and easy and even though maybe some people might've found it too much, i appreciated the multiple email reminders. day of the actual procedure came around and i felt more relieved once i heard a girl a couple people behind in line talking about how she's done this numerous times with them. check in was easy, they reviewed my kitties records and took her back. pick up was at 4pm and they brought the babies out in the order received, so cute, but before that the female tech stepped out and went over discharges with everyone as a group. they do not send you home with a plastic cone or surgical onesie but thankfully a friend of mine had loaned me one, which did end up coming in handy so i'd suggest having either or just in case. all in all what would've been a scary process was made very easy because of these guys and what they do is so amazing. thank you to everyone not only those up front but behind the scenes as well for taking such good care of all these babies and to dr. jennifer bledsoe-nix that suture site looks awesome, nice job! read more

I used to foster kittens through the Stray Cat Alliance, and one morning when I woke up and went to check on the kittens I immediately knew something wasn't right with one of them as she was hungry every morning for breakfast but on this specific day she suddenly stopped eating altogether, didn't want any food no matter how many times I put the bowl in front of her or tried to make her eat. Knowing something was off, I immediately called the emergency contact number. This is quite literally what that number is for - it's not even like I was calling at 3 am, yes it was a Sunday but it was 10:00 in the morning..? So why was the woman who answered the emergency line so rude and condescending, when again, it's quite literally her job to answer the emergency contact line?? She told me some BS about how "the kitten is probably fine", so I hung up on this imbecile and texted the foster coordinator who told me to bring the kitten in to be checked out by the medical staff. Sure enough, she had a stomach virus that they did not tell me about when I brought her home (they claimed it went undiagnosed but their job is to medically examine all of their animals upon arrival) and they told me they would provide me with updates on the kitten's condition while she was in their care, and guess what I never heard from them ONE time, had to badger them and follow up constantly until about 5 days later when they bothered to call me and tell me the kitten DIED! Zero updates on how she was doing until she literally died! Absolutely awful experience, wouldn't recommend anyone getting their animals here read more
