First time here and place checks all the boxes compared to the other coffee shops in the area. So quiet when I went, peaceful amongst other patrons and has a variety of breakfast lunch and dinner options. Service was amazing as well. Only downside realistically is parking but it should be expected as this spot is downtown. MUST try out. read more

So where I used to work was right down the street from Bounce where I first had stray dog. I am telling you, it is probably the best hotdogs I've had in a long time. If you like beefy, greasy, flavorful hotdogs, this is the place. PRO TIP: There are a few stray dog cafes very close together but the GOOD one is inside bounce in Akron. The cook there is the only one in all of the stray dogs that's I have seen toast the buns. All the others leave them plain and it makes all the difference having them toasted. The Mac and cheese there is also phenomenal. Probably the cheesiest Mac you will find. Even better than paneras mac. For the price, they give you a huge portion. We had a Groupon for Stray Dog, so we decided to go this afternoon. What a mistake that was.... The cashier had NO idea what to do with the Groupon. Then she undercharged us... She thought... But then realized that we overpaid... Blaming the owner for their lack of communication with the staff the entire time. Ordered lunch for my office using Uber Eats. I ordered the winter soup which was pumpkin based and vegan, which was delicious! Awesome portion for the price too. I got a small veggie salad and while I think $5.00 was a little pricey for a clam shell sized portion, the variety of veggies made up for the size. I ate at the Stray Dog Cafe and customer service is so so, several times after ringing the bell for service it took one of the two ladies that work there a long time to come to the counter. The food was greasy and some was undercooked and don't get me started about the chicken and rice soup that was basically water, rice, carrot, onions and celery that was put in the microwave, it lacked flavor and the vegetables were not cooke, also the fountain machine with the stray dog beverages needs to be removed or the drink recipes revamped because the drinks were DISGUSTING!!! The ambiance is greasy spoon and I will not recommend this establishment until changes are made, also I didn't know which menu was accurate and what food items were available! I visited Stray Dog on a Wednesday afternoon and ordered a traditional hotdog with Mac and cheese on top. About the food. I haven't tasted a better hot dog in Akron and the Mac and cheese made took me back to my days in South Carolina where Mac and cheese is a vegetable. The outdoor and indoor seating make Stray Dog a comfortable place for an informal business meeting or to soak up some vitamin D on a lunch break (when the sun does shine in NE Ohio ). They serve some local bottles drinks and their very own condiments! The smooth and efficient process at the counter made for a peaceful visit and helped me get off to my next stop quickly. Came here for lunch and got a chili dog without the bun, a side salad and fresh-brewed iced tea. Service was great, food was delicious. The homemade salad dressing (a mustard vinaigrette, I believe?) was DELICIOUS, as well as the mustard on the hot dog. I stock the mustard regularly, can't be beat for burgers and dogs. Ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a chicken wrap and hummus - both were bland and did not taste very well.
