a chicken pita and french fries
    Ngoc H.

My friend and I attended the Phoenix Festival of the Arts and decided to grab something to eat. We were in mood for gyro and shawarma. I ordered the chicken shawarma which came with fries. Food was decent, fries were good. It was $12 a plate (no drink) which was expected. Overall it was ok.

Have to give 0 stars just for the fact that the lady serving me the falafel meal told me it was vegan when I later found out that the pita bread has milk in it. She also said the tzatziki was vegan which I obviously know is not true since it is yogurt based which is dairy... messaged them on Instagram to find out the pita has dairy after eating it and showed them that their website lists the item as vegan. Never got an apology.

Ok- WOW, delicious food on this truck here! If you ever see it you have to get something! I ordered a gyros with fries and my dad ordered the falafel. I feel falafel are a hit or miss and my dad was blown away how good they were. No complaints whatsoever. My gyros was equally as delicious. The meat was a perfect blend and spiced well.

Man best Gyro food truck ive had in a while Didnt realize they gave me fries so I made it a carb day lol Next time I'll order the greek salad with protein, the fries are good but who needs the carbs on non carb day The Gyro meat was delicious and seasoned right!!!! tzatziki sauce was the best and I asked for an extra sauce I dipped my fries in it and made tbe carbs go away

Not 5 Stars but Very Good! Great guys very personable and quick service for cook to order. If I am being super critical then the greek fries were a bit greasy and chicken shawarma was a tiny bit dry. For food truck this was really good!

This food truck is a regular at our company's monthly food truck round up. It is one of the best of the bunch. Their gyro meat is very generously served and tasty with a healthy amount of fries. I wouldn't say anything about the dishes overly wowed or surprised me. It's just kind of what you'd expect from a Mediterranean gyro food truck. It does not disappoint, and for the price/portion I'll be back for sure.

Took over 10 minutes to get an order out. This is way too long to wait for a simple sandwich.

The best Greek fries I've ever had. The chicken was well seasoned and fries were crispy.

Kinda disappointed in the Greek Fries. Maybe a tablespoon of feta on top, and two ketchup packets.

Anyhow I cannot even begin to praise the absolute feast that is the Spicy Chicken Wrap. So chock full of chicken, beans, vegetables and spicy sauce I get this every time. We came in at 5:35 and there were only 4 other tables of people who all had their food already. I saw one waitress, one bartender, one I'm assuming manager and then a couple people in the kitchen. Waitress came over to our table at 5:50 so we put a tapas order in for the hummus trio before 6pm when it ended. It's weird that the trio only comes with three triangles of pita. Like I'm not going to put that whole pile of hummus on a little triangle. We ordered 2 pitas and she said it was only $1 for them but it was $1.29 each. I also ordered my daughter's kids meal at this time thankfully. The waitress came back at 6:15 and said our meals would be out shortly.....I was like we haven't even ordered our entrees and she was like oh. We put our orders in and the food came out 6:35. We also weren't given silverware because the guy said they didn't have any rolled... Looking back at my pictures from the last time we went, the portion of the Mac and cheese was noticeably smaller. I get that it's free but let's be consistent in portions. The food was fine, but it wasn't hot. Like it was sitting in the window for a while. When our bill came, the girl didn't take the kids meal off so I had to ask her to fix it. I love Pita Jungle food but I'm really over the terrible service. I'm surprised this location is open still. We saw a family walk out because they were waiting so long and saw a couple waiting to be seated for over 15 minutes. People spend their hard earned money to dine with you, you need care about that and do better.

My first experience at Casa De Falafel was phenomenal. As I approached the counter, I was told by…read morethe kind and gracious gentleman my falafel experience would change after trying the one they offer... For a split second, I thought, "That's a good way to intrigue someone to buy and try..." but NO, he turns around for a mere moment with a sample and my eyes lit up, I finished my order "beef Pita," (of which was extremely flavorful, tender, and fresh... the pita had great consistency and it all disappeared in seconds) but sorry, I digress, there I was, grabbing the strawberry lemonade and walking towards the table when yet again, the kind man asked, "how is the lemonade?" To which I respond, "great!" He then proceeded to pull me an additional cup, "please, try the others as well, they're homemade!" A mango pineapple and a passion fruit were awaiting my pallet, and soon enough... they too, were gone. The falafel was absolutely incredible, crispy outside, soft and flavorful and not dry, that's the big one for me... the falafel was perfect... there was only one thing wrong, so I asked... "can I order four more!? and some baklava too" (to take home of course...) I did sneak a bite of the baklava though, again, so tasty, perfect amount of sweetness, not overly sticky, and the right size to end the meal. Casa De Falafel is one that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND... I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu... they will definitely be the only place that I go for a falafel craving... THANK YOU!

Usually LOVE this spot. Today was a letdown. Super…read moredisappointing. Treated some friends, hyped up how good this place was. We both ordered a chicken wrap; I got one, and they shared one. When we got our food, the wraps were TINY- we both requested "no tomatoes" (how I normally order), but the wraps came out like half the size. ABSOLUTE RIPOFF. I cannot justify paying as much money as I did for such a tiny wrap. I saved half and took a picture. In hindsight, I should've taken a photo of the tiny portion on the tray. It looked like a pressed egg roll. Food: delicious BUT OVERPRICED FOR THE TINY PORTION. Service: always friendly, but really guys? This wrap is embarrassing. Ambiance: chill. This must've been what I paid for- cuz the food was a child's portion. Conclusion: thank goodness I ordered some of everything- otherwise, we'd still be hungry. My friends enjoyed the flavors but were not impressed with the size of their wrap. Especially because they ripped off some of the extra wrap, which made it smaller. Doubt I'll be back unless they fix their portions. For real, I feel ripped off. Updated: decreasing from 5 stars to 2.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. We ordered and were asked if we were dining in or taking our food to go. We said dining in, but there were no open tables inside (around 12 total) and zero tables available outside. We ended up waiting in the back for a table to open while staff repeatedly walked around looking for our table number, never once asking if the order might be ours. After several minutes, someone finally asked if we were number 11. We were. Once seated, the decor was cute, but service was mediocre at best. The food was the biggest disappointment. It had been a while since we last visited, and it's definitely not the same. The rice was bland and flavorless, and the gyro meat tasted like frozen, reheated product -- very dry, with the main flavor being salt. Instead of the fresh-carved gyro meat you typically see on a vertical rotisserie at most Greek restaurants, the kitchen area was closed off, so there was no visible preparation or carving station. For nearly $50, the experience simply did not match the price. Between the disorganized service and underwhelming food, we won't be back. Next time, we'll stick to supporting East Valley Greek spots that offer better quality and value. I want to preface, this place used to be good. Not sure of ownership changed, but save yourself a trip and find something better and more affordable
