You have to watch the pricing - it is extremely high. Yes I approved the work and pricing before hand, but it was run through so quickly that I didn't realize what I was paying. $700 and change to install a waterproof connector in a wire? Took him about 30 minutes. I have since checked with two other electricians I know personally and they said that should have been $120 or so TOPS. Also, had to do a call back because the outside outlet boxes were installed with very sloppy use of silicone sealant. Yes, they did fix it on the callback, but they had to scrape the paint off the house around the fixture to remove all the slathered on sealant. This was in a very visible place right next to my front door. We did sign up for their one year subscription at $16 per month that is supposed to give us discounted services (15% off) but I suspect that any actual work will be much more than 15% over market before discount. Their technicians were friendly and professional, but I was hoping that for an over $2,000 bill the work would have at least been done correctly the first time and the charges would be reasonable. I really hate to give less than five star reviews but I'm giving them a three because they did tell me the pricing up front and I agreed to it, it was only afterwards when I read the actual receipt that I realized how much I was charged. Believe me, when they do my "free" whole house inspection and they make recommendations, I'm going to review them with a fine tooth comb and if necessary get additional quotes. I guess my trust factor isn't what it should be with this company when it comes to pricing. read more

Update. Owner never bothered to contact me to address my displeasure. When I contacted THEM, they said they would make it right but proceeded to charge me again for burnt out bulb they installed, charging $346.00 to rent a ladder (don't they have ladders?!) and $126.00 for new bulb. Paid almost 3000 for a sub panel with two breakers for a hot tub 8 feet away from the main panel. After the hot tub was hooked up, one of the breakers kept flipping. After getting Ohio pools and spas out to check the hot tub, he replaced one of the breakers in the new panel and it stopped flipping. Ohio pool and spas wanted their breaker back and for Streb to replace their faulty one but they refused. So basically overpriced and won't stand behind their work. read more

Showed up 20 minutes late. Still charged a service fee of $70 for spending less than 10 minutes to provide the quote. Price quote was outrageous. They are trustworthy, but they change appointment times first it 12-2 then it's 12-3 then it's 2 days later but scheduling can get hard for 2 people to mesh so that's why I didn't include that but the Pricing is outrageously expensive they where OVER double everyone else I'm sure the do nice work but double+ ????? read more

I don't know how this company can justify their high prices. Just to have an old fuse panel replaced with a breaker box, have a couple of lines and outlets installed Streb quoted in writing over $6000, plus they charged around $80 just to visit my home. Even worse, they didn't even inspect the house wiring, all they did was glance at the fuse panel and then gave us the price. They said it would be a 2 day job too. I had another certified electrician come shortly after, he inspected the wiring and the panel, quoted us the price and he did the job in 5 hours and only charged $800. You will find that getting more than 3 estimates will save you a small fortune. The electrician that did ours said he wouldn't even charge $6000 for a whole house rewiring with a new panel. Shop around, don't let a simple job end up costing you thousands. Don't believe me? Look at wiring and panel prices. Even with inflation, fuel prices and labor shortages, no wiring job takes 2 days and costs thousands. read more

The company relies on a third party evaluation to write a report on unverified electrical deficiencies. Look for second opinions or don't waste your money contacting them. read more

Rich was great. When he was giving me an estimate (and it was a reasonable price) he clearly explained all my options. When he came back to do the work he explained exactly what he was going to do, he arrived when he said he would arrive, it took approximately the time that he estimated it would, and he cleaned up when he was done. Called to get an estimate to have my 220V outlets checked out based on contractor complaints that there might be grounding issues. I called and asked for an estimate to have someone come investigate. I was told that an estimate could not be provided over the phone, but that someone could come out and provide an estimate for free. I of course agreed, and when the technicians found that there were no issues, I was then informed that it would cost $80. I mentioned the "free estimate" i was told about over the phone, and the techs called their manager to no avail. $80. read more

I called them to get an estimate to put an outlet in the basement. Kevin and some other guy came out. The actually told me I needed a whole new panel and it would cost me over $2000. I got 3 other estimates and they all said the panel was a 200 amp panel and was fine and it was $175 for the outlet. SHADY! read more

Two very nice men, Kevin and Mason, came to our home, and diligently tried to solve a mystery as to where a tripped GFI outlet was located because a series of outlets were not working, yet nothing was tripped in the breaker box. It wasn't easy because the house is in the middle of some renovations and lots of stuff is in the way. Turns out, we did not remember that a GFI outlet, added some 27 years ago was located behind a bookshelf filled with books. They traced wires throughout the basement and found the outlet, hit reset, and problem solved. They were very respectful, even though we were laughing at ourselves for being forgetful. Anyway, call them for any work to be done. Great company with very nice and knowledgeable people. read more
