Ambiance. Modern. White, grey, green, and pink. Open. Lots of natural lighting. Many families with young kids. Seemed like their main demographic is Mideast folk. They predominately wear black clothing like Hawaiians sport tattoos. Food. Pics say more. Service. Very friendly as we walked up to counter. Patient. Large pastry selection, drinks, and more. You'll need a good minute to process what they offer. Thankfully, they don't rush you. Several people just came in to get boxes of Baklava since it's freshly made. Overall, fine. People come for iced coffee and desserts.

For a better experience and service, it's worth the 20-minute drive to the original Farhat Sweets in Troy. This location has fewer dessert options and poor customer service, which is why I gave it two stars. I visited twice: the first time, I had the pomegranate gelato ($3.50), which was just okay. On my second visit, I tried the Farhat Latte ($4.99) and the Arabic Tea ($2.50). The latte was overly sweet, and the 'Arabic' Tea turned out to be just Lipton.

Farhat Sweet has turned into a joke. We have been going to original location for a while but since they moved and opened up new locations they have almost tripled their prices. The food is a lot worse now. Service is also average. The just made each of the place way more fancy. I really need to stop going here. They also charge you to use your credit card, what decent normal business/restaurant does that these days. Straight scam

    Viral Dubai Chocolate Bar

For $25 I usually love the Dubai chocolate bar but this time there was no kanafa in it terrible would rather just make my own

Very disappointing experience here tonight. We came here for dessert and coffee after we had dinner somewhere nearby. We settled on the chocolate kanafa which is very unique, I've never seen that anywhere else. We also got a coconut delight. Both desserts were really good! They fell short with the customer service and the horrible coffee. Our cashier was younger and maybe doesn't have the best customer service skills yet but she handed me our coffee and tea and I could immediately tell by the color of the coffee that it was going to be awful lol. It was as light as the tea my husband ordered and it was lukewarm. Not even warm, just lukewarm. So I basically had a $3 cup of water with a hint of coffee. They also give you coffee mate original creamers (barf) instead of real cream or half and half. She also handed me 4 packets of sweet and low (barf again) when I asked for sugar so i had to point out actual sugar packets to her lol I also noticed when a young couple stopped in and mentioned it was their first time in there and they didn't know what they wanted, the cashier said to let her know when they were ready to order. She proceeded to take the garbage out, returned without washing her hands, and served a different customer. The young couple again mentioned it was their first time there and seemed confused by all the options. This would have been a good opportunity for her to explain the various middle eastern options or suggest something but they ended up leaving without purchasing anything and I felt kind of bad for them. Although my kanafa was delicious, i don't plan on returning here.

Farhat Sweets is officially OPEN in Sterling Heights(as of 8/5/23), in front of Lakeside Mall. This place is amazing!! Go check it out!

In fact, a few years before, they built a questionably-located apartment building in the middle of parking lot so view of the place is utterly and completely blocked from the road. The place is cavernous and has plenty of hangout space and tables for groups. I've been here three times, mainly when the place is empty and I am the only one or close to the only present. But the barista/staff have always been very pleasant and kind, which is a bonus. There's ample parking (church/former theater, remember?). The place has great natural light and comfortable couches. It's a very good place to grab a latte and chill, by yourself or with others. Unlike other places, they're not blasting music to drown out all conversations and there's very little echo to the place, never mind how large it is. They even post a welcome sign to hangout; just don't bring outside food/beverages. In today's environment when people are looking for a place to be legit chill, they have plenty of places to choose from. Panera and Starbucks are annoyingly loud/rude and corporate. I'd rather choose local. Choose this place at least once or before you know it, we won't have as many of them.

The employee was nice and brings out the food. I went with my family and they got different variations of bagels (salmon, eat well classic, chicken pesto), a wrap, lavender latte, hazelnut latte, banana smoothie, and I got the quinoa chicken pesto with a melo mango smoothie. The food didn't take too long and we all liked our drinks! The food itself was good but nothing too special. There's a lot of options to choose from so I would come again to try their other things with a friend.

I finally get to the window and not even an apology! I complained and asked for at least a $4 or $5 gift card for this almost 30 minute wait! Then a rude young girl comes to the window and said they are short staffed. my response was that is not my fault and you should at least warn people when they order or give a small gift card she said we don't do that and is this your drink!? wow, she needs her attitude adjusted! so I told her to give me a refund . she walked away and sent another worker to give my refund. so bottom line, drinks are way overpriced and these workers need to learn how to treat customers. I'll never get my daily coffee at Starbucks again!! Tim Hortons is better and less expensive anyway!

The third was actually making a drink but when he heard the other two laughing, he put down the order and delicately ran over exclaiming, "Oh, let me see (). He then went back to his drink order, but none of them even acknowledged the customer standing at the counter (me). I asked for a cup of water and was told I needed to order something to get water, so I gladly walked out. Customer focus here is non-existent. That's what you get when you hire children. I guess I'll stick to Biggby. Never an issue there.
