This is my go-to place at Park mall. I'm there twice a month for an event and usually eat there. The people that serve the food are typically very friendly and helpful as well as cheerful. The food is very good. I love the bowl with rice, beans and El Pastor myself but the tacos are also good. They fix the bowl with your choice of cilantro white or Mexican rice, black beans or pinto beans, and your choice of meat. In addition the topping (street style or gringo), they have other toppings you can get yourself at the end of the counter such as pico de Gallo. The taco Tuesday is a good deal but I don't mind the price for a meal. I'll continue to go back. read more

This has been my favorite place to eat when I find myself in the Park Mall! The corn tortillas are always moist, the meat is perfectly cooked and they serve the tacos like street food! Went to this location in the mall for Taco Tuesday when their tacos are $1.99. So so so worth it. All the meats I had were delicious. I had the Pollo Asada, Al Pastor, and Fish tacos. All were excellent with great flavor. The fish taco is the best fish taco I've had in Tucson, second only to Taco Fish. But really, being 2nd Place is a very very high honor with me and my wife. She *loves* fish tacos and yes, Taco Fish is the best for her, but she also agreed that this was an excellent fish taco with all the right flavor combinations. And since this is only 10 minutes away vs. 25 minutes to Taco Fish, guess where we'll be eating more often? Especially on Tuesdays... 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. Things have gone downhill here since the pandemic in general, most notably the egregiously smaller portion sizes. But lunch on Saturday was the final straw: The two bros working the counter were so absorbed in their discussion of the previous night's drinking binge and the ensuing rideshare issues that they gave us the quesadilla intended for the patron behind us...and charged us for it, too. When my wife realized what had happened a few minutes later, she returned to the register. A manager was called, who authorized a refund of the quesadilla itself but made no adjustment for the excess tax or tip. He made a point of audibly telling the cashier to "make sure you get the quesadilla," which my son watched him then throw right into the trash. Way to save the planet - and treat your customers like kings. Needless to say, we won't be returning. read more

Just had the best tacos I've ever had in Tucson. It's a small place with friendly people and big flavor. I had 3 different tacos. Fish taco was crispy and cooked to perfection with a touch of spice. The only reason I go to the mall- and there's always a long line, but so worth it. You can get street style (for me!) or gringo style- the house guacamole is on point and I wish I had tried it sooner! I sometimes get a quesadilla or carne asada fries, and it's ALL good. This is not completely authentic Mexican fare, but it is close enough, not to mention the fact that it is a cheap and solid option for dining, in a place filled with overpriced options. I have been here a few times now, and have tried their carne asada and chicken tacos as well as their Sonoran Hot Dog, coupled with their watermelon drink. Everything that I have tried here is solid. I like to order my tacos street style, which adds a more authentic touch to the meal, since they are made with corn tortillas and have onions and cilantro on them. You don't need lettuce, cheese or tomato on their asada. Plus I'm pretty sure it's desecration. They also had a really good salsa bar with two types of salsa- the mild is more gringo style-no pica. The hot is more my speed but you can mix them both for good flavor. They also have pickled red onion, lime wedges and guacamole. My husband said this was the best sonoran dog he's ever had. Their bread is unlike any other. It basically melts in your mouth where most places give too much chewy bread. It somehow melts in your mouth but manages to keep all the delicious fillings in. Okay. So about 5 months ago I reviewed this. My husband and I HATE going to any mall. It's the worst. Get this though. Before he broke his hip, we love this place so much that we tried to go every single Friday after work. It's that good. Their fish tacos are 100% top 3 in Tucson. Their verde salsa is on point. It's so good I grab like 8 little free 1 oz cups of it and put it on everything. Their nachos are amazing. But seriously, their fish tacos are so good, I absolutely feel like you need to hear this again. Also, their tacos al pastor turned me on FINALLY to, well, al pastor. I was not a fan before. They do it more cubed and grilled rather than marinated and I found I LOVE this style. Don't forget to add jalapeno sauce to everything. Oh and they have 2 styles. I get both every time except for the fish tacos. Those I tell them to do their way and add, you know it, the jalapeno sauce. So so good. To. Die. For. First off the prices are insanely good. Second, the food is amazing. It had kind of a chipotle style ordering system except unlike chipotle, the food is authentic and delicious. I got the 2 pastor tacos on flour tortilla and rice and ferried beans. I also got a spicy margarita with my meal. I could have eaten actually 15 of those tacos they were delicious.
