They also just started a new Core Tone Reform class with reformers for regular members, and that class kicks your butt! I also really enjoy the sauna, steam room, and jacuzzis. Another benefit is the kids membership. My stepdaughter loves coming to the kids club for gymnastics, rock climbing, yoga, and more. I know that she is having fun while I'm doing a class. They have Parents Night Out on the weekends and that's such a nice perk! There's also day camps, which has saved us a few times when we needed child care during a school break. The pool is also wonderful in the summertime. The cafe food is average. I'd love it if the quality was amped up just a bit. The only thing I really ever get is the vegan PB& B shake. It's delicious! It has peanut butter, banana, cafe mocha greens, almond milk, and vegan protein powder. I haven't been to the salon yet, but it's great that this is an option. They also are never any help when you come to them with questions about your "contract". I got a new credit card and needed to remove my card that was expiring from my payment method. The process was impossible. 2 weeks passed before anybody could give me an answer on how to change my payment method. Then, when it finally got switched, I got hit with late fees and a service charge totaling over $100. An absolute joke of a gym. Stay away at all costs.

My buddy in NJ got me hooked on hot yoga and so far I've taken about 7-8 of hot yoga classes too. Now in NJ hot yoga is a dry heat. Fast forward to NC and the hot yoga at Firefly is another animal. The room is heated with like humidifier steam...you can literally see the steam in the room. When class starts the steamers are turned off and that heat is on in that room! I saw 2 other objects in the room and maybe some heat was coming from them too. Oh did I mention the temperature outside was already about 95 degrees. I think the room itself was 100 degrees. The instructor William was amazing. He has a very calming voice and because the class was so intimate he knew I was never in his class and another woman as well. She was from Philly and I was the Jersey girl. William welcomes you and makes you feel very comfortable. We progressed through the moves slowly but intensely. William also walked around the room to correct form and help you to get deeper into the stretch. When the class was done corpse pose aka: savasana felt so GOOD! I loved the ice cold towel they give each student at the end. The studio is hidden. At first I thought my GPS was wrong. Have you ever seen the movie Deliverance? Yes, think that movie. The studio is inside of a like country club/retirement community/pool house...just weird but it's beautiful. The yoga place when you walk in is on the left and there is an attendant at the desk. There are locker rooms and showers...the yoga room is upstairs door on the right. I purchased a 2 week deal for $25. I am in town for 3 days but you can't beat the deal. So if in the Cary/Raleigh area check them out and make sure you're able to take the heat! Good place very good place.

This worked but I never received a confirmation. I had to finally call customer service at 833-448-2561. They were able to confirm the cancellation on the phone but could not explain the missed messages through portal. Overall a good place, just be forewarned you will have to do some serious hustle to get that cancellation.

Master Chang's is unprofessional at handling any issues. I was told I could change my membership at…read moreanytime, and believed it. However, upon trying to place my classes on hold, I was made aware of a "cancellation fee." This was the first I'd heard of such a thing, so I asked for clarification. I would have to pay 25% of a "12 month commitment." I was only cancelling because they had made a drastic change to the time of the class, and I had chosen this location specifically because of that time. When I explained this, I was told that this was "neither here nor their because" the gym "reserved the right to change any and all class times." I cannot imagine who in the world can commit to 12 months for a 4-year-old when the school can bait and switch you with times whenever they would like. Now, they are refusing to speak to me, but they continue to take my money and bill my credit card even though they claimed we could at least hold. They are forcing me into a position where my only recourse is a legal one. Looking into other reviews now, I see that I am not the only person who has had this experience, and I wish I had known that they are so unscrupulous in advance of attending. The classes are very expensive. They like to hide this informationYou should expect to pay at least $164 per month, plus a joining fee, plus a minimum of an extra $30 every other month for belt testing for a disorganized and overly loud 30ish minutes of class. Also, the space is very hot in the summer, so you should expect to shell out more money so your child can wear a t-shirt in class during the warm weather. They only allow Master Chang's branded t-shirts in class. The children are also not adequately distanced. The location is right beside a toy store that always has toys on display outside, so you know, enjoy saying "No, I'm not buying you a toy" every time you enter and exit.  I have much more I can say, but I have a small child to attend to. I don't know how I could possibly  take my child here after finding out they have such aggressive policies. I wish I had known this before signing up, and I feel terribly guilty for convincing others to join. I hate to write long reviews, but I feel now that I need to make up for getting a friend locked into this situation by sharing my personal experience.
