Just finished my StretchLab session at this Fremont location, and my session was right after a rigorous workout (I have not worked out in years). My workout session was literally 2 doors down from here and I was barely able to wobble over on my jello-like legs after the workout. They say the best time for a stretch session is right after a workout, I can confirm this now that I've experienced it! Erica gently but firmly guided and pushed my body to some deep gratifying stretches. Add a strechlab session following up your training or exercise session/routine and you'll understand the hype. read more

I originally gave StretchLab a very positive review because I've had some genuinely excellent experiences here, and there are two flexologists in particular who have been great for me. They have different approaches, one incorporates more myofascial-type work while the other really focuses on the stretch but both understand what my body needs and consistently provide a high quality session. Unfortunately, as they've become increasingly booked, I've had to schedule with other flexologists, and that's exposed what I think is the biggest opportunity for improvement here: consistency across the team. I completely understand that every flexologist will have their own personality and style, and I actually appreciate that diversity. What shouldn't vary so dramatically is the quality of the stretch or the ability to adapt to a client's needs and history. With some flexologists, I've experienced too much conversation at the expense of the actual work. With others, pressure can go from appropriately firm to unnecessarily aggressive without enough adjustment based on the area being worked. I've also had sessions where it doesn't feel like my existing progress, preferences, or goals are really being carried forward. That's particularly frustrating because these things are documented in our profiles. I don't expect every flexologist to stretch exactly the same way, but I do think every flexologist available for me to book should be able to review my profile and deliver a session within a reasonably consistent standard. At roughly $650 a month in credits, this becomes more than a minor inconvenience. If one of my preferred flexologists calls out or they're both booked, which is increasingly common, I either have very limited options or risk using an expensive credit on a session that doesn't provide comparable value. I still think this is a good location with some very talented people, which is why I'm leaving constructive feedback rather than simply walking away. But the experience shouldn't depend so heavily on getting one of two specific flexologists. I'd love to see management focus on stronger consistency across the entire team, better continuity between sessions, attention to client profiles, and the ability to adjust technique and firmness to the individual. If that improves, I'd have no hesitation returning this review to the rating I originally gave. read more

I've been going to StretchLab Fremont for about 4 months now and it's been a great experience. I have chronic joint stiffness since my childhood, and every time I tried stretching on my own, I ended up hurting myself. Passive stretching here has helped me a lot. My trial session was with Anya and I felt better right away. She's easily one of the best flexologists there -- very professional, knowledgeable, communicates throughout the session, and every stretch feels spot-on. I can feel steady improvement each time. Big shout-out to Caleb at the front desk as well. He helped me sign up and has been amazing to work with -- super patient, easy to talk to, and have been managing my account so I don't lose sessions since I travel a lot. Avoid. Very deceptive. There is a 3 month minimum subscription after the initial visit which isn't publicly disclosed or common knowledge. There is also an early termination fee which is never disclosed. If you sign up for a monthly subscription there is a minimum 3 month commitment. After you sign up for additional sessions the website changes to list the 3month minimum sign up period but still leaves off the actual termination amount. Unethical owner. I asked for a refund after realizing they aren't as effective as a physical therapist and the hidden minimum membership period and early cancellation fees. I signed up for a 309.00 session and had to start a credit card dispute to get a refund. Owner never followed up with a refund. there is no way they will stay in business long term. read more

i started liking this place but then got over charged and was not very happy like they should be more caring because i had a stroke but no i understand they have to make money and stay open but i was 1 of there first customers 2 i just wish they would charge me less But they did have me walking better read more

At the end of my stretch I was potentially interested in scheduling sessions here and there throughout my schedule whenever I could find the time. It's more of a nice to have, not a necessity. But the receptionist was so pushy about selling package sign-ups that I won't be going back again. I don't want to go through that experience again. After the visit, I started to realize/understand the difference between StretchLab, Chiropractor, and a massage. I am a member at this facility and have been going there for approximately 1.5 years. I cannot say enough positive things about this facility. The facility is clean; staff members are professional and friendly; each flexologist is amazing. You are greeted as you enter the establishment and you feel welcomed. I actually feel like I'm part of a family. I have one flexologist I mainly work with, however on occasion due to schedule conflicts I have had the opportunity to work with five other flexologists. EVERYONE of them is very skilled, professional, caring, and listen to the client. It does not matter what level of flexibility you are at the flexologist works with you, NOT against you. I am a healthcare professional. I have high standards and definitely would not have continued to support this company or refer friends if my standards were not being met. My review is based on the treatment I received via text. I had seen stretchlab a few times and I looked up their information on their website and I wanted more information so I contacted stretchlab through their website form. I didn't get a call or an email. I received a text that seemed rushed and not properly thought through. I wasn't ok with the text exchange and I don't think the sender realizes that not everyone is ok with a rushed disinterested approach. I felt like I was being contacted by someone from Craigslist wanting to sell me used equipment, but they didn't know anything about the equipment and thought its' my job to make sense of their text. From my experience with this awkward text exchange tells me that this business feels a sense of entitlement and in the long run they will fail their customers. read more

I have been going to the Stretch Lab for about 7 months now. I get a 50 minute stretch each week. I look forward to my Stretch Lab sessions. When I first started, I found that they stretch parts of my body that I didn't know could be stretched. Also the neck and back stretches are amazing. I feel great after each session. read more

I have always wanted to try stretch lab and finally decided to visit the location in Fremont. I wasn't happy with my visit. I visited the store at 1:45 pm yesterday for a pre-booked 2:00 pm appointment. I was asked to Pay $59 for my inaugural session. Once I made the payment I was asked if I was wearing Grip Socks. I wasn't told to wear one earlier when I called. I was told by the girl at the front desk that I would need one and that it would cost me $14. I decided to buy the socks even though I had a pair at home but my home was 20 mins away and I would be late for my appointment. When I pulled out my credit card I was told that they could charge it to the card on file. I was shocked that they had my card on file. I was not asked if they could keep my card on file when I paid for my session. I was merely trying out the location and had no intentions of visiting regularly or buy a subscription. I told them to delete my card on file. They said that they would reach out to their management about that. Totally shady and unethical way of doing business. I will not visit any STRETCH LAB locations due to this. read more

I had the worst experience at this stretch lab center. The owner reels you in and does a great job until she gets really comfortable with you. Then she gets lazy with the stretches and her employees are loud too. I came here with my gf and for some reason. The owner thought it was chat time instead of focusing on the stretches! Had a 50 min today with Rhianna, first of all, Keep in mind I don't really exercise, I don't really like to break a sweat and I don't like pain. Well let me tell you I sweated so much and I don't even know why! Rhianna stretched me and she constantly kept checking on me and asking me if I was ok, I was literally hyperventilating because one, I have never stretched, nor did I know my body could do this and although it was painful a bit, it was good pain, Oh my god after my session, my body felt so good, I can't believe it. Rhianna said she didn't want me to be in pain, so she kept checking on me. I told her I was ok but really My body was getting a workout with out me even moving. 100% I would recommend everyone try. I sit at a desk all day and I am so stiff that I desperately needed this. I am also suffering from shoulder pain and Rhianna stretched me and I did not feel any pain. I absolutely LOVE this place. The assisted stretching really helps with my muscle aches and pains as well as my joints. My calves and hamstrings stop cramping ever since I've started going here. I've also noticed when I run my stride is better and I've been able to run at a faster pace. It has also helped minimize lower back pain. The staff here is super friendly. They always greet you when you walk in, and make everyone feel super comfortable like they've known them for years. The staff (flexologist, what they like to be called) are very knowledgeable and they all come from different backgrounds. Such as physical trainers, yoga instructors, physical therapist, chiropractors and much more. I've incorporated this weekly into my lifestyle. And at the age of 40+. I had high hopes for this place but have realized this business is run purely for profit, not clients. I signed up for an introductory session, and unfortunately had to reschedule due to illness. I was in constant text contact with the trainer, and she rescheduled me with seemingly no issue. However I had to cancel again this week, and received a terse reply that I had no more options to reschedule and the intro session fee that I paid would NOT be refunded. I emailed them back to ask them to reconsider, but there's no reply. I'm really disappointed and shocked how ruthless these people have treated a recovering chemo patient, actively trying to work on improving my health, and thought that this place would partner with my goals. Yikes. Went through an ad and gave my info thinking they'd release their price structure after I did, instead they texted me a few days later to invite me to some pop up they were doing. I said I was only looking for pricing info and they said I'd have to talk on the phone with them to get access to that. I told them I didn't like this sales tactic and to lose my number. Then they had the audacity to call me anyway to continue their sales pitch! Like, when someone tells you to lose their number, you don't continue to sell them on your service. Wtaf? Their sales style is not transparent and is *very* pushy. The woman on the phone was still talking after I scolded her for calling me after I said lose my number. Assisted stretching is a good service. One session has done more for me than the 103 chiropractic adjustments that I've had. I finally have relief in my lower back pain and hips. It's not perfect but it's significant for me. My stretcher was knowledgeable and everybody there was polite. I recommend this place if you have pain or even if you're feeling tightness. read more

I found this place based off of a referral that I got from a co-worker. I had my first introductory session here and everything from the email confirmation to the reminder went perfect. Everything was clearly explained to me on what to bring (grippy socks) and even though I didn't bring any I did purchase a pair there. I was a few minutes early but was greeted immediately by the receptionist and was offered a bottle of water while I waited. I believe "Emily P" was the one that was working on me for this session. She was very nice and asked if I had any preexisting injuries or any places I'd like her to focus on. She also did ask for my permission to touch me prior to starting the stretching session. She did a very good job at getting me loosened up and identifying all the muscles that were tight - I definitely felt it when I left. Also throughout the session I was asked for my feedback consistently to ensure that I wasn't feeling any discomfort or pain. I did read that someone felt tricked or had to get a membership to be able to go here. That was not the case in my experience, they did tell me the perks of the membership and how much money I'd saved if I got one, but I didn't feel pressured to. I asked them if I can keep coming in as a non-member as I didn't have a problem with paying a little extra to allow myself some more flexibility in my schedule (pun intended). After all I don't think I'd come here more then 2x a month and the base membership is 3 sessions per month if I recall correctly. I didn't once feel that the team working there was deceptive or was trying to pull a fast one on me. Yes you get a heavier discount for taking a membership but thats a normal practice so I wasn't surprised. I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're looking to increase your flexibility/mobility. Apparently it's really good if you like to golf. For me it'll definitely be something I'll be adding to my regular fitness routine. read more
